  1. The one elder in my town was in his early to mid 70's when I joined the town - back in 2008, so that would put him nearly 80 or over 80 now. He still plays occasionally with his son and I believe grandson.
  2. Who ever said the "game owner" would not assist and help with all questions from PP or otherwise? We would be more than happy to help if we got official requests from PP, banks or otherwise. I find it unfair you are somehow blaming the game, when GM's have spent the better part of 4-5 days chasing all this info to the ends of the earth. Should PP or a bank ask for info, we have info, and it will be up to Rolf to release that if he gets an official request. So far there has been none, afaik. We cannot just open the floodgates and start giving players server transaction log dumps and internal information. Privacy policies and laws do not allow it, and we don't need people being vigilantes. I assure you, as Enki did 2x already, all assets are being accounted for and locked down in an effort to manage damage control. It was the first thing we did in this case, and I am stunningly proud in how the whole GM team got on board with this mess to limit further damage. We so far have not heard from Paypal, any banks, nor the accused player in this case even once Sort it out with your bank and paypal, first and foremost. We cannot do that for you. If they need detailed information on the larger issue, they are more than welcome to contact us. If that doesn't work for you, we are here for you and we will do our best to sort this issue, despite the fact that it has been stated 1000 times that all such transactions are at your own discretion. Don't pin this on staff being lackadaisical, for we are busting butts and literally losing sleep chasing all this mess. There are GM's losing worktime, RL wages, to chase this mess. Gm's spending time chasing numbers when they should have been out playing ball with their children. We are doing backflips chasing this whole mess, and we have no magic tools available to us to simply look up any of this stuff. That part of the equation falls on our two very competent servers guys, and it is often a long, arduous process to chase items back in time.
  3. Some of the personal information on this fellow has been removed (hidden) by myself in this thread. The last thing we need is some angry fellow digging deeper into the net and getting it into his head that he demands personal justice or some other harassment. Paypal has ruled on it and I hope all of your are squared up with that. Let us deal with the IG end of things. Do contact Paypal if you have not had your chargeback flipped. There comes a time where people make mistakes and people hunt witches, and that's fair and well, but when things are settled and people have money back in their banks in such a situation I worry about people getting doxxed or perhaps even suffering personal injury. We do not need to make effigies of people after the fact, and I couldn't bear some less than stable person further doxxing someone and causing personal harm to them IRL. It has happened before over lesser things, but thankfully not in Wurm. I assure you this case is still active and will remain so for some time. I hope this is understandable. If it is not, feel free to PM me, or holler at my Boss. I believe in transparency, and this is honestly the only time I have ever done any forums modding, but it needed doing. This fellow is easy to track down just off the name, but I cannot accept people drawing a road map to the fellows home via Wurm forums. Thanks, GM Baphomet / Duce
  4. I am very happy to see Paypal was prompt and just in this issue. If anyone else is still having issue with Paypal, take the advice from the other affected folks book and fill out the form on Paypal. It is often wise in such cases to not jump to conclusions against people, for all we know there could have been a security breech out of a persons control or similar. I hope the accused player will voice their issues in their defense here, or with the GM Team directly - if something to that effect was the case. As for any punishments to involved players, I obviously cannot give any details but I can assure you it is being discussed amongst the GM team. Regards, GM Baphomet
  5. We encourage you to reply to Paypal in an honest and forthright manner with any evidence you may have. With any luck, the mass of similar case file issues across the entire scope of effected players will all add up and perhaps be blatant enough to see that this is a widespread issue and maybe the whole spectrum of chargebacks will be thrown out the window. We cannot reply to them on your behalf, so that's your first step on this. Paypal is your first line of defense, so do assist them with prompt, factual information when you reply to the chargeback query.
  6. Just as a note, we are aware of these issues and they are being looked into.
  7. Team Contracts

She's the best bug chaser (or at the very least, equal to Manny) and tamer of errant code that Wurm has ever seen, among other things. Many of the things that work well in Wurm are due to the heavy testing she does and the deep communiccations she relays to the devs. Ain't a bug that gets reported that she doesn't get her hands on. Next time you report a bug and are stunned that it gets fixed on the following week, it's likely that Alectrys had her hands on it. She's been one of the best team additions in history, as far as I am concerned. Grats to all.
  8. No problems here using Chrome and Mobile FF. Tested using a LG G4 running Android 6.0, an Alcatel OneTouch running 4.x, and a Samsung Tab 4 running 4.x as well. Also looks just fine on an iPad Pro in both Chrome and Safari, fwiw.
  9. Yes, it was a severe problem at one time, to the point where I personally and semi off the record would recommend people not to re-inf floors at all. Many of us GM's were even tearing up re-inf floors near starter towns simply because of the fact it was causing deaths, both to the average player and even to GM's in invuln mode. The one mine with re-inforced floors in Indy ate and insta-killed my GM toon close to 10 times within one afternoon. I tore up all the fllor tiles and I never saw another ticket on that area come in again. It was a serious issue that I think was a real bear for the devs to track down, but: Thankfully, one of the devs looked into it and it's now fixed, afaik. I assure you, us GM's didn't like said tiles killing us any more than we did watching them eat the paying customer. That may not be of much condolance, bug some bugs are a real bear to chase, and it's been fixed for many months now.
  10. It's actually about 12.5k where things seem to really get freaky, player side for us GM's. I've been a GM for nearly 4 years now and haven't seen "inventory pukes" until well over about 12,000 items. We've only really seen it on priests thus far, mainly due to the stacking "prayer bank" aspect of priests. At the end of the day, I just want people to be able to open their own inventories without crashing, and as a side effect, I'd like to not spend 3 hours x 8 GM's copy pasting ID numbers, fishing coins out one by one. which is why this update pleases me. Throw your coins in the bank where they should be. We have hit multiple instances of players with 14k or 15k+ of inventory items. The moment you would open inv on these toons, it'd be crash time. Even on a GM toon, if you tore their heart out and grabbed the body. you'd crash out. Previous to this fix, our only real option was to Hellcommand each coin/item off. I can understand some upset to these changes, but there's no sane reason to be packing around 15,000 iron coins, lol. The first big isntance we saw of this, it bugged out our illustrious Head GM Enki to the point where he could not even open his inv stack. She's not a major issue, but when it does go sideways, it takes about 7-8 GM's on one player for multiple hours (the first ticket we saw of this was a priest with 15,000+ coins, and it took 6+ GM's 3+ hours just to get the toon loadable), summoning one item at a time, then the defacto work of making sure you have not shorted the player on items when it comes time to return them, over 8 GM's summoning stuff off. Just my two bits, anyways - as someone who's likely spent 12 solid hours over a handful of tickets where the "too many things in inventory" issue caused the Avatar to be entirely unplayable.
  11. There were some severe cases for us GM's of players with 15,000+ iron coins in their inventories that were not only making the Player Avatars unplayable, but the servers shaky at best. It would take 8 GM's 3-4 hours at a time, summoning a coin at a time to fix this to ensure player and servers kept stable. It's the best fix I've seen for the last 3 years, but YMMV.
  12. bump - sorry for the typo on Mathan, been a long day, Thanks, Duce
