  1. They need to make it so the client/server can handle approx 50 v 50 with 200 horses in local and combat going on, if they can manage that feat then I would think about these more complex changes. But atm the actual game doesn't cope very well at even half those numbers.
  2. To fix the others a bit need to look again at pillar damage and go somewhere between how they were and how they are now. They also need to make Direct damage (Fireheart/Ice) spell bit better as everyone agree they are bad. If they go in and start changing things for priests they should have look at everything and do some tweaking from player feedback, then review it before going on live servers. A slow process but players might get something fair and what they want in the end. Similar to when Dev ask for feedback on Valrei spells and for PVP suggestions.
  3. Yea I think Light of Fo is so popular and effective as the only heal you can use in actual combat due to AOE. They should make the other heals easier to use by being able to cast directly on the player and work from biggest wound to smallest, and give them approx a 2-3 tile range as people don't stand still., I dont think it would be OP as they are quite cost ineffective and fairly long cast timers. The big full heal works directly on the player but take 40 favor, and 30 sec cast not very efficient unless person is almost dead and safe place to stand for 30 sec. Im not sure why that spell has such a long cast timer when LoF doesnt, bit of mystery. Basically I agree with Daredevil that all other heals are too hard to use in PVP and make LoF so much better than the rest.
  4. I could go along with that idea of improving the buff you get when kingdom is outnumbered and even making it stronger in the HOTA zone etc ( a total overhaul of that buff basically). The OP idea is too ambitious for Wurm and need to think of something that is more likely to get implemented in the game. If you want to do HOTA outnumbered you need fast horses (HH, good gear etc.) so im not sure what kind of buff would really help someone, as you would just get horse shot out and wait for the group if they get some God-like combat abilities. Maybe they should improve the crappy "shine of the rush" etc so horse can be faster and give bigger bonus to outnumbered party, its not an easy one to balance really but I think possible in some ways. These things seem like way to do it as already in the game and never get used.
  5. They have plans for 2 new armor types, i cant find the post now, but i believe one was splint mail and i think ring mail, they should use fur and things like alloys of copper etc to give more diverse crafting recipes imo with the new types.
  6. +1 then can draw better penis' with these tools. That is what we use the map for in answer to the guy above.
  7. Would benefit Fo priest more than anyone, a good bearpaws cast isnt too bad on weak creatures even without skill. You kick when not wearing armor (i think just leg armor?) but very weak attack.
  8. cut and paste from another thread: If you watch the bad performance at around 35-40 min mark after the large goblin spawn, that is exactly what you get in large PVP fights. I dont belive it was the server I think it was the client struggling with all the models and actions (alot of hits and blocks etc) that the Goblins created, when he restarts performance is fine, exactly like in the game. Im not expert but i dont think network/bandwith etc. is the culprit I think its a bottleneck of memory at the client end. I mean you get a combination of both to be fair, but the stuttering and delay in UI seen at that point I think was client. More evidence is when he flys away from the action the terrible performance stays, A quick relog of client and would bet he would be smooth again, but the damage is done after the huge spawn until a relog clears memory or whatever. I think i heard the word garbage collection being banded around and seem like a good place to start looking for the cause of the issue, It also seem to affect people who roam large area of the map solo and when low pop on server aswell, further cementing the fact it isnt due to server but client. I think Dev are aware of the issue as they hired that guy who worked on frostbite engine but just want to give some ideas to help pin point this problem as big thorn in our side in PVP fights. And 1 more bit of evindence - Go to Strongbox on server Serenity that place is famous for its ability to kill your client. We like to call it the SB slums or ghetto as full of newbie shacks and items that can cause client lag. To end on a good note I got much nicer performance overall with a large local, except when this problem comes up.

  10. I wouldn't go as far to say as it been fixed, but ye thanks for looking at it.
  11. Epic would of been great with 1 server but they had to add the home servers and make it semi PVE/PVP and in the end made the whole cluster worse. (My opinion) Same compromise with Chaos and letting people go back to freedom. The player numbers are far worse when take into account alts and people who dont want to PVP on Epic (they want fast skills though), this true number is much worse than the figures shown at login.
  12. I agree that another server will just dilute the populations more, it currently just about bordering on MMO status with around 50-120 people per server. Not much more than standard server sizes in new FPS games. Now if this tech was being tested to merge existing servers then that's cool, but that comes with a big heap of problems from the player base and unlikely to happen.
  13. The simple answer is PVP so you can protect your own roads and enclosures, with those skills such as Fighting and Longsword. Need to have a decent reputation (criminal? bounties?) system in place to make this solution work.
  14. Tentacles has never been visible (afaik) and all pillar got a recent nerf so they tick damage less often. Should still do some damage.
  15. Why is the current scenario not ending? and approx 3 scenarios back JK won and got no tome. And source springs and Salt are very very small amount if talking about 5k karma, Very easy missions are the only real way to get that kind of karma. sacrifice 1 mission item = 1000, cut a tree = 1000, source = about 12?. I would say missions need to be balanced as temples and pylons are too much work in comparison to some of the easier ones. Those building missions should reward everyone in the vicinity and not just final person (or remove building missions all together is my favourite idea). And why would someone want to spend 5k karma to give a tiny advantage to his kingdom so a random person can get a tome ? (if it helps me win the lotto then possibly, but still no) I would rather save it to karma home 5 times but im quite selfish
