  1. Your post + timer both said two hours from now. " Time: 12pm Saturday EST (6pm Central EU)-(3am Sunday AEST) " is in two hours.
  2. If anyone is still stuck between servers please PM me ingame asap.
  3. Quite a few people got thrown into the water, I am told there's help underway we won't be able to make it at the announced time. We'll start the fight one hour later than the original time. New timer:
  4. 28 minutes to the fight. Signups are now closed.
  5. I'm going to extend the signup deadline until 30 minutes before the fight (so 25 more minutes).
  6. Named it specifically "Sunday, Bloody Sunday" based on the U2 song (which I know is named from the incident). I am sorry if that's offensive.
  7. For those concerned with being able to finish the Xanadu treasure hunt before these fights: Vali said he's planning to keep that area open for at least a month to allow people to finish it.
  8. Time: 19:00 central EU (1 pm EST, 10 am PST) 19:30 central EU (1:30 pm EST, 10:30 am PST) (if the red dragon fight gets delayed we may start a little later) Meeting Location: M11 The fight is not in local of the coast, but it's a 2 minute walk to the alt pen. Signup: In order to be eligible for loot you must be signed up in this thread at least one hour before the fight. You must post your character name if it's different than your forum name. If you're signing up friends then you must list their names. You need to be the owner the character you sign up in order to be eligible for loot (you can't use someone else's alt). Signups are now closed. Fighters: 70 fight skill, 70ql two-handed weapon, 40 skill in the appropriate weapon skill, wearing appropriate armor. You must get credit on Twitter or be active in fight log. You may be requested to put on your 70 or 90 fight skill title. Fo priests who can cast Light of Fo are welcome to sign up as well. Bystanders: Everyone is welcome to show up for blood. If you want to swing at the troll king then make sure you read the rules below. Bystanders do not need to sign up. Fight Rules: In order to allow as many people as possible to get credit for the kill the following rules apply: Fighters must back out after landing a hit. (It is recommended you use your mouse scroll wheel to watch your combat log for hits) Bystanders must back out after a swing, even if you don't hit. Swinging at the target is enough to get on the kill list and get the title. Alts are not allowed to swing at the troll king. We'll be doing a combat log parse after the fight. Blatant offenders will be removed from the loot raffle. Loot: Bone, Skull, Hat and Valrei charges will be raffled among signed up fighters with appropriate skills. Each person is limited to one raffle spot and at most one loot item. Valrei items are considered one item per charge. This is a signup thread for the troll king. If you are also planning to fight the red dragon you must sign up in that thread as well.

  10. That seems extreme, but making hide/scale from dragons a fixed amount per person (regardless of how many people are in local) would go a long way towards curbing private fights.
  11. It would completely ruin the public fights that are community events that regularly attract 100+ people each time. Big -1.
  12. I too like to go mountain climbing in the buff. +1 for sure.
  13. Small correction: 5pm EST is 11pm in Central EU.
  14. I will be there, thanks for the invitation!
  15. I'm having some computer issues, but I hope to be there!

  17. The new newbie gear is a 50ql longsword, 30ql wooden shield and 30ql leather armor. None of it can be improved and it stays in inventory after death. I did a quick test with a new char and it makes combat a lot more viable for new chars since they can now kill rats, sheep, bulls, wolves etc.
  18. Today's patch changed the equipment that new players get. It is now: 50ql longsword 30ql wooden shield 30ql leather armor None of it can be improved and all of it stays on the corpse after death. This is definitely a great change! I did a quick test with a new char: Aged spider: got it down to 5% health before dying Aged rooster: killed it without taking any damage (0.11fs gain!) Adolescent bison: got it down to 60% health before dying Young wild boar: got my butt kicked Mature/Aged sheep: very easy, 0.10fs each Young bull: quite easy, took 15% damage, 0.16fs gain Venerable brown bear: got it to 50% health before dying Aged cave bug: pretty tough fight, 0.21fs This definitely makes it possible for new players to have fun fighting.
