  1. Same with using pendulums to find champs, traitors, or battle camps. Using keybinds to switch views is very helpful. Right before I fight mobs, I switch to 1st person, position myself within proper distance, then switch back to 3rd. Keybinds make it fast.
  2. Did you have any focus before attacking the troll? If not, then there should not be any bug. Anytime you focus something new, and you have no active focus level, then it starts the focus timer over. With the listed mobs, except for the spider, I can see how you would kill them before even being able to focus. Spider also, most likely, with you being a veteran player and high FS, etc.
  3. Scenario ended with no tweets of tome, lump, or fragment rewards, but instead this: Valrei @Valreimoon ยท 3h Libila will rule both heaven and earth and may promote an ally! Isn't this part of the old player god reward system?
  4. Can add in a check to not reduce skill if the target tree is the mission tree.
  5. Enki's post assured the community of impending bans. Will Enki's "The Gallows" thread be updated with the results? https://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/forum/356-the-gallows/
  6. 86.35ql sent, sorry other sold.
  7. Thanks Shenji and team! You all did a great job hosting!
  8. not a bug

    yes, that was it, ty
  9. Cape was earned on Freedom and then crossed and relogged on Epic and it's not in inventory. Edit: Turns out I did not relog when I took the screenshot. Once relogged, the cape was not visible, so deleted the screenshot.
  10. I hit an invisible wall and could not sail any further towards the mission item.
  11. Shouldn't it just be Fo, Mag, and Lib? Does anyone receive credit for completing Vynora missions?
  12. If being attacked by 2 or more mobs and have some focus while the 1st mob dies, a player can still focus on the 2nd mob while the eye initially shows shut.
  13. I plan to attend Release's rift in a couple of days. Coordinate with me in private message and I'll summon your new avatar to the rift. I'm very interested in your results.
  14. I've completed 100 rifts on one avatar and 95 on two others, and always in top 3, whenever I check anyways. It's simple, kill mobs for more points. Do it like this: 1. Invest in AoSP armour, a frost prot ring, fire prot ring, glacial necklace and Frostbrand weapon and LT weapon. Use Frostbrand whenever above 75%. Use LT when below 75%. 2. Fight in aggressive mode for maximum damage output and stay focused especially on the mages and ogres. 3. Do not rush into a group thinking it's like WoW and you'll receive the points because the mobs aggro'd you first. It doesn't work like that if kiting a train of mobs and have to leave the rift area to lose them. Instead, hang back and let them spread out a bit. Don't take on more than you can handle. If you have to run out for emergency healing, you'll lose potential points. 4. Join a group of players and burn down the same creature as quickly as possible. If there is a big group with many creatures and it's obvious that people are targeting different ones, then yes, target those around you for a second or two in melee range, but focus down the one with the lowest health and always switch to the next one with the lowest health. 5. Order of priority (weakest to strongest mob) is beasts, (summoners and casters), jackals, mages, then ogres. If the group has targeted and seriously wounded a stronger target with other weaker targets present, switch to the stronger target and help finish it off, then seek out the next lowest health mob, or if none then the weakest mob. 6. The majority of the time, the group will become overwhelmed at times, especially if fighting close to the beam while spawning. If being targeted, health is dropping, and the situation seems dire, don't hesitate to retreat to the outer edge. Find another person or small group that has also retreated and start working on outer mobs in priority order. Work you way back towards other groups. The goal is to kill mobs without being targeted so you can spend time killing rather than retreating and bandaging. The best place to do this is in the outer edges inside the rift area where there are fewer mobs. I know that sounds counter-intuitive, but when you are not actively killing, you are effectively losing potential points. 7. Occasionally, a low health summoner or caster will have teleported away and may be standing by itself. If deemed safe from pulling stronger mobs, rush in and finish it off, then ride away. These are usually fast easy kills, but can be tricky to pull off sometimes if other mobs are around. Look for those opportunities. 8. Burn hearts. You gain 1 point each and they are the easiest way to gain points. I butcher corpses and collect hearts for the next upcoming rift. That way I don't have to waste time butchering during the rift and can immediately start burning.
  15. Not sure if CPU is your issue, but here's how I reduce mine. When running a group of clients, I use low settings for all, but if traveling, then will choose the driver to use default so I can see further than 20 tiles away. Also, if not needing to see the surrounding environment, I disable world render which saves considerable CPU resources. The following keybinds it to Control + the F1/F2 keys, but you can choose whatever you want: bind ctrl+f1 "setoption no_world_render true" bind ctrl+f2 "setoption no_world_render false" Caveat: Not a big deal, but weird things happen when you enable world render after crossing a server border. Chances are high that your avatar will be in an "alternate reality" world with no mobs or structures, but can freely run around the world and only see grass, trees and pavement (but from other avatar's perspective you're still in the boat), or the client may crash. Just relog. The CPU savings are worth it.
  16. Where did I say I was against any goals? Please stop saying falsehoods and spreading propaganda.
  17. It's not about that at all. It's about providing viable solutions to real world problems and proving that: 100 rifts = great end-game goal
  18. I'm glad to provide some suggestions that work for me and for other people that I've seen do the same. Hopefully this will make your Rift goal completion journey easier/faster. 1. Look on Niarja for a day/time that you can attend. https://www.niarja.com/universes/online/rifts 2. If the start time (or up to 1 hour after it starts) is not possible to attend, then sail well before it starts when you do have some time and build a simple 1x2 locked gated fenced area. You can use this fenced area to temporary park in later during the rift if something comes up in RL and have to afk. 3. Bring a tent in case you die, so don't waste time trying to run back to the Rift. You can hitch your horse to it while waiting for the Rift to start. 4. Log in when you can and kill mobs/burn hearts and strive for at least 25 points, which is very easy and fast if either just target what others are fighting or burning hearts, both for 1 point each. If all you did was log in and burn hearts in wave 4 solo and close the Rift, you will receive journal credit. Wave 4 = takes 25 hearts to close 5. After the Rift is finished, ride back to the fenced area and log out, if no time. Can always log in and travel back to deed some other time. I am literally following those steps for tonight's rift on Cele. I have my avatars parked at the Rift in a fenced area ready to go, and will arrive home after it starts, but should have enough time to gain 25 points.
  19. It is very common for people to make small protected fenced areas right outside the rift area. When I have to step away, that's where I stay. I've seen a lot of other people do the same. So when mom yells down the basement, park in a fenced area.
  20. You thinking it's a bad goal is subjective. I think it's a great goal, also subjective. It's right in-line with the other lengthy goals: imp 100K times, perform 500K actions, get a skill to 99, etc, all skills that should take time to complete. People can find time for Rifts if they really want to. They cycle in time and day and only last around 1.5 hrs in SFI. https://www.niarja.com/universes/online/rifts Rifts on Epic home servers stay open for a good while. From experience, Serenity's is around 2-3 days. Niarja says the others are >2 days. There are opportunities for everyone in SFI. Edit: You can literally show up in the last 20 minutes or so in wave 4 and earn enough points (25?) to complete the journal goal.
