  1. "I didn't successfully break the rule I tried to break. Checkmate." C'mon
  2. -1 the rule is there and it's not a secret. Whether or not Chaos has good priests doesn't matter. While I personally feel that champing as a whole should be removed or at least reverted back to the 1 point per day mechanic, it's still a great benefit to kill alts for fight skill, affinities and the extra casts as well as the epeen points. I just wish they permanently banned everyone who killed alts.
  3. Which is basically every day, thanks to the new system Catapults are the only real way to enter most deeds and if a deed has even a few coordinated defenders, it's extremely difficult to get in since they can outrepair catapults unless you have a bunch of synchronized catapults, which is itself a huge pain and very difficult to do.
  4. That has nothing to do with this post. Having the option to follow these gods isn't the same as someone being a 95 weaponsmith and any comparison there is just ridiculous. Being a 95 weaponsmith is different than the fact that these new gods screw with balance, render the old gods largely useless, and introduce a large set of bugs. The point is that these extra gods are redundant and really screw with the design of the game. The whitelight / blacklight god divide is almost entirely gone now since most of the spells are now accessible by both groups. Magranon is rendered almost 100% useless (even moreso than before) since most of his unique goodies (res stone and damage buff) are accessible by other gods who have a better set of spells and restrictions or saccables. Not to mention the fact that the entire system is still riddled with bugs even now, long after it was introduced. Messing with alignment and casting on allies with player gods is FUBAR. I'd be down with reverting all of these gods and allowing players the 1-time option to revert to a template god of equal faith or rehauling the entire system and introducing a unique set of spells for these new gods, but the balancing of that would probably be nightmarish since the balance of the original 4 gods has really never been good. Adding these 3 new gods and spinning the roulette wheel of spell selection just goofs the whole thing up even more. Honestly though, this stuff wasn't even meant to happen. We had one demigod, Nathan, who was virtually unkillable for years and never ascended. Then Rolf "fixed" it and suddenly we have three demigods appear then rapidly become gods (due to a bug that was fixed, I believe). This left Rolf and co. in a position where they either have to revert this disaster and piss shortsighted people off who hopped on the conversion bandwagon, or buckle up and try and make it work with this half-baked system. I don't want to descend down the PvP vs PvE hole, but the irony of it all is that this system really messes up the Epic servers, who were the intended audience for this system in the first place and the reason that these gods even exist on Valrei, and yet it'll likely be kept in place by non-Epic players who swapped over their priests and refuse to see it changed for various reasons.
  5. This was the first thread I found so I'll bump this one +1
  6. It'll never happen but +1 make Wurm great again
  7. One time when I was a champion, my ally created a rock wall that kicked me off my horse. Then a drakespirit came and killed my horse. Then JK came and killed me as I was cruising along at 15kmh on my backup. +1 to getting rid of these even more broken rock walls
  8. macros are dumb and dumb people use them the end
  9. Did Smeagain ban you for going afk?
  10. Said the people who wanted the challenge server, player gods, artifact "rebalancing", and of course the new elevation map. But hey, maybe the 5th time is the charm? Seriously. Cheap gimmicks aren't going to fix the game and our joke of an elevation population. Its dumb when people suggest half-baked ideas then become dismissive without an actual argument whenever someone points out that we've been over this topic 50 thousand times. Removing local might be neat. It might be an absolute joke that completely fucks over anyone who leaves deed without a personal bodyguard and runs into 10 people hiding behind a wall because this game has horrible ways of visually identifying people and wasn't designed with that in mind.
  11. One cold, crisp wintry night, the bait hero of Mol-Rehan known as Namekat discovered a great beast known as the Forest Giant. This massive creature stunned and terrified the small child, and he ran back to tell big papa Gary what he saw. Namekat rang the great glimmer bell outside his cave and Gary stirred from his slumber. Gary listened to the boy's story, intent on discovering the truth himself. Gary emerged from his glorious hole lined with glimmersteel to rally his most trusted warriors (anyone who was online, really) and they set forth to do battle with this legendary creature. Luckily, he had followed Namekat to within a short ride of the Mol-Rehan capital. When the warriors first saw the giant, they were mortified. He stood erect, many feet tall, with a girth unmatched by even the most powerful creatures. They immediately engaged in combat with the beast. The forest giant, wielding a large birchwood club, swung his wood around wildly, hoping to smash the weak creatures beneath his mammoth package of death and despair. The powerful warriors beat it as hard as they could. After a short skirmish, the beast was struck by a great blow from the almighty Mrgary. He became stiff. He promptly fell to the ground, his mighty hand releasing his great wooden weapon. Little Namekat attempted to lift the corpse off the ground, but he could not get it up. Gary hauled the corpse back to his glimmer cave where he placed the limp beast on the ground before butchering it like a giant sausage, distributing its massive, rare bone to his most trusted adviser, Mayrin. He decided to be nice, but not too nice, and give just the tip of the beast, the head, to his best pal, Theplexx. Evidence:
  12. No, it's to reward players for winning a fight instead of winning the "take bind spam" competition when someone dies. It used to happen all the time where one side would lose a fight but actually come out ahead because they managed to grab the more valuable corpses. Trust me, it was a LOT worse back then.
  13. I have 91 effective Coalmaking. My maximum coal pile quality using 100ql dirt and 91ql logs (not using 10% walnut buff) is around 70. It doesn't seem like using higher quality mats helps either. I can use 90ql dirt and 77ql logs and I still get ~70ql piles. It also varies pretty heavily. I can use the same quality mats for 4 piles and end up with piles that are between 60 and 70 quality. People in my village with 75 effective Coalmaking can make piles about the exact same quality I can. It's either bugged or intentionally soft capped.
  14. Casting and imping an item aren't even close to being similar and it's a nonsensical comparison at best. On one hand you're complaining about the market being saturated with high-quality priests, while also complaining about items having a <1% base shatter chance, something hugely negated by the reduction in overall failure chances by having good priests. -1 it's fine. I was a priest for years and I've used other peoples' priests and I can't recall breaking anything that wasn't a low-quality skilling tool.
  15. Sotg icon

I had no clue about this zombie milk thing beforehand, but couldn't players just fill a bunch of tiny, light containers with zombie milk and spam drink on them?
  16. I'd just remove them and let people cry for a week then sweep it under the rug and move on. You're bending over backwards for people who knowingly used a bugged item and expected it to stay in the game based on a supposed forum post that nobody can seem to find.
  17. I never knew you could fit other peoples' horses in fountain backpacks
  18. they should ban everyone who used fountain backpacks for bug abuse
  19. I hope you don't need someone to hold your hand and tell you that fountains aren't supposed to fit in tiny boxes and that they were stopped from being created for a reason. Nahjo priests weren't "obviously bugged". It wasn't ever even mentioned that they weren't supposed to have woodcutting and mining until they were removed. Nothing like these fountains which have been broken for ages. It sucks to be on the receiving end of this I'm sure, but the bug got fixed.
  20. No, because I don't use obviously bugged items and if I did, I wouldn't expect them to never be fixed People used bugged items. They took a risk. My only issue is that this doesn't apply to every bugged item (and skill). Good on Rolf and the team (wow that felt weird to say) for actually removing them regardless of people who whine about it.
  21. get a load of this guy arguing that path of hate has no good abilities other than 4 and 7, in a thread about path of insanity..........
  22. -1... I don't really see the point to screw over legit merchants when everyone on a home server who uses them for storage will just make a few storage alts instead. It won't fix the problem.. All that will happen if they're made tauntable is that it will create a scramble for the trash tier players to drain every legitimate merchant before their owners move them.
  23. Shrug. People keep spouting dumbness about timers and what not. Nerf Gone and you've rendered Insanity an entirely useless path and everyone will switch to Hate or Power overnight and it will have made absolutely no difference to the outcome of 99.9% of PvP events because the ability of a few people to take less damage hasn't ever - in my experience - affected the results of a fight. If you ever get below half health and you have Gone, you're going to die anyways.
