    It has nothing to do with alliance. Really it's more of a matter of who lives there. I hope that answers your question. It wasn't a bunch of friends getting all of the loot for themselves or anything like that.

    The main problem I see with it are character sales. Many, if not most people, when they sell their toons they keep their forum account. This allows them to keep in touch with people they know. If accounts are attached to the forums, then this would not be an option. In this game, character sales are rather significant and something that could or should be changed merely to have accounts attached to emails. Then there are alts. Do we need a forum account for each priest we run? That would screw up the current 5 emails per account royally. How do we implement that? So it's not as simple as you may think. In fact, between alts and character sales alone, it would be a nightmare to implement this at this point. You may have 1 name and 1 forum account. Great. That's not going to be the case with many others.

  6. This have been through the ringer again and again and again and again..... Some people are big time for it. Some people are big time against it. Personally, I'm against it. Chars have a reputation based on name. Even if there is a hover over option or something to see that it's different, it's still seems like too much work to hover over each name that appears in local. Also, to me, a character gains a reputation over time and shouldn't be removed because of a name change at all. So -1 here.
  7. I have also noticed issues with the knarr since the new boat skins. Knarrs are a lot harder to load objects. Often times the items have to be practically in the knarr I've found.
  8. The problem I see is this is Wurm. The is not Farming Simulator. While farming is part of the game, it is a gathering skill much like mining or woodcutting. Making such a skill too complicated could actually detract from the game and make it more frustrating for some people. I'm all for adding small features to farming, and perhaps the fertilizer idea could work, but it's a risk at the same time.
  9. I've never been for this whole "new god thing". I voted yes however for new spells. Fos and mags should not become less desirable as a result of a new god (*cough* Nahjo*)
  10. Aren't alliances good enough? I don't see how much more function a PMK would provide than the alliances we already have. We don't have PvP to worry about so it seems kind of pointless to me. It also would likely provide new mechanics that a lot of people on Freedom would not enjoy. Some people just want a relaxing atmosphere on their deed when they log in. No towers or sovereignty to worry about or even think about. The only upside to it would be kingdom banners etc. If this were to be done, a new server would likely need to be added in my opinion, and we really don't need a new server at this point. lol
  11. Phew. I was getting nervous about that. I hope they change some of the Nahjo stuff anyway. It's just way too overpowered for Freedom in my opinion.
  12. Actually, it's usually different people speaking up at different times. Perhaps a couple have changed their opinions, but there's nothing wrong with changing an opinion.
  13. If someone's coming at me with a sharp pointy thing and stabs me, it tends to do damage. Last I checked, sickles were rather sharp. It would need to be sharp to cut some of those sprouts effectively (on trees that only give you 1 sprout at a time.... wogic there). I don't really see how a nerf like this is needed. And, as other people have mentioned, it gives variety.

    All I'm saying is that the first thing a lot of newbies are going to want to try to do is ride a horse. Not a cow. Not a bull (and they can't ride a bull even). While it can be fun to look silly on a cow, what does that do to help newbs survive? My initial post was meant to be a joke to do with what a newbie will want to do first with that rope. Did it go over your head? Personally, I don't really care.

  19. No one's out to get you dude. You are talking to players, just like you. They are here to play the game, just like you. Bullying is a common misconception. The only bullying that takes place is the bullying YOU allow to happen. You control it if you get bullied or not as you, and only you, control your feelings. If you don't let people affect you, you can't be bullied.
  20. Every conflict is preventable. You could have solved the situation diplomatically, but from what you're describing, "diplomatically" is not a word in your vocabulary. It's unfortunate but it's your loss in the end. You could have a much happier time in Wurm if you weren't so negative and accusing everyone of everything. All this thread has proven, at least to me, is that you have a lot to learn about how to talk to people. Let me ask you this: Why should people treat you better in this game than you have been treating them? If you are going to accuse others of macroing, why should those people treat you with respect? If you are going to be negative to others in general, why should those people think positively about you?
  21. While I like the idea of a large village in theory, the headaches that could potentially arise through drama, permissions, and other aspects would also be enhanced 10 fold. Large villages have to be done right or else they fall faster than how they start up. With smaller deeds in a large alliance, people tend to feel more free. They're on their own deed. They are in charge of their deed and can leave the alliance if they want and keep their stuff they built. If you leave a village, you practically have to start over. Also, I fully vouch for Aeris' post and Silent Hill. There's a reason why they've lasted so many years: they are awesome people and, to me, a large village done correctly
  22. Seeing as this thread has been derailing with this anyway, here's the thing... From a buyer's perspective, why would I want to pay 5s extra for a ship? I could buy a rare with that money. While you may not care about what other people think about your price, no one's going to care about what you think the price should be. Ultimately, if you want to sell your ship you can either 1) lower your price or 2) pray that someone thinks you're some extra special lovely person and thinks the price should revolve around you. You can say whatever excuse you like whether it's botters or whatever. It won't magically make the price 14s again. The market is saturated with knarrs. That is the reason why the price is at an all time low. Botters alone can't do that. I'm not trying to troll you or anything. All I'm saying is I think your expectations on the market are too high. It is what is it and you nor I can change it. Is it unfortunate? Yes. Is it fixable? Probably not at the moment. At the end of the day, the price of an item is what the PURCHASER is willing l pay for it. It's basic economics. No purchaser at your price? No sale. EDIT: And before you ask. Yes, I've made at least 5 knarrs.
  23. There are 2 keybinds that can be used to fix this already implemented in the game: Open and Take. Then you don't even need the drop down menu.
