  1. I know the rainbows and moon(s) are a favorite, why not both!?
  2. This is awesome! I am actually not too far away from there, I could help build the brick buildings (51 masonry, not high but enough to help I'd think) if you needed the help. I would just need the mats to make the mortar, unless it's already made and ready to go! I play everyday after work from 6pm Central Saskatchewan time until around midnight. My home has a mine I dug out, so endless amount of bricks
  3. I agree with Roggeh, the learning curve for Wurm isn't the same as most mainstream games or even sandboxes, and you truly need to stop and take time to smell the flowers, or in this case, read the text in the tutorials. Yes, even after I did the tutorial I still had 1000 questions, but at least the bare basics were covered for the most part, and I wasn't completely hopeless. An option to skip the tutorial for alts, I will +1 that, but at the same time there would likely be more griefing, as previously mentioned. Quite the decision to make!
  4. having only ever played on Pristine since it's release, I still see lots of critters roaming about. Cripes I nearly ran head first into a tiger of some sort while gathering herbs yesterday, and scorpions were giving me dirty looks while trying to yield some tar. As far as space is concered, there is pleanty. I had zero problem setting up a house across the street from a deed I used to own (took a 10 month break) and it's quiet, yet entertaining enough that you still have people in local to chat with. Overall a very friendly server I might add! P.S. this is about a 5min run from Blossom the starting point of the server, the further out you go I would asume there is a larger abundance of wildlife and free spaces to claim for yourself!
  5. [23:38:15] You have just received the title 'Mason'! I was a point away for what seemed like forever, but finally got there! PM me if you ever need some masonry work
  6. Thanks for the hard work! Now I won't need to be nearly mauled to death by wild cats and lava spiders trying to get to the other clay pit, not to mention the swim across.
  7. True, however I know I personally would probably be more inclined to imp my grindstones and masonry stuff inside my house if it looked more like a 'home' and less like an abandoned house. There is so much room to expand on this, such as having items scattered across each server that spawn only when either certain conditions are met, during certain weather, times of day, season, or on a timer that us as adventureres can seek, obtain, and bring back home to show off. Kind of like Ultima Online, almost like a trophy. Ooo it's exciting just to think about it!
  8. Oh for sure, but would be a feature not many (if any) other games have, and could be applied to many other items, such as tables, fountains, beds, etc.
  9. As a Mason, I take a lot of pride in my stonework, and was a little sad, when imping my statues I didn't notice any significant changes to them. They are meant to be beautiful or meanacing works of art, and is one way to show off your masonry skill. I think it would be a neat feature to have the statue gradually look 'better' the higher the quality is. Even if that means having them look slightly less desirable as they pop out now, (darker, less defined, cracked, etc.) and say have them increase in appearance at every 20 quality intervals. So at 100 quality, your statue can have a particularly nice shine to them, zero cracks, and look very well defined, and at 1 quality they could be basically a vague slab of stone, with only the basic contours completed. Probably would be a lot of work, but just another realistic and fun element that could be added to the game, to further show off one's masonry skill, I am sure more people would seek skilled masons for their talents for this reason too.
  10. Slave Wages

IMO if the players are offering the rate, it's their choice. Not every player can buy coin every month, and some people even do good deeds such as this for free, just to help their fellow Wurmians out. The items that go for silver coin is usually very high in quality or rarity, so comparing labor to these items is a little unfair
  11. lol It's a bit confusing for sure, and took me a bit to understand aswell. I am a mason, so I I imp things often, such as my deeds forge/stove/altar, and even though I am nearly 50 Masonly, I couldn't understand why I couldn't imp past 35 with my rock shards. Well my rock shard quality was at 35, so I couldn't go any higher. I would need to get my mining up passed 35 in order to mine 35 quality shards. I can use my chisel though as it is directly related to my masonly skill, but alas my items requiring imping all are asking for rock shards, so at 35 quality they will sit. So basically in your case you will likely get tired of failing at improving your pickaxes as your skill will become too low to do so, can always make another pickaxe and start the process over again to raise your skill, as imping is a great opportunity for skill gains! Easiest way to understand is to experiment with all the skills, once you see for yourself based on the materials required for imping, and when you start getting error messages telling you your item quality is too low to go any further, or when you get 10x fails in a row, you'll have an epiphany
  12. Hello graphic gods! I am curious to know if there are any plans to work on Calf animals, and/or perhaps Hens & Roosters. I find the calves look awfully scary with their bright white teeth showing, and having zero animation movement. I know you all have your plates full for sure with other, and probably more important graphical updates, but just would love to know if there are any plans to work on our dear calves, as I cannot help but think of those hunks of Shawarma when I look out from my balcony at my animal pen. Great stuff with all the animal updates thus far too, majorly impressed!
  13. There is a difference between conversation and madness haha I work with a bunch of people aswell in a cubicle setting, people of all ages, and it's rough sometimes. I am stuck between two women whom are older and I have nothing in common with, who both listen to their radio's to different music (left side I get Country, and right side i get Christian music, thus I am basically in Hell) and they both will gab to me (I am 25) about their likes and dislikes, their plans, and I could really give a hoot about any of it. I just am forced to smile and nod, as I do like my job, and would rather not get fired from strangling my co-workers, doubt I could collect EI with that as my cause of unemployment lol Some people just need to learn to keep things to themselves. I am sure the OP (like myself) enjoys a good conversation, but some people are just impossible to have one with.
  14. I'd buy a t-shirt, or a mug, in fact I'd be willing to do up the deisgn for them, I have 10+ years of graphic design experience, and I would do it for... wait for it... free!
