  1. Hey MD, any reason there is a lot of garbage in that window,

Ill post a screen shot when i get home?

it is a feature that we hardly use on WO servers.  You probably use it more on WU servers now.  I looked in the WU code, and it was headers or something I think it said so probably why the fonts are so large.  I'm sure someone could clean it up, there was just never a priority on it for us since we do not go modifying terrain or setting up zones other than when a new server opens sometimes, which is not that often.

  2. The only way I know how to do anything with focus zones in by right clicking on an item with the ebony wand and clicking 'create focus zone'. How do I access the focus zone menu?

the window that comes up when you 'create focus zone' that is what I mean by the menu.  in that window there are options (some not related to focus zones even)

  3. I always wanted a food overhaul that brought buffs and negatives myself.  so you might get a temporary buff from something but also a negative factor for it's use.  Ql of ingredients and skill would impact ql of final food, which would impact the buff/time.  Possibly some rare ingredients to lessen the negative sides.

I dug out my old spreadsheet I was using before for it, looks like it had a lot of new cooking utensils, intermediate recipes and final recipes.

    An example of intermediate:

    Pie Shell

    Apple Pie Filling

    Blueberry Pie Filling

    Cherry Pie Filling

    Lemon Pie Filling

    Pumpkin Pie Filling

    Strawberry Pie Filling

and Apple Pie Filling would use:

    • Baking
    • Mixing Bowl

    • Wooden Serving Spoon

    • Pie Shell

    • Apple

    • Butter

    • Flour

    • Sugar

The plan was in some cases to allow 'any herbs' to be used to make the food item in some cases as well, not always specific things.  Really to give players a reason to use each food and even temporary skillboost or exp gain in some things possibly.

  4. With the adjusted permission system, I do not know how you can transfer mayor with a GM.  But what you may be able to do is just log in a character with the same name as the mayor.  If there is already a character there, just rename it to something else so you can login and create the new character with the same mayor name.  Note that you have to provide a new password when you rename someone, and in steam it uses the steamid.  Not really important if you never want to log in the old one you rename, but if you do then you have to use the right steamid.

Another way would be to just disband the deed and remake it.  Or change the mayor password to your own steamid and login on that.

  5. so you mean you are actually removing them from the server itself and changing them back after?  So that would remove them for everyone on the server.  Now that you mention it, the trees are actually a tile type, not an object on the tile.  Probably makes it more difficult to just 'turn off' etc.

  6. There is no way to remove trees.  It was a requested feature for GM's a long time ago but does not exist.  I am guessing that would be more of a client mod vs a server mod as well.  And once in the client, can probably be exploited for use in the online version of the game.  A mod from other players would need to be developed most likely.

  7. from:

    http://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/topic/133534-gm-command-question/

Currently on Steam beta branch. Latest change added this commands:

#changemodel fullmodelname - self-explanatory, GM tier 2+, you must use FULL model name or you will become "?" bag instead
#changemodel fullmodelname playername time - GM tier 4+, sets any model for any player. Time up to 3600 (one hour), can be used only on PvE servers.

  8. The God missions have some functions they do that are simply not possible to recreate with the mission ruler sometimes.  So I have no explanations to give for that, someone would need to open up the code and see how it is doing those from in there, and either tweak it or mod it that way, or make some other kind of tool to get missions made and added to the database.

  9. Is it possible for us to obtain a details description of all the "Server Features" that are under the Creature->Features settings? Most of them are common sense, but a few for example the ownership papers. Are those the deed writs that phyiscally sit in the inventory? Or was that completely removed and coded into the structure menus?

These would be put in there by DEVS and few wurm online gm's even saw them before and for those who could they were not played around with.  Most are obvious.  But we never really even look in there to see what is new or not, as I said they are dev controlled and even though Arch gm's can adjust them, they are not permitted to in Wurm Online live servers.

CA help groups lets you merge ca help channels across servers (use from login server only)

allow ca to see mgmt is obvious.  ca didn't see that channel at one time.

surface water as far as I know does not work.

name change i have no idea if works or seen it used ever.

ownership papers might be related to the old papers before the permission changes?  I can't remember if it was there before or not, as I said this is not a menu we even really look at as GM's.

  10. there should be a way to have you complete it one time but others can still complete the mission.  I remember doing a test mission long ago like that where it starts when you step on a tile.

The progression should be per each player in the mission, not a global one.  so if just one time per person from 0 to 100% should be fine.  I have not set them up enough to say off the top of my head though why it does not seem to be working for you on other players though.
