  1. whenever java crashes, it creates a file on the desktop, hs_err_pid.log. Posting the contents of this error file will give us more information useful in tracking down why your client is crashing. Without this data, we would just be making blind guesses.
  2. here is how the 2 cards you mention and the card which I have in my machine compare, from Passmark: http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/compare.php?cmp[]=46&cmp[]=1169&cmp[]=18
  3. this was a fairly common occurrence for many players running 32 bit java on 64 bit OS. See http://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/topic/82478-installing-java-recent-crashes-out-of-memory/
  4. conversations in game in the last 24 hours would seem to indicate that either the account really wasn't sold or the original person still has access to the account... That is, unless Crimson's grandmother is an English teacher that they don't want to replace with a real one....
  5. The issue is a combination of IE and the specific Rich Text Editor plugin that is in use by the forums. You would experience this issue with other websites which use the exact same plugin. According to the IP.Board help forums, the CKEditor is not fully supported in IE 11.
  6. Look for the settings for Catalyst AI in the Catalyst Control Center -> 3d Settings. Catalyst AI enabled is a set of optimizations that improves framerates by lowering visual quality, but trying to do so without being noticable. Setting it to "quality" simply means that none of the optimizations are enabled.
  7. This is an issue with the Rich Text Editor in Internet Explorer. You can click the little switch in the upper left of the editor to turn it off, and still use all the normal bbcode tags, and cut/paste will work.
  8. Try using the link on the website to download a current client package, rather than an old shortcut you might have on your desktop.
  9. Dislike of a game because of the technology that it is built on is definitely a right..... However, I personally do not find that the fact that the game is built using java has had any negative impact on my game experience. Also, how many commercial games do you have installed and running smoothly on that Slackware Machine anyway?
  10. This is a crash caused by ATI. Make sure you have the most up to date drivers, and disable CatalystAI
  11. This is a crash in the ATI video driver. Verify you have the latest Drivers from ATI, and disable Catalyst. Also, re-enable FBO, GLSL and MultiDraw, they will cause problem with ATI cards if disabled.
  12. I fail to see anything in the description or the conversation that indicates any sort of Griefing, as defined in http://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/topic/7-game-rules/. Block Access? NOPE. Harassment? NOPE. Lockpicking? NOPE. Highway modification? NOPE. Heritage site modification? NOPE. KoS violations? NOPE. Blocking Merchants? NOPE. Seems to me this is a pretty normal case of 2 people disagreeing on something, but nothing on the level of griefing.
  13. Impalong

I'm not sure that you would be able to sell the drops for enough to distribute a few silver to every person that attends, but I might be wrong. Either way, good luck with the attempt!
  14. moved to the correct Technical Issues section
  15. There is a suggestions forum for exactly this purpose.
