  1. I've seen this mouse lagging thing when loading both WO and WU on 2 separate computers, both with Windows 10x64. From what I have observed, it occurs when showing that small splash screen when Wurm normally loads. It is not Wurm's graphical settings as the problem is present even when WO isn't installed. What I mean is, I run the jnlp file from the main website and the mouse lagging thing occurs. Once it has loaded, so to speak, it prompts me where to install the game so I believe it has to do with the splash screen. Another observation is that just switching from DP to HDMI cable, the mouse lagging thing is less severe but it's still a good 3~4 seconds rather than 30 seconds with DP. This is with only Java 8 64 bit installed and Java 8 32 bit uninstalled.
  2. Ok, I think I figured it out. Once you generated a map from the generator, you must save it by clicking on "Save Map Files" and waiting for a while for it to save completely. You can then verify that it saved the map proper by using the Map viewer by Keenan and opening it successfully. My previous problems were because it didn't save the map files completely and thus would be stuck at loading server.
  3. For crops, I believe its how often the tick is with 1.0 = 1.0hrs, or it could be that it is usually done within 1 hour. Still finding a balance such that I can plant it and have it done within 1 hour.
  4. Traveling Time

Assuming that the server doesn't lag when more than 400 players log in.
  5. I wanted to come but I don't have a means to travel to the location. That and there are a lot of mobs that can easily kill me on the way.
  6. Ok I poked around the server a bit and apart from a slight delay in stamina regen, the lag seems ok if not managable. It seems that the lag is only bad when there are around 400+ online simultaneously. I guess I will begin my trek there. Hopefully I will be able to hitch a ride there. Thanks for the info guys!
  7. I see. I have read something about Xanadu and how it is more laggy compared to other servers. I have not so pleasant memories of my main dying and having to run from the spawn point in the center of Indy to the south part of Indy. The lag and the distance I have to travel from respawn point makes me not consider going to Xanadu first. I guess I will roll an alt to test Xanadu waters first. If it doesn't work out well, I might get both characters back to Indy and find a spot there. Thanks for the advice!
  8. I see. I wonder how spread out the players are on the servers. I like to feel the feeling of making my place in a secluded area of the map by myself again. That frontier feeling. My main is at Deliverance and my alt is at Release. How do I get my alt to where my main is? Thanks. Edit: I found a spot that looks abandoned. Would people mind if I settle up there? There are some damaged stone walls there and no buildings in sight. Also, I see no one in local when I scout that spot.
  9. A returning player here. I last played 16 months ago and felt like playing again. Is there a list of big changes since the last 16 months? I read that there is a new server even bigger than Indy. How crowded is it? Thanks.
  10. I have finally made my way into the west coast of Deli. I got myself settled in one of the villages there. A lot of the stuff has changed, the character window etc.
  11. I hope I might be able to use my old toon to check things out. Hopefully they are accessible from good old Indy. I still remember the days of Deli opening. Lots of people were moving back then. Wonder how its like. Hopefully there are still lands where the deeded lands are far and where its sparse enough to have an occasional friendly player. Not a fan of deed land stealing. Too much drama. Also, is there any big changes this past year? Anything big to note? I played until shortly after they introduced 2nd floor housing.
  12. Hi everyone. I used to play Wurm Online before, back in 2011. I played a few months on Indy before I didn't have the time to play Wurm. After that I return after a year break to play back in 2012-3 Again, had more commitments come up so stop playing for about a year. Back to now. Im interested to start playing this game again. Was there much change this past year? Are there more and more developed places popping up? Im wondering which server should I play on. I like the idea of playing on a developed server but too much development puts me off because there isn't much space to do new stuff. While playing from a newb toon in a undeveloped server seems challenging and fun, its also hard. Curses to those arachnids. Those give me nightmares. So, which server should I play on? What village should I join? PS: I don't do heavy PVPing. I don't like the idea of having my works destroyed overnight. Anyways, hope to see you in game, in the near future.
  13. For some reason, my client is not responding according to the message before it closed by itself.
  14. I might attend this but that is if I can get reach there 0700 Sat Local time. I will be using my main toon : Argonbuster I have 28 Fs with sucky weapons and decent chain armour. PS: Lets kill lots
  15. Doesnt give the same feeling or satisfaction of killing that big bad monster which that large group players have killed them 10 times each before. I wonder how are they gonna keep the Elder Scrolls experience in the mmo.
