  1. Raykow that is simply monsterous! Looks great too, love how little the guard tower in the background compared to it.
  2. So right now they need 15 shafts, 13 planks and 13 small nails?
  3. While it does seem like a reasonable system, but with some flaws. From what i understand each villager gets to vote and then the result of the village vote is put forwards, yet this seems unfair to deeds with 30 people being on the same level as a deed with 1 person. While i think the smaller deeds need to have a voice i dont think it is right for them to have the same power as a huge deed. Perhaps a system where deeds with 1-5 people have 1 vote, 6-10 have 2 votes and so on. Or just a simple system where each person has 1 vote, although open to alt abuse but at the end of the day they still pay extra to the game. Secondly i don't see a time frame, which might be hard to settle on due to the probability of swift action needed but also fairness in letting everyone have a chance to be online and vote. Perhaps a 1 week deadline for voting or 1 wurm month.
  4. Don't think its needed or welcomed for wild but i'd like to see a altar at the howl, and possibly a bit of work done on the site to make it seem more than a token and some dirt as its not very impressive for a spawn point, but thats a different topic.
  5. To the ideas first suggested, -1 as stated before it is a focus point of the server and non-pvp areas in the middle of a pvp server just sounds stupid. Plus recent-ish updateds such as artifact charging a altar destroying would seem even more pointless than they are already. I think it is fine as it is, yeah i know it doesnt look amazingly pretty but i suspect thats because you cant place deeds near it and people dont tend to want to spend hours making a place look nice if someone can easily come along at night and grief it. With the remove the spawn point suggestion i don't think its needed either as all it takes is a tiny bit of research and you'll know not to choose that spawn, im pretty sure that if that was changed new players that cant be bothered to make a little effort before joining wild will find another way to die and moan about that instead. Plus about the whole JK didnt want it anyway thing, i think that falls a little flat, there was some pretty intense fighting for it from what i understand but then i wasn't actively fighter there. I'd just put it down to the natural reaction in most real life wars where when a place is lost the defeated usually claims that it was of little importance while the victor tries to make it seem the best thing since sliced bread. Its a nice epeen bonus and makes some things easier but its not like the JK are going to be crying in their sleep over it. I'd say its fine as it is and it looks better than the BL, as without buildings or anything really there is looks forgotten and unimportant.
  6. Oh yes devean you are totally right rolf hasn't tried to improve freedom at all over the past year, nothing at all, its exactly the same, no attempts to stop griefing, nothing at all, i must have dreamed it all up. Just because rolf spent a week trying to improve the pvp of the game doesn't indicate a lack of care for freedom. Freedom has had alot of improvements over the last year, and i cannot personally think of any majorly bad ones either. Can you people not just look at the overall picture and see that improvements are happening. Rolf does care about all aspects of the game, maybe he doesn't focus entirely on your favourite aspect but it doesn't mean it is being ignored.
  7. While i agree with nearly all you said Othob especially about the need of a super-power 'world cop' but i majorly disagree that withdrawing from its forces from its current positions will do anything but harm the US. It would not only be chaos for the people and governments of the areas affected it would cause US supported nations across the globe to feel vunerable to their enemies and look for a new power for shelter, most likely China, who would most likely seek to remove any US interests such as corperations and western companies from the region massively hitting the US ecconomic system. It would be the same as in 1950 for the US to withdraw from europe and watch the USSR role over it and then wonder why no one there wants to buy their dishwashers. On the actual topic i think the debt crisis or whatever you want to call it is not something that will actually cause something majorly bad, i don't think even politicians are that petty, but it is just a sign that the US is declining. To use a historic example it is more like the boer wars' effect on the British Empire, nothing that will actually bring the world to its knees just another sign that it doesn't quite have the power it used to, for whatever reason. Oh and the apple thing, i believe it was apple has more money ready to spend than the US government rather than debts, assets ect.
  8. Rolf obviously is not suffering the same problems as terra nova as he has just appointed his second staff member in only a few months and to quote a modder of a game i play about a similar i quit thread "people that really want to leave ususally don't post a goodbye message - they just leave. Everything else is just a cry for help" And to Mongori, you say that only a small minority of wurm players are interested in pvp, how do you know that he is not trying to appeal to more people outside of the current wurm population and believes that epic will increase wurm numbers more than just appeasing current players. I'd trust the person running a successful money making game over an annoyed and frankly selfish player, just because something is not aimed at you or even most players does not make it worthless.
  9. Wurm Baby

Congratulations, as he is a second generation doe s he have a traits?
  10. Im all for a different combat system and like what i hear generally about pre-ff but i would be very against any kind of system which rewards fighting penned animals for reasons expressed above. But ideally i'd rather a more interactive RPG style combat system, and don't give me any of that bull about wurm not being wow because adding a decent combat system doesnt make a game become a wow clone.
  11. I don't think this would be a positive move as it would further incourage new players to settle very close to current bartenders, which i believe are all located around The Howl/FM, perhaps one is still at samling. Making the current situation in which people moan about the area being crowded even worse.
  12. Yeah i'd agree with you, the vast majority of changes i've seen since i've been playing have been progressive and positive. Just a note on your comments about epic, it wont have repeated skill resets, at least thats what i believe rolf said on irc the other day.
  13. +1 I like the idea, although i think this is the kinda thing rolf has in mind already for epic but more ideas can never hurt.
  14. Can we all make friends and bake cakes?
  15. Loving the overlays and text functions as they are hugely useful. My main fault with it is the way stone house walls and tall walls just seem to blend into the tiles making it hard to make out, is there anyway to make the contrast higher or a outline on the wall? Brilliant work anyway.
