  1. I think the biggest problem is how spread out everyone is, even with two PvE clusters that the game has made impossible to travel between. Let me put it in perspective, when I first started playing Wurm Online and moved with friends to Independance, that was the only PvE server there was apart from the Golden Valley tutorial server where we'd originally spawned. There was the Wild server for PvP, and the Freedom/Independance server for PvE. That was it, and there were many many more active players than there are now. The only reason not to be able to travel to a player-created RP tavern would have been either (1) a player's choice to remain a hermit or stick close with friends elsewhere, or (2) the long distance to travel from a far part of Indepedance to get there (since there was just one Freedom server, there was no way to 'fast travel' by cutting across to other servers and chaining a return trip to end up at the opposite shore like there is today). Now this was 10+ years ago, so I know it'll be impossible to ever return to those days again, but this is just an old-timer telling tales of how Wurm Online was enjoyed in the 'old days'. Tamos, what I'd recommend is that you find an active community cluster of deeds on a server in the Southern Freedom Isles (the cluster you're on now) and set up your tavern there rather than just creating one and hoping players find out about it and travel to your tavern. You could even post on the Independance forum asking where players would like to have one to visit, or ask if there's a cluster of players interested in RP and where would be a good place to join them as an idea.
  2. From what I recall, this is intentional so that one character can't just create all three colossi themselves. You at least need a follower or priest of the deity for starting each one.
  3. Hi Meemers, apologies for the confusion. Posting here gets you added to the Harmony Community Map, which is a different map system than the Wurmnode maps. If you compare the two, you'll find this community map for Harmony has alot more info (# of deeds for one) shown on it than the Wurmnode map for Harmony. The Yaga map is the one this gets updated to, and so yeah your M and M Isle deed is already on the New Harmony Community Map. It's my fault you were suggested to post here when you were already shown on this thread's map. I've no connection to the Wurmnode map and their policies.
  4. May's a much more thoughtful time out of respect for the other NFI Impalongs going on during the approaching holiday season. Of course, it needn't be as far away as May if you don't mind rescheduling for a nearer day like February or March?
  5. WurmNode

There's a Harmony community map with a thread in the Harmony forum. You can request your deed to be added there. It's active and there is a player maintaining it. All that's required there is you posting in that forum thread and giving the relevant info like map coordinates. That is unless you just wish it to be added specifically to the Wurmnode system and not elsewhere. Anyways, Explora maintains the Harmony Community Map and here's the link New Harmony Community Map .
  6. You might want to give them some details so they can more easily find your bridge to check it out. For example: What server is it on? If it's on a deed, or next to one, what's the deed's name? What's the bridge's name? And is it happening on both sides, or just one side's support building? A picture alone in a bug tracking developer's case is not worth a thousand words.
  7. Thank you, Army and developers, for the changes you've posted in this thread. They'll all make great additions to the new resource node player ease of use! I know the only drawbacks I'd felt were needed are all covered by these changes and so they'll be very welcome.
  8. I've not noticed getting any less rare coins overall from the new forage/botanize nodes compared to the old tiles method. It's my opinion that brand new players would enjoy having visual nodes they can check over just being told to do it on blank grass tiles.
  9. No, if you toggle your deed to no longer have any nodes, then you'll have no places to use foraging and botanizing on your deed. The old foraging and botanzing on tiles themselves no longer exists in the game, you can only do it on nodes.
  10. << Editted to remove an incorrect statement of belief. Lead developer for the project has posted a correction quoting what was here, if you'd like to see the original. It was just a belief, not a statement of fact, that it turns out was wrong. Apologies for any confusion caused. >>
  11. Cheers the event holders and hopes everyone had fun!
  12. +1 The more things made consistant in code between the old cluster (SFI) and the new cluster (NFI) the better!
  13. Don't forget the NFI / SFI split and the fact that trades ingame can never happen between the two. That'd be a major issue for any coded trade system or even trade notification designed to be logged.
  14. I disagree with this. We should be more inclusive, not less. Sometimes non-premium players (which isn't the same as never-premium players) have very useful observations and creative posts to add. For one thing, I have three alts and I'm not going to create a seperate forum login for each. Thus, that's three different character logins that would have to be tied to my forum login and one of those characters is an old exile remaining on the Golden Valley server where you can't have an actively-premium character even if you wanted to (You can buy prem for it, but it'd not be able to run as premium in-game).
  15. I support this as well. At least the last specific # of transactions shown, rather than for the character's lifetime. Even if it only holds for the one server the deed bank is on, it's better than no visible record/transaction log at all.
  16. Thank you for the clarification about wool vs cotton in terms of amounts found, Hailiah. I'd made a bad assumption.
  17. How about increasing the quantity of wool when found in the new gathering nodes, so that it's the same amount as shearing a sheep once (at the standard level, without bonuses due to age/etc). At least, have it be the amount of wool that a BSB considers one unit. That way players should have a chance of getting enough wool to heal wounds beyond just light ones. With my suggestion, it'd enable using the wool for bandaging much the same as cotton from the node gives you (1 kg).
  18. Or sell anything to a deed token, even junk scraps like a foraged item or a butchered corpse you have no need for, and you'll get from one to eleven iron coins based on the quality of the item you sell. That'll give you iron coins depositing in your empty bank account. It doesn't even have to be the token of your own deed, you can sell to a starter town's settlement token or any other as well.
  19. It's the archaeology journal that has a minimum quality of 30+ for the paper put inside it to become blank archaeology reports.
  20. Banning doesn't delete the data forming the account, it just prevents them from logging in with that account.
  21. Searching back a bit, I found I was in error when I described the relevant tunnel as not being called Dragon Fang Pass. It seems that was indeed the original name. For your perusal, here's a link to a forum thread showing a pic from inside the tunnel in thanks to one of the contributors to the project over the years. It's from 2017, though the Dragon Fang Pass project was started by Gumbo before even 2015. Shout Out to Finndar
  22. I'd not mind talking with you and your team, but truly I had no role in the construction/planning/design of the Dragon Fang Tunnel at all. Merely using the southern part of it for mining with a formerly active player after it was constructed is it, as well as benefitting from Gumbo's help in a beginner's village much further north that he'd formed for new players is my only connection.
  23. Gumbo was the originator of the Dragon Fang Tunnel project (never was called a 'pass' so far as I know). From his forum link it appears as though the player was banned as of a year ago, it seems. Note that I had no involvement in the construction, but as a now "old-timer" player around here was able to make use of the tunnel a couple years after the project was completed and had benefitted from Gumbo's assistance when first starting to adventure as a new player on Independance. Some of the other early players involved in the Dragon Fang Tunnel project might still be around and be willing and able to meet with you to contribute to your study. It seems like a nice idea you and your team have started.
