  1. I agree, a potions mod would be awesome. would give flask more purpose. There are already plenty of ingredients that one could combine, animal parts, herbs foraged and botanized, crops, and fluids. Some effects could be- temporary characteristic gain (strength, mind, soul) temporary skill gain instant heals higher regeneration for a pierod temporary learning boost (like sleep bonus) speed boost (movement and action timer) swimming and climbing boosts Plant growth (used on a tree tile or crop to advance growth stage) paralysis (thrown at mob) poison (the result of a failed attempt maybe?)

  3. Tracked this crash to the Bags of Holding mod and reported to the mod author.
  4. Tracked this to the Bags of Holding mod and reported it on gethub and appropriate forum post.
  5. Found a problem with the bags of holding mod. It breaks fruit presses so they no longer can be used. Also if you drop a fruit press on the ground with the mod active it will disappear and cause any client that tries to load that tile it was dropped on will freeze up. I cycled the mod many times and tested the fruit press each time and every time it worked normally with the mod disabled and not at all with it enabled. Also discovered that Bags of Holding was the source of a crash that happened when using a bucket with CoC cast on it to milk.
  6. I just tested it on an alternative server. It worked just fine, so it's defently something to do with the server settings or mods. If anyone knows exactly what to change to turn it back on I'd be extremely grateful.
  7. Thanks for trying to help. I feel like I need to make a video just to show that the building is complete on level one, all walls are finished, and that there is indeed a floor where I'm trying to put the stairs. Trust me I've been playing Wurm for a very long time and know that I'm doing what should be correct, and my carpentry is 92. It's not just that location, it's every building and situation I've tried, it never shows more than the 4 basic options.
  8. The place where I wanted to put the stairs had no floor above. I just saying that in all my clicking around that even if there was a floor above it still gave the option in the menu. I have not tried building the floors above around the opening, I'll try that next but it didn't seem to be a problem in the video.
  9. It's defently a floor, I've tried on most types of floor too, wooden, slab, brick and slate. It always gives those same 4 options even if there is a floor already present above and below. The only other thing I can think of is that the floor is not covering every tile in the house, but that was not an issue before and it was not an issue in the video above. The building is large and the section I want to put the stairs in has floor in the whole room, but there is a second room that has some tiles that are not covered with floor.
  10. Well watching the video, I see where the problem lies... When I right click with my mallet I only get 4 options.. build ladder, floor above floor below, and roof. All the first floor walls are defently complete and there is defently a floor to work off. I suppose this is a good time to mention that I'm playing on a modded server with a modded client.. I suppose it's possible that they might be interfering with the menu. I've tried every tool and every kind of floor and it only every gives me the same 4 basic options.
  11. I was able to make stairs previous to the last patch but since then I can't seem to make them. I've tried everything I can think of. In game crafting recipes call for mallet, hammer or trowel plus a floor plan but no combination of those seems to give me the option to start a staircase. Could someone please explain in detail what to do to create them?
  12. When trying to use a bucket with coc on it to milk cows or bison it will crash the server. Have not been able to test weather it crashes the server when trying to harvest maple sap yet.
  13. When a fruitpress is dropped on the ground it does not render and there is no way to pick it back up or see it, other than being able to tell it's in the tile with the GMTOOL. Once it has been dropped on the ground any person that attempts to log in near the affected tile will freeze up and not be able to move or even turn. Dropping other items in the tile to make an item crate did not help to retrieve the press and resulted in more items being lost. Teleporting a character far enough away from the affected tile would allow them to re-log and be able to move around normally. The way we had to work around the problem was to delete the fruitpress item from the server database. Fruitpresses stored in containers did not cause the same problem. Repeated the bug twice to be sure it was the fruitpress that was the issue.
  14. So on our server recently for a few days we had been getting materials from mining, digging, and woodcutting that were about 20ql levels higher than our current skill level. I was thinking it might have been a feature of the game and we had also just managed to start using much higher QL tools for resource gathering and thought maybe that was what had kicked it in. After adding some mods and restarting the server it seems it is back to how I thought it was suppose to work with materials being capped at our current gathering skill level. My questions is; was there maybe a server setting that was on that allowed the higher resource to be gathered with lower skill levels or was this just a random bug with the server that corrected itself when the server was restarted?
