  1. Protunialogic in case you aren't familiar with it is "-1 all the things", there's nothing more to it
  2. i'll check my lead in the evening, don't mind any of it going poof Note that veins can be VERY small, the smallest i've heard about only had 50 ore in it.
  3. Yaaay! Is the skill limit for doughnut shaped houses the same as normal houses? (as in, do inner walls factor into the limit?) If so the biggest we can build is 9x9 tiles with a 7x7 hole in the middle (36 outer walls + 28 inner walls + 32 tiles = 96 skill) Pretty decent, but kinda small to be the outer wall of a big fortress Also, can we build other houses inside the hole?
  4. And today we learned why we should always use unique auto-assigned identifiers as foreign keys in our database
  5. Saw a lava spider (of all things) with a medium water wound in a mine on deli a few days ago.
  6. Doesn't KoS give you a nice big warning with like 2 minutes to get off the deed before being attacked nowadays? Also pristine is currently way overpopulated with all the negative consequences from that. The community on the older servers (and Release) is probably a lot more friendlier.
  7. Huh, this 39.99 limit doesn't sound right... i'm pretty sure i've seen gains at higher QL products, will pay attention to it next time i'm mining.
  8. Walked my priest to GD yesterday, 75 faith, will be online there starting ~17 UTC
  9. Just a small update, we've crossed the 5k prem line close to 23/12. Chaos stopped updating it's MRTG data files on 29/12, no idea what's up with that but for now i'm ending both graphs on that date. Here's the short term pop graph: And the deed graph: With pure premium numbers Pristine (641) is now the 3rd highest populated server, followed by Deli (686) and Indy (1238, duh). Affliction is the least populated (167), followed by Release (196), Serenety (215) and Chaos (268). More interesting is what happens if you compare those numbers to server sizes: The most densely packed server is Deli with 164 Premium Characters per Million Tiles Second most packed server is actually (*drumroll*) ... Affliction with 167 on a 1024² map giving 159 PC/MT Pristine is third with 153 PC/MT Indy is (somewhat surprisingly) in the bottom half of the list with 1238 players on 4096² tiles giving 76 PC/MT Chaos is at 15.9 PC/MT (Anyone ever wanted 62601 tiles all to yourself? ) Fine print: This only accounts for premium characters. There is no good way to know how many non-prems are on each server, but i imagine this number will vary greatly. Also this in no way indicates how many of those tiles are actually habitable (for example half of indy is either deep ocean or huge cliffs)
  10. Will probably bring my priest (75 faith) I don't mind sat or sun way if it's in the GMT evening.
  11. This image is wrong! it should include being lost in the woods at night and being eaten by wolfs
  12. Actually, there's a better explanation... houses have a greatly increased decay rate once the owner is inactive for 2 (or 3? not sure.) months. I've lost multiple 60QL off-deed stone gatehouses to that "feature" while all the fences around them had like 10 damage.
  13. You're welcome... also you should change your forum signature
  14. FFS, could you guys please find a different thread to derail into a discussion about Wild VS Epic VS Freedom. Or maybe use one of the 231902310 other threads about that subject?
  15. If you make a house just 1 dirt above water level, you don't need to destroy it to get the boat out, you can simply drag it through the door. edit: derp, somebody alraidy said it btw, no need for it to be near water... you can drag the boat however far from water as you want as long as the height is 1 dirt above water level.
  16. It's not necessary new players. It could be that those are old players coming back and becoming premium again, Indy probably has the highest population of inactive old players around. Also a bunch of people are over there for the Impalong, i wonder if we'll see a dip once it's over.
  17. Yeah chaos is beyond ridiculous, more than 1 million iron (a.k.a gold coin) per premium player. Now, most of that money is probably locked in banks of players that no longer play (and i wouldn't be surprised if it also includes people banned for exploiting, etc), but still.
  18. Edit: i've posted some updated graphs on page 3. My last topic was archived (again >.>) and i can't update it so i'm making a new one yet again. The graph shows the current premium player count in game, and their spread between the servers. There is a very dramatic spike after the release (~1300 increase within 10 days!) And a graph zoomed over december, to show what's actually going on in that dramatic spike Technical details: The red line on near the top of the graph is the prem player count as reported by the login server, it's supposedly accurate. The counts reported by each game server have inaccuracies related to players moving to between servers. The total value for all the servers is represented by the blue line. Data points where total reported by game servers differs by more than 50 from the login server are ignored (and extrapolated from nearby points) And here's one for deeds. The historic data starts around september last year. Note the tons of deeds on Pristine (it's getting populated faster than deli and exo ever did). Release is just a small blip on the graph for now (hint to those looking for a place to deed!) I will not be doing the economy graph this time, because1) The data is a bloody mess and manually fixing it is a pain in the rearside 2) it's boring - mostly linear growth Here's a snapshot of the distribution of money (and players) between servers for today: And a nice pie chart showing the distribution of money between servers:
  19. It works in an odd way, some houses i can build a roof without a floor below, some others i can't. Imho a floor on the ground level shouldn't be required for anything, only on higher levels.
  20. I logged out from the game 5 minutes before, after restarting the client i get an error updating the sound pack. Tried manually deleting the pack file, but it still craps out after redownloading it. Edit: disabling the sound pack i can start the client without errors. 21. Most people prefer waterside deeds because boats for now are the only meaningful way to move large volumes of stuff. Protip about resources: check that you have iron nearby, it's required for everything and there are huge areas with no iron nodes around. My last deed was in a region with only tin and until i found an ofdeed iron mine it was a pain in the rearside. You will need a LOT of metals to buy any kind of ship (more so on a server full of new characters, with no shipbuilding skill and no real market for high end metals)
  22. Heh, i managed to miss every single impalong ever since i started playing, i will definetly try to make it to this one.
