By the way, this server rocks, it is really a blast on this server. I have been playing consistently for the past month and currently have way too many projects going with not enough time to finish. The community gets together to battle bad guys often and seems to be growing. The mods are all very good, they are exactly what I would have if I had my own public server. What would need to happen to get some traction on this? It looks like more people are for this idea than against it based on the limited number of responses. I agree that the channel would need to be able to be toggled on/off.

Thank you for your feedback everyone! I can't imagine that the focus and design of this game is to be an MMO that asks it's players to go offsite to a forum to initiate trades of goods and services. It would be nice to have a choice.

I have looked through the entire forum and haven't found any talk of an auction chat channel. If I missed it and this is redundant, please give me a link and accept my apologies. When I started playing, I didn't know anything about the forum, I knew I had a thing called a referral I could sell for 6 or 7s and when I tried to sell it, I asked in general chat and was able to sell it. I had people suggest that I post it in the forums which I had no interest in. That was the first time I wanted to have a chat channel that was strictly for selling and buying. I am a person that is very instant gratification motivated. When I have something I want to buy or sell, I would like to broadcast that to others on my server without spamming Freedom Chat. Conversely, I would like to see what others are trying to sell as they are trying to sell it in real time. I would be willing to pay more oftentimes if I could get it when I want it but at least I would have a choice and the ability to negotiate in real time. I look forward to your feedback either way. Here are my supporting points. 1. Dedicated chat channel for listing items you WTB or WTS will limit spam on general chat channels. 2. Instant Gratification for buyer and seller. 3. A chat channel I would pay attention to more than CA-Help, Fredom Chat or Freedom-GL. 4. Not expensive or difficult to code into the game. 5. Real time access to goods and services available to and from everyone, not just those that go on the forums. Not sure if it would be server specific or open to freedom servers... opinions? I know as population increases it would make sense to be server specific. Thank you, Backsnap

I have seen some people suggest an auction house and while that would be great, and I too would like to see something like that. My suggestion in the meantime is pretty simple. I would like to join an /auction channel where people on my server can list the things they WTB or WTS and have instant access to buyers or sellers instead, or in addition, to listing it on the forums and waiting for a reply. When I have silver and want to purchase something I am an instant gratification kind of guy.
