  1. There is the chance later on that the new servers will eventually connect with the old ones. It might not happen at all, but there is a chance (and honestly, if the skills are high enough on the new servers I don't see why they wouldn't at that point anyway). Allowing for the same names to be on the new servers would potentially create a lot of complications, not just with the above point I made, but also with other things. This isn't the same situation as Freedom/Epic.
  2. Text gets grainy on really high settings Edit: Seems to fix itself on a refresh sometimes. Seems to want to go into this state and out of it on embarking/disembarking, doing actions, etc.
  3. I only suggested one name for PvE and that was Revival. I don't think it's as good as some of the other names out there, but it was a suggestion nevertheless.
  4. I have a hard time seeing how this would make the game better to be honest. If people want to get out of their deed, there's already the transport of bulk goods, hunting, visiting a friend's deed, straight-up exploration, archaeology, sprout gathering, etc. I don't really see how forcing the people that don't like travelling to travel (and there are people like that) would make this worth while. We're just not in a dire situation for this to happen.
  5. If this was with done with better names from the start, I would agree with what you are saying; however, you might want to read the other thread that started this thread in the first place. I don't think I read even one post where someone liked the name Rumble. Not one. lol (and if there is, it got lost in the fray) While allowing us to choose between a few names might be nicer, this is still better than nothing.
  6. I mentioned on the other thread how whatever there decision with the name change would affect my respect for them. I'm really glad they aren't just rolling with these names and actually listening. You guys earn my respect for that.
  7. If this happens, I'm forever calling it the armpit. lol
  8. Yeah, honestly with the backlash this thread has, if they don't change at least Rumble, my respect for the team is going to lower a lot. This is a test of the team's ability to listen to their playerbase. If they can't listen to a simple thing like this and be willing to change it, what exactly can we expect in the future?
  9. I think most people's name suggestions that I've read are better than Rumble. lol
  10. Heartland's okay. Rumble sounds like a cheesy Japanese game show name. lol
  11. Steam server map please

I don't know if I fully agree with this to be honest. Realistically you can't just cart up a mountain and some WU servers where you can cart up the mountains just bug me. I'm more for realism in that regard I guess. I want the landscape to have character above all else and I think mountains are a big part of that. Perhaps still a few less mountains than Xanadu could be good, but still I'd be disappointed if we didn't have some cool looking mountains. That being said, I am for places with more friendly shores.
  12. I have a hard time seeing this work if mainly due to the fact that it could potentially wreck havoc on the permissions systems. If the whole idea would be to "include" the pvpers, why not just have a GL chat that includes both the pvp and pve servers? Wouldn't that be much easier?
  13. That doesn't account for everyone though. In fact, I'd argue that most people I met at the time weren't even thinking this. I'm sure a few were, but clearly not everyone. The other thing to consider too is there are a lot of toons now at the point where people are going "what now?" when it comes to training. You mention you have a skill somewhere and 1089034917 other people have the exact same skill. That is also a new factor to consider this time. There's no more "diversity" on the old servers.
  14. QL level doesn't account for 100QL items. There doesn't appear there to be a way to show "100", just "00".
  15. Here are my initial suggestions after spending a day with the new UI: 1) I would love to be able to change the font of the text. Unfortunately, the current text gives me headaches if I read too much. Being able to change the font to the old fonts at the very least would be nice. That being said, speaking from someone who does UI occasionally, here are my other suggestions: 2) While I understand wanting a "fresh look", I feel the "tabs" on top of different sections are too big. The immediate focus of the eyes goes to the title of the tab and keeps "asking for" the focus to remain on the tab titles and not the actual important information the user should be reading. I recommend either lowering the font size of the titles and/or making the colour of the titles less pronounced. If I'm looking at the skills section, I don't want my eyes to keep wanting to bounce towards the title. I want to read my skills. There's going to be a lot of eye strain with it's current setup. 3) On the same subject of titles. The title of my name in the top corner looks out of place from the rest of the GUI. It should at least be the same as the other titles in my opinion in order to provide consistency. As it stands it sticks out like a sore thumb. 4) In places like the friendslist, I recommend having a divider between the actions (ie. "Blahblah leaves the world") and the actual names and online status. It seems off at the moment. (albeit it sort of gets fixed when the scroll bar comes into view, so perhaps have something where the scroll bar shows up before the scroll bar actually shows up) I'll probably have more suggestions over time. The UI's not bad, but it's cluttered and I think that's the biggest problem with it. It's not as user friendly as the old UI due to the fact that you have the wrong items in the UI highlighted, which I think will confuse the user as their eyes dart around all over the place (while the user won't know what's wrong, they'll just know something is wrong). I'll give my eyes more time to adjust as I'm sure I have bias due to the old UI, but that's my opinion so far.
  16. I think our best current representation of that was when Pristine/Release opened up. I remember some people doing as you said, but I also remember some people managed both deeds they had relatively well. I think if you already have an established enough deed, it's pretty easy to maintain things. Also, keep in mind a lot of people have more than 1 deed anyway. That concept's nothing new to Wurm. lol There will also be people who spend more time on the new server and stay because it's something fresh. That's pretty much what I did back then but I also was burning myself out on the old servers at the time too. I have a reasonably established deed on Celebration this time around so that shouldn't be the issue for me, but I'll probably still really focus on my character on the steam server.
  17. Personal opinion here, and I know most, if not all of this has already been said, but the more people the better I figure.... 1) I think ALL information needs to be conveyed on the forums. The streams are great for showing upcoming features, and I still encourage that, but you are probably only showing them to less than 10% of your audience. Most people are not going to be watching your streams or watching them afterwards because it's not as easy as reading a forum post whenever they want. 2) I think important things like priest changes need to be the highlight of the forum post and not as an "oh, by the way..." part of the post, which is what was presented here. It's literally the single most important thing of the update. 3) I think more time also needs to be given between a major announcement like priest changes and the actual implementation. Perhaps something like 2 months instead of 2 weeks. 4) I really want to see this game succeed and I love the priest changes. I'm all for it. But keep in mind public relations are important. They will likely make or break your game. This is not a post directed at anyone. This is my opinion to you guys in hopes that you at least listen and consider all of this in the future.
  18. I (Chiqa) will also be available for imping: WS, BS, FC, SS, Mason, currently working on Cloth as well.
  19. New deed: Hillpeace Location: F22/G22 (at the red marker 1544, 506) Thanks for keeping the map up to date!
  20. EDIT: Misread the post. Thought you were going after Sugar and Jo, but I'm assuming now you aren't? Good luck with your sale in any case.
  21. If this is cleared up, then wouldn't it be better for the op to actually state that it's been cleared up rather than the person actually.... you know.... causing the drama? Kind of hard to believe you otherwise Vortexxx
  22. If some random silly neighborhood dispute from Pristine finds it's way onto Chaos or Epic, I'm sure people from Chaos or Epic would make fun of those people at first. However, if those same disputes kept going back to Chaos and Epic when they shouldn't, I'm pretty sure the pvpers would be just as annoyed as some of the pvers have expressed.. Would you want a whole bunch of drama that you don't cared about spilling into your kingdom that has nothing to do with your kingdom? That's what's happening on the pve servers. The thing is, geographically speaking the pvp servers are separate from pve servers; therefore, it is artificially a pvp vs pve issue. Geography defines it, not the actual definitions of pvp and pve. It doesn't matter if it's to do with in game or on the forums, it's still a bunch of drama that's in a place where it shouldn't be.
  23. I will try to be there on Bibi (fo priest)
  24. If you're talking money in the bank only, then you're looking at a statistic that's not going to mean much. Some people hold a lot of money in their bank while others spend all of their money on assets. Money also fluctuates. I think for most people, sometimes they'll have a lot of money, other times they'll have very little depending on recent events in their Wurm life. Therefore, it's going to be impossible to accurately determine money distribution.
