  1. From Deathangel's post: The reputation penalty should last a decent amount of time as their is a sparser active population at any given time on WURM now than five years ago and a player could simply be destructive and hide out for the duration of his penealty, Some would do this no matter what so make them all trackable during their penalty essentially loosing any protection from PVE completely during this time. From rosedragon's post I Love the idea of renting houses, that has got to be the single best idea I have heard to date, when I was griping about substantial avenues for a strong active economy on WURM (interactive that is) that is one of the types of things I would have envisioned, Awesome idea.
  2. I don't know about a droid app, kinda minimizes the potenetial in my opinion. What the game needs is creative people to get together and build a community. There are some limitations at this point such as quest rewards, intelligent NPC's in the branch nodes section (only identifies what is going on with that character, the list here should take into account all created nodes across the board) and although there is an extensive cache of icons there should be an input for individual islands to upload unique icons to give more depth and individuality but it is all still very new. Nyhm will keep making it better but we need community support and interest. The game won funding from Kickstarter and is currently running a vote on Steam Greenlight so hopefully folks will check it out, this one breaks the boring sameness of gaming and deserves a chance to grow and get better.
  3. Found this new offering by a one man outfit called Island Forge. The player creates island gameworlds complete with quests and stories written by the player/creator and then can be published into the game world where others can visit and play. Just came out and loks like a solid effort. http://islandforge.com/gameplay/
  4. I like Axeblades suggestion of two legs but not sure if I can get it set by Festival Time, will have to look into it. Can you sail thru the Sloppy Hollows Area Axe? I would have a baited checkpoint south near the mouth of he bay somewhere to stop the cheating. I look forward to peoples feedback on all things Pragmatist but the KaiH remark is not feedback, at best its a very polite smirk. I will look at the idea some more and determine if it is even feasible to undertake the event, it may be best to shelve the idea pending better planning, player input and advertising.

  6. Is it possible to stock a merchant with meals?
  7. Thanks Perryn, this worked. The post is a little too detailed though for those that may read this in future. All I had to do was open Java and delete the certs, client and temp files. Did not have to uninstall Java. Worked like a charm. I apologize for the expressions of frustration earlier in this post.
  8. Is there something wrong that I'm not seeing? Can't even get started logging in now. Where it is supposed to download the .jar file it just sits at 0% . Cart and horses most likely stolen by now and crops on two deeds next to dead. There is nothing wrong with my Java so don't know what to do about this. Would like some help figuring out what the heck to do to gewt this deal to work right. Started playing three years ago and seriously don't remember issues like this. Help.
  9. I dont mind some lagging from time to time but the problem has gotten so bad that I cant even get relogged after the DC/ Server Crash. Caught out of village with horses and large cart this time and I am sick of it. If it cant be fixed then give us players some sort of compensation for the major headaches. I tried to copy the text for the client crash several times but couldnt get it, too frustrated to keep fooling with it.

  13. New deed on EXO Spin's Fishcamp x - 11 y - 17 Bottom right corner
  14. I like Unity and Have started a map grid on it for one of my game ideas. I am going to try and spend more time with it the next couple of months and see if I can get more acquainted with its inner workings. I generate the maps in Terragen and import them to Unity to save time. I have most of the base textures done on it (still need to get a good Basalt look for the mountains), then I need to learn how to place the objects of the scenery. Once I get a couple of complete map grids I can start to figure out how to join them and incorporate actions, responses and consequesnces into them. If I can get all that nailed down in the next two months (as I have some off time to work with) then I think I will be able to make decent progress with limited time once I start back to work. I will still need programming help in various forms though I'm sure for more complex issues in the future. We'll see how it goes.
