  1. -1 Tbh gods lore is shifty at best. I could totally see mag doing something like this just to rustle some jimmies. You guys actually read any of the puppettalk/conversion speeches? The gods are all trolls. Deception and drama all around. Lets just play it off as kag and lib were in a twisted plot to trick mag and were very successful. Cause even tho mag claims to love vynora he always wanted to do it with a goth chick. Knowing this, libila distracted him long enough for kag to make off with the book. You gais approaching this 'issue' in the entirely wrong way.
  2. all drama aside....I feel the way that such a thing could be implemented with minimal hassle is to make champions the result of an item given by gods. All buffs and benefits are the result of equipping the, unique to each god, champion item(coughcapecough). Now assuming what people have said about ruler items/bonuses becoming inactive on homeservers is indeed true, it shouldn't be so difficult to have this champ item act in the same way. Champ points are 'spell effects,' no? So those would still be linked to the player not the item. This also gives the possibility for unique looking models for champions that represent the gods. In the end, can it really be considered a benefit? I mean, lets say the champ item is a helm or chest item, it'd basically act like whatever ql plate. Whats so broken about that? I suppose people will say "omgarrr home servar too safe!!! he won't die and they will hide there forever!!!"....to which i'd point out the point decay and remind that if it is implemented like the above...theres no reason to even be on the home servers other then to chase an enemy crossing a border. I believe the reason rolf made champions unable to cross borders isn't as 'an intended penalty,' but rather because, like many things, its difficulty to implement in a clean way.
  3. ALOT depends on mission types... if its back to back 'cut tree' stuff where only one can finish it...potential to dominate the ticket pool. But I think it's supposed to be lottery so ppl don't complain they have no chance. A cumulative system wouldn't be terrible imo...would give you other options aswell. Adds up like karma...has a menu like karma...at certain amounts you can redeem for things like valrei items, res stones, glimmer or ada, dragon eggs even. But the current system is totally luck of lottery or luck of mission types.
  4. the newsletters and various forum posts DID explain it. first scen point = 1 entry to lottery...every 300 is one more 'ticket'....its based off of faction not your religion.... you had 1400....1+ (1400/300)= 5 'tickets'..... considering anyone can get their first ticket for doing something like 'sacrifice 1 (out of 50) foal'....5 tickets still isn't much you do get rewards if offline (items) as i recall the second person to get an item (book from fo) was offline when it happened. Each scenario has a specific item it gives. Only one is given out...but (once again as mentioned in the post/newsletter/etc) they typically have 3 charges meaning 3 ppl can use.
  5. this is and has been wurm for a very longtime. truthfully I doubt the server or the game's maps could handle even 100 person pvp battles. If it ain't broke, don't fix it?
  6. I have a pretty strong feeling the 'excessive' nogumps are related to libila's bugged movement/missions currently. So the suggestion/complaint may be based on bugged behavior and not a reflection of the actual intended mechanics. In addition, bl gets plenty of valrei spawns considering mag fo vyn and wurm all can send to us.
  7. only thing that is odd about the situation is that the very nature of an "alliance" isn't one that is broken and reformed 4 times in a single week. Diplomacy is cool. It's a very real part of war and conflict. The amount of flipfloppy alliance, however, is dumb. Ceasefire's have minimum times ususally and not an 'at will' sort of agreement. Adding a more complex and timed manner of diplomacy would solve any 'issues' with it and provide an additional layer of gameplay.
  8. clear cut the youngs and replant. On affliction we had lots and lots of bugged tree/bush tiles (i think every server did?) where we'd pick sprouts and tree would transform to birch or lavender. A large grape field turned to just "bush" and was untouchable in most regards. This has now been fixed and I've replanted my woodcutting grind farm and they seem to be showing normal growth.
  9. is ALWAYS 1str per imp 6800+? or do you sometimes get +2 or something? My guess is maybe certain things 'increase difficulty' of the imping action when its attached. Maybe different sloped doors are harder to imp? Worth a check if you have multiple steel doors on different slopes. Cause i mean....+1 str is going form 68ql to 68.01 which is the kind of imp's you get when you are at 'max difficulty'.
  10. found a random hen lead to 1x1 house dropped 100x cotton seed get info everyday end of 5 days 25 eggs in pile Hunger value 1, fat level 48, nutrition level 8.580282, thirst level 0, dominated by none, loyalty level 0.0. Hunger value 4901, fat level 46, nutrition level 6.9868603, thirst level 0, dominated by none, loyalty level 0.0. Hunger value 7001, fat level 46, nutrition level 1.1736395, thirst level 0, dominated by none, loyalty level 0.0. Hunger value 4901, fat level 44, nutrition level 0.9806992, thirst level 0, dominated by none, loyalty level 0.0. Hunger value 28900, fat level 42, nutrition level 2.413135, thirst level 0, dominated by none, loyalty level 0.0. This hen was eating every single possible chance it could. It never wandered off tile with pile of seeds(1x1 house). All seeds are 80ql (as if it matters). It continuously loses nutri and fat. I just kept the hen around incase libila demanded another stupid sacrifice (nonaggressives besides dogs are rare on affliction) but ended up finding some interesting results. My guess is that its purposely designed to starve to death. If you could perpetually 'farm' chickens and eggs you'd have an incredible amount of hens after a bit of beginning setup time. Beyond that I believe hen's may stop laying eggs at a certain fat level. Possibly 0. I'll continue trying to keep it alive as i have 20 billion cotton seeds and libila has an odd sense of humor.
  11. The concept of mailing is that of spirit possession....spirits are carrying our items around to other people... Is any restriction really even logical?

    few ppl IMO see the heart of the issue here. The lore thing is made moot when you consider the beginning of time...there has always been wl/bl priest alts. And wl's using bl enchants...bl using wl enchants...and both using combined enchants on same item. If lore was REALLY that big of a deal wouldn't it mean such things should be made impossible? Now, of course an enchant is much diff then the actual combination of priests in battle, but lore is lore right? Why would such a pure lovely dovey wl'er use rotting touch? etc etc etc The primary issue is that people are required to make use of both wl and bl in order to be competitive. You can draw up any argument you want about how its not required but you'll only look silly. What this says is there is a balance issue. Its not the first time and certainly not the last time such things are discussed. Thats why hots got Botd anyway...because no woa or coc was too unfair. The way to 'fix' such problems it to make it so such a situation isn't needed. If people feel there is a need due to imbalance to mix white and blacklights they will find a way regardless of claims of 'lore'. If its that important that lore be maintained, make an effort that balance is maintained between the opposing religions.

I was going to say that like above...the thing i remembered most was...godA had to win and 'gain the favor of walnut the treekeeper' then goda had to win again and walnut would give cherries while godA rewards a follower with them. godA wins again while still in the favor of walnut and recieved more cherries and cherries go to same -now demigod- player they would become a full god. If at any point godB or godC earns the favor of walnut there would be no way to get more cherries. Last i remember (too lazy to sift thru twitter) libila had the favor of walnut...yet nathan got the key just because of rotten shard scenario when vyn won. I think the favor of walnut stuff was scrapped and is purely based off of scenario objectives. Sermons always tell you whats up. Like current one "we will gain immense strength" is probably global faction +body str...got bodystam month or two ago. All that being said...doesn't help much with demi to god. I guess hope vyn wins and see whats up? Hope more for a priest converting yes/no dialogue that gives you the full details before the account gets nuked lol.
