  1. I foresee many practical applications for bacon in game....
  2. http://books.google.com.au/books?id=mI0vKhZXJqwC&pg=PA59&lpg=PA59&dq=wurm+mythical+creature&source=bl&ots=QkO1MMB3xG&sig=4T3W_FzVIKMviTb2SUUjCTdL2MA&hl=en&sa=X&ei=ThV9UvK2FefRiAeAn4HgBw&ved=0CFAQ6AEwBw#v=onepage&q=wurm%20mythical%20creature&f=false
  3. If Rolf really isn't spawning these creatures in fear of upsetting a player driven market external to the game then that is a very sad example of the tail wagging the dog.
  4. Ability to moor a rope on two tiles of land. Barge can then be pulled or pushed one tile either direction with each action in a straight line between the two mooring points. Would be perfect for bridge constructions across significant water barriers. The barge would obviously need to be constructed and remain in situ.
  5. Hmmmm was going to say no then realised this sight.... .... could only be improved by seeing bare arse cheeks in a cheeky g-string disappear over the hill.
  6. Double post.
  7. Derailed thread needs more cats Bodie & Doyle.
  8. We dealt with it thankyou very much for the condecension. Doesn't change the fact they are badly implemented and overpowered.
  9. Have you actually encountered them? I was with a friend just outside deed a week or so ago and we had 7 Drakespirits spawn in a 20 tile scatter all around us. My friend died almost immediately and I only escaped because they got the aggro. Skill has nothing to do with it, its pure luck whether you get ganked by Valrei spawns.
  10. Of course the most obvious solution to the OP's issue is to use a spyglass, but that is dependant on availability and which server you are on. I used to love going exploring and checking out buildings and creatures on the other side of a bay for example with my spyglass. There was a thread not so long ago for making spyglasses a player crafted item... but iirc it was not met with much enthusiasm
  11. A higher resolution and that would have made a lovely wallpaper for my pc
  12. Weirdly enough reading this made me think that nerfing ganking may counter-intuitively reduce the number of people who PvP because a large portion of people will only fight when they outnumber their opponent. So if they can't gank then the occasions they will voluntarily PvP will reduce even further. Being on the winning side of a 10v1 gank is what converts a lot of carebears to being gankbears instead
  13. You sit at home in front of your pc chopping and sawing and hammering building a structure in Wurm whilst outside your window real builders are chopping and sawing and hammering real wood building a real extension on your house
  14. Any game gets stale if you play it long enough and obsessively enough. EVE has its faults, Wurm has its faults; they are different games. I don't think the OP's suggestion would work either, server numbers are too low to expect a large % of the server population to sit around on their thumbs waiting for a X hours cooldown timer on a 5x5 deed.
  15. In the interests of brevity I don't need to quote huge chunks of your posts. The originals are there if people want to confirm the context and I have not intentionally taken them out of context. I just feel your context shifts to suit the point of any particular post. Wait a second we were talking about Dev preferential treatment for PvP... Playing community attitudes to carebears is another discussion entirely. Yep that would be the problem. Crafting and terraforming occur on the PvP servers as much as on PvE servers. How on earth would it be logical to add content and then withhold it from the PvP servers just to make you feel like a special snowflake? Sorry if that sounds a bit patronising but your viewpoint on that is pretty spiteful.
