  1. I don't have the knowledge of the database coding Wurm Online uses, but from a general experience it's possible the original crafter's name used a key # (database number linked to info like the character's name) and the original character was later deleted and so when the key # was reassigned for use in the database, it was associated with one of Aneila's zombies. This is just a guess, but it could explain how.
  2. I believe to answer the first part of your report, the task of: regards the harvested product of a tree/bush/trellis, not the seedling or sprout cut from it on the side. So if you'd harvested a fruit from that trellis when it was in season that turned out rare, that would count for the achievement. The key word in the achievement is harvesting . The actual command to pick a fruit/nut from a tree/bush/trellis with a sickle is 'harvest'. Not so for cutting a sprout or seedling from it. Confusing perhaps at first, but there is some logic within.
  3. You generally have better odds using a rare in the creation process rather than the improving process for having that rare part/material create a rare object. The key is using the rare to create something that uses the entire piece, not just part of it. You odds basically then becomes 1/total number of parts needed to create the final item. Unfortunately that's difficult for a rare stone shard, as walls/fences/buildings can never be rare. Perhaps sell it?
  4. One thing that should be noted is that dealing real life money for ingame stuff is against the rules. So if someone offers you something in game in return for you giving them real life cash/credit in some way, that's a clear violation and they should be reported to staff. That's a bannable offense. The only exception is using the official Wurm Online web-based shop (non-Steam client) or the official Steam account system (for characters created using the Steam client). In other words, official payment to the Wurm Online system (like when you purchase Premium time for your character) and not other players.
  5. Was your papyrus blank? If so, it's treated as an ordinary raw materials for mailing costs, which is 1c each. Messages (paper of either sort with a message written on it) is 1 iron each.
  6. I expect that all that has to be done is replace 'Ballistae' skill with 'Cartography' skill. In other words, what gave you ballistae skill affinity in the past now gives you cartography skill affinity.
  7. Try sacrificing them or selling them to the deed token. I don't know for certain that these options would work, just a suggestion about what you can test to try to get rid of unwanted chess pieces.
  8. I did it!

Congratulations, Raycg! Cheers for seeing the result come into being for all that hard work and effort in Masonry!
  9. Releasing a game / major change in a game just days before the midwinter holidays generally proves to be a major headache for the customer support staff (and developers) of a company. Perhaps waiting till early January might be a good idea after all.
  10. Try asking in a post in your server forum section. It's possible the old creators of that mine/tunnel are more likely to read the post there than here. Of course, if they've quit the game or moved to a different server you might be out of luck getting the underground tunnel path from the sources.
  11. One thing to keep in mind is that Cartography will be an official in-game skill with results that are an official result of game coding. The Community Maps generally aren't official, and are provided by players for players. Very useful, yes, but not produced officially.
  12. Not really on topic for the thread, but I just wanted to add a little note with some tips to answer some of your cons/questions. (1) If your starter house is needing wooden beams, it means you're building a timber-framed house and not the standard wooden house for starters. A 'wooden house' (made with wooden walls, wooden door, etc) just needs 20 planks and some nails for each wall/door, no timber beams at all. ALOT easier to build than a timber-framed house. (2) Water being far away means a good suggestion would be to try to build a fountain/well nearby, crafting and using a pendulum to find where a water source tile is near you to build a well or fountain on to access replenishable fresh water without having to walk to the shore. Maybe these two bits of info might be helpful? Good luck and glad to see you enjoing the game as a new player. Welcome!
  13. I believe I first encountered a reference to Wurm Online back around 2007 or so from an article in PC Gamer magazine (the online articles). They had a number of articles back then on the game (almost never now) and even had their own settlement set up on Golden Valley (and later Independance). My internet connection at the time was only dial-up, so I could barely stumble through to appear in the old New Dawn starter town on Golden Valley, but maybe a year or two later my internet access improved and I was able to start actually playing from there. Good times in the old days!
  14. Normally this means one of three things: (1) animal died (is dead) (2) animal was caged and transported to a different server or (3) animal was unbranded by the mayor Is it possible from your examination that any of the above are true?
  15. Thank you for posting the realisation of what was causing the issue for you and that it wasn't a "bug" needing correcting. I have to admit when I viewed the screenshot, at the time I missed that it was actually a 'pitchfork fork' activated and not a completed 'pitchfork'. Glad you're able to ted your hay now!
  16. From your screenshots, your client's definitely not giving you the option that the game /should/ be giving you with the pitchfork. I know for myself I do get the 'farm' option with the pitchfork in that situation and have no idea why it's not giving it for you. Pitchfork activated? *check* On hay tile? *check* On hay tile that is untedded? *check* Right-clicking to get options? *check* 'Farm' option showing? -No- You seem to be doing all the above steps correctly from what the screenshot shows.
  17. I'd urge using the option of providing those qualifying players with a bonus code for their 3 days premium rather than developers just adding it directly at some unknown time. Premium time is used up whether the character is online or not, and it's best for players to be aware of when and whether their character has premium time coming to them before it appears, and better yet, allowing them to activate that compensatory premium time at their leisure. Having premium time added and used up while one is on winter holiday or some other time away from the game might not leave a good impression on customers.
  18. Cheers for the boar practice dolls! It's the first time I've ever seen them so they must've been created new for this event. Nice work, art dev team!
  19. Had to've been a deliberate removal of the deed as the minimum upkeep at start would have had it last at least a month if not more.
  20. I recently had legacy birchwood fragments as well that won't combine with the new wood fragments. It would seem like some of the old 'birchwood' would need to be converted to wood fragments in some way.
  21. Maybe bred in captivity (the parents for having an offspring) gives the Freedom Isles tag?
  22. How about goblins can place traps in their enclosed camp that can catch riding animals in them and tangle them for a certain amount of time in place?
  23. On CA Help today a player asked if Pottery Flasks can be sealed. Checking the wurmpedia listing for Pottery Flask, there's no mention of ability for it to be sealed nor how to do it. Player then responded that they'd accomplished sealing a pottery flask using a wax sealing kit, so perhaps the listing for Pottery Flask in the Wurmpedia can be updated by adding that info? Thanks.
  24. Animal's traits can have an effect, too. (1) slow metabolism - will graze half as often, I believe (2) stationary - won't move around to trample the tiles (3) graceful eater - less chance to reduce the growth stage of the tile it grazes from (4) constantly hungry - will graze more often than without this trait So when comparing, best to be aware of the traits the animals have as well.
  25. One interesting observation I had recently is that when I was harvesting hay (fully dry), I rode to put some in a feeding trough nearby. Accidentally, I put a small portion in my horse's saddlebags (they only hold about 5 plain hay) and the horse immediately ate one! That's right, horses will eat regular gathered hay from the saddlebags, it doesn't have to be wrapped into stacks or bundles for them to do this. Maybe the hay bundles decay less or something, but just saying you don't /have/ to wrap hay into a bundle to let a horse satisfy its hunger from its saddlebags.
