There is zero lag when disembarking, wouldn't that be the same thing, "changing surface layers"? And it does kill fps no matter where you stand, just checked, standing on the same tile in the same exact spot as the horse and got bad fps until everything was fully loaded.

Yep, getting insanely horrible lagspikes. I'd get stuck lagged for 5 minutes straight even, with a good connection too. Did get DC'd and killed my connection though once.

I'd say it's a negative for the owner of the trader's contract. If the owner of the trader is looking to say, pay for premium time then what good is items of greater value if they're not actual money. The owner now needs that new item(s) to sell, with the chance that yet another item(s) will be traded in it's place. Kinda defeats the purpose of traders if you can't make money from them.

Note: this bug DOES affect untamed animals as well! I almost lost a champ deer that wasn't tame a few weeks ago because of this. Other untame pets have managed to get inside buildings/gatehouses, or vice versa. Like how the other day one of my dogs that was in a building was somehow outside the building ready to run away because it wasn't tame, and outside our walls. It's a pain to have to do a roll call for a whole bunch of animals after every restart.

I am getting this as well. In inventory and in chests/coffins/barrels, whether they were used recently and repaired or never used at all. If the enchanted crap I paid for is gonna get damaged it may as well be from actually using them :-\
