  1. Not sure if this has happened to our wurmian coffee roasters so far but something odd happened last night. I was roasting around 300-400 hundred coffee beans. As they became roasted, I noticed a couple went rare in the roasting process (from non rare green coffee beans). I didn't see any rare moments of inspiration. I picked em up, put in some more beans to roast and 2 more went rare in the process for a final output of 4 rare coffee beans. The entire process of dragging and dropping lasted around 10-15 minutes (I regularly examined the caffeine bonus to make sure I got the skillgain boost while roasting) Sad part is that once grounded with a mortar & pestle they lost their rarity. Just curious about how the rarity window works for this stuff.
  2. I would also like to express the prompt reply to my tickets. Specially this year where I ended up with the boat crossing bug more than once and every time i was rescued from drowning to death by pro gms. Also received comical replies during the process which made the experience pleasant in the end.
  3. Some things cannot be reversed. People that have invested 2+ years in skilling, building, forging relationships, developing their own plot of lands, gathering materials & knowledge won't desire to restart from scratch, at least 99% of the players. I include myself in this category. One of the issues with Steam, as I see it anyway, is that the idea was to start fresh but at the same time, there was no significant effort put into place to make new players understand they can ALSO have a fresh start on SFI or Epic. Fact of the matter is prices on SFI are still lower than NFI, which to some might be an attractive idea. NFI is NFI. Isolated from SFI. It's not a healthy relationship. As history has shown us, isolating one cluster from another will inevitably lead to one dying and eventually be migrated to the other. See how the vast majority of Epic players migrated to SFI when the transfer was allowed. But resetting servers is not the answer. I think the answer lies in keeping the servers connected but making them truly unique with their own identity. I've proposed this in the past but the idea of giving certain features to every server can help people feel like they're different and not just randomized maps with different names. Example : 1. Deliverance could have faster crop yield, higher troll density, better rewards from arch and faster skillgain with archery. 2. Release could have faster pottery skillgains, higher spider density, better fishing gains, lower timers when it comes to imping carpentry items. 3. Indy could have faster mining timers, higher aquatic mob density, faster horse / running speeds, etc. Giving pros and cons to each server can help making them feel more alive. It would also encourage people to travel more to skill certain things, which could lead to players forging new relationships and new communities. If we could perhaps add some more stuff in the mix, such as collective events for each server, it would breathe in even more life for them. For example the troll invasion of Pristine : Kill 10 000 trolls in a week. Trolls spawn en masse around pristine and players there can help slay them in droves. Add more aggresiveness to trolls, maybe even give them crude bows to fire at players and you can have a collective event where players have to support each other to stop the invasion. These are just random thoughts but the aim is to make each server more unique, more alive. Resetting things won't fix any of Wurm's current problems. In time they will crop up again. It's happened every time a new server has been released.
  4. Hope we get the ability to dispel whatever enchant we want from an item or reducing absurd decay on fishing nets. Joking.....or am I ? So far all xmas gift have been wonderful, whatever it is , I'm sure it will be spectacular.
  5. News to me that's a mechanic but wow, never expected that to be coded in.
  6. Damn that old xmas song...we need that again in game That said, happy holidays to all and may you have a less shittier year than this one!
  7. Please have a coffee and a cookie from me good sir. Right now I'm trying to do some deed terraforming and it's a pain because I really don't know how the place will look (considering there is rocky area nearby grasslands) and the snow is kinda making everything uniform. Yeah I know I can portal over to Epic and back to "force" the graphics to shift so I see grass over snow. It just seems a workaround that can easily be solved by a toggle button.
  8. As much as I love having the ability to diversify items and materials, I would honestly wish Epic would get some mention in these updates. Epic forums are as dead as the servers themselves (well Serenity is doing semi - ok from what I have heard, but 1 server in 4 doing ok isn't the best indicator for an entire cluster). Just some idea what to expect from Epic in 2022. Should I bother paying for upkeep there?
  9. +1 i have like 100 different items in a bsb and sometimes its a drag to find something. Not to mention a FSB filled with pretty much every food item possible in game
  10. Probably trying to avoid another Animal Husbandry scenario where the update was released in a broken state and it took months to fix. The frustration then was pretty serious and I know a few people who perma quit due to it.
  11. Np, would have stayed longer to escort but was falling asleep
  12. Happened to me as well a few times this week. The timer eventually appears after about 15 minutes or so. Still an annoying bug.
  13. Considering some Wurmians have been playing this game for over a decade and a few have passed away, I really don't understand why you'd give it a hard no. I personally know a couple of players that left us too early and would like to see something dedicated to them.
  14. No idea those were non tradeable . +1
  15. If I remember right, @Niravis actually working on a unique museum that will have a wing / building dedicated to those that have passed away. In some cases, some items of the player will be displayed on the museum (such as a Longsword, armor, helmet, etc.) Might wanna get in touch with Nirav if you want to coordinate.
  16. Wurm suffers from Wogic, which is pretty prevalent in many of its mechanics. Woodworkers in RL don't suffer from Wogic. Read for example what OR posted about shield bashing. There is absolutely nothing intuitive about that system. Could probably come up with 20 more examples of what newbies encounter and are strange mechanics they will most likely not figure out if someone doesn't explain it.
  17. Welcome back oh she of many self-explanatory-apologetic posts!
  18. We already get a massive fatigue debuff from using coffee, why add another debuff? It started out as a very promising system but not it just seems to become something contradictory to the folks it was made for.
  19. I feel the same. I really don't understand the reasonings for that debuff... I feel this really should be well thought out how does it help those with limited playtime. By the way limited playtime can mean that you can always take a couple of days of work to just chill and rest. Play some chess, Wurm, watch movies. In this case maybe a guy wants to play for those 2 days but that debuff will kick him in the shin. How does the debuff help him if he wants to burn 10 hours of accrued SB? The debuff on the second day won't actually help him. Also drinking caffeine still has the major issue of being tied to the water meter. Come on...[13:30:24] You are so bloated you cannot bring yourself to drink any thing else. How does this benefit those with little playtime? People really don't have hours to afk wasting electricity so their meter goes to zero.
  20. Add the same please to every restriction. Ride cart that requires mind logic, knarr that requires a certain ML as well, etc.
  21. As someone who had to travel to and fro rifts on Xan I can whole heartedly agree it's a pain in the butt to waste so much travel time to a destination you already know. But to find a random traitor or avatar.....it's a thing of elder gods - Cthulhu nightmares for me. Someone living in the north won't be spending 2 hours of his life riding south, then 2 hours riding back just to donate an item or gamble on finding a traitor. +1 to remove them. It's unreasonable given Xanadu's cosmic horror size
  22. Can I hire you as my body guard? :))
  23. And with the coffee update, missions are given value again for sleep bonus.
