  1. First, yes, I could, but I shouldn't have to. It was lazy coding on Rolf's part to not convert the tiles. Secondly, as stated before, they are a useless tile in the Freedom cluster, unless the Hate path can still be attained while there, in which case, I shall retract my request. Lastly, unless you can go Hate, the tile itself is completely useless, compared to all other tiles (well, marsh is useless too I believe).
  2. Actually, it keeps trees from growing, and grass. Libila was removed from the server, Rolf said no Libilia on Freedom servers, mycelium should also be removed along with the altars. And in my opinion, and many others, its ugly as sin.
  3. My wife said only if the bunnies are unkillable will she approve of bunnies.
  4. Its useless, ugly and has no place on Freedom servers. Also keeps grass from growing and probably trees too. We don't need it, you can have nostalgia on Affliction and Elevation.
  5. Please. Also, convert all the Libila altars to random white light gods please, or just remove them.
  6. I would like more weapons I can make and improve with carpentry. Especially a one handed weapon, so I can stay out in the field longer and imp it on site, instead of being a slave to the forge. Examples would be a wooden maul, a baton, staff (imp-able), club, etc. ADIT: Added the idea to make all weapons have a wooden "practice" version we could use on a doll to get skill in that weapon to 20 without damaging the doll so much.
  7. Baking

You are all forgetting what baked goods do for humans, and it could be added to the game. While the carbs do offer a burst of energy, don't forget that most baked goods are sweets and are a reward to the system. We feel good for eating them, and it brings up our mood (especially chocolate). This sugary reward could be a reduction to craft timers, as the tedium of making things is forgotten for a time as your brain and mouth are enjoying the effects of eating the sweets.
  8. I'll grab the unstable when I get home and let you know.
  9. Odd, I just installed Windows XP and it had 3D support with the drivers from Acer, so apparently It does have the capacity. So, with Ubuntu back on the netbook, 3D works and magically Wurm is working! The reason I am on the netbook is because my PC and laptop both died almost the same day. I was very unhappy for days. Of course, right now I only get about 7-12 fps on the very minimal settings, but at least I can play.
  10. Hello, I have an Acer 250D netbook, and sadly, its now my only computer as my main PC and my laptop both died on almost the same day with different issues. I want to play, but my poor little netbook has no video card for 3D acceleration. I found this older program called 3D Analyzer which I can get WoW to run with, but Wurm can't because 3D Analyzer needs an exe or batch file to start with. As Wurm runs from a jnlp file, the analyzer can't figure the thing out. Now, I tried to make a batch file to call the .jnlp, but apparently I failed at this, because the program simply locked up and did nothing. I am currently running Ubuntu linux on my netbook for the low resource calls it makes to the system, but will re-install XP if I have to. What I would like is making a batch file (right now, my batch calls START /home/Desktop/wurmclient.jnlp) that would work and call the right files, or turn the jnlp into an exe that can launch Wurm properly. I hope someone in the community can help, and sorry if I posted this in the wrong place.
  11. Wild stays or goes, makes no difference to me. Should be up to Rolf to decide, not us. But the people on Wild (I have been one of them) are there for the pvp, or risk of pvp. They like the danger. Offering a trip to Freedom with their stuff if the server gets shut down makes no sense, wilders don't want pve. Listen, we already have people on Epic with over 70's in skills already thanks to the skill gain and whatever else happens, so that "fresh start" everyone wanted with Epic is now gone in a matter of weeks. Guess what, like it or not, but Epic is now the vets and newbies. What should be done then is not to offer transfers to the Freedom cluster, but to Epic. Let the people who like pvp head to a more populated pvp server if they want. Let them take their stuff. They won't be happy on any Freedom server and sending them there makes no sense to me. with this solution, the pvp discussion and what happens to wild won't affect Freedom, which is the concern of the Freedom players.
  12. I too like the new grass... as a wilderness style grass. But is there any way to get a "mow" the grass to make it look shorter and neater? My deed looks like I've been neglecting it with all this waist high grass. I had to grin about this at first. All us OCD-types... But thinking it through, this in fact could be a very subtle but still well-working incentive for f2p to prem up. I don't know exactly how it could be implemented (rightclick on ground, choose grasstype? Because not all deeds everywhere would/should be mown either...) - but if it is codable to put (the possibility for) mown grass on deedground in; while off-deed property will always show only this new 'wild' type... then there will be a clear visual difference between deeds (prem-perk) and non-deeds (often f2p); and certainly on the non-pvp servers aesthetics do play an important role for many, so there's your incentive (another, very mild, but possible quite strong too, incentive to 'also want it like that'). So I think making a suggestion for this in the suggestions-forum might be a good thing actualy. Yeah, one problem with that is, this is a medieval world. What are you mowing your lawn with?
  13. Wurm will look vastly different after that update. All of us older players will feel like we're in another game for a bit.
  14. Massive desert

You do realize the scale of the map, right? The desert, or any terrain, could at most be a couple kilometers wide. Hardly great or a deasert. More like a big beach.
  15. Huh? All I read in the OP was "I want everything for nothing."
  16. Really? Does every topic that's started about Wild and pvp have to end up as a flame war, finger-pointing off-topic rage thread? Can you pvpers ever have a discussion about a topic without going off on some rant about some other thing? This was about how to address the gate-hopping isse. I suggested a mechanic that would help curb such activity. It just made sense to me. Please, for once, keep your accusations and drama out of the discussion. And if you don't like a suggestion, post why you don't, so we can see your point, not just a bland "-1". That's hardly constructive.
  17. I'm sorry I even mentioned battering rams, because this turned into a bashing discussion, which was not my intention. What the new door mechanic was for pvp, not raiding. There are more times where one or two players are trying to have a battle and the defenders use gate hopping, right? This wasn't a topic to help siege.
  18. I keep reading about the abuse of gate hopping and was wondering why we have modern, automatic doors that sense our approach. To help curb gate-hopping, how about a new mechanic?: Doors (all doors) need to be used to open and close (on Wild only perhaps, and probably only when an enemy is in local to cut down on annoying door use). Get to a door/gate, right click on it and select "unlock", then it takes a second for the door/gate to unlock, then select "open" and the door/gate takes another second to open (except mine doors, this could vary). Once open, anyone could enter or leave, its an open door. Once through, anyone can close it by right clicking the door and selecting close, which requires another second to slam it shut and the person with the key/writ another second to lock it. If anyone is in the doorway when the closing is attempted, the door will not close and a contest of strength takes place betweenn the closer and the person barring the door. If the person barring the door wins the contest, they cannot close the door. Others can help either way with this contest by either standing in the doorway (up to 2 people, its a doorway, but perhaps you can right click on a person in the doorway standing behind them and select "help push") and closing the door. Lastly, battering rams for locked doors and gates as well as allowing the option for someone to "shoulder bash" the door could be implemented. Huge axes could also be used to hack away at a house or any wood door easier than the walls. With that in mind, we should have "togher" door options for buildings such as "iron bound door" and perhaps "stone door" and "iron door". Thoughs?
  19. This topic rises again and again. Steppe or Tundra. What it boild down to is those that hunt want an easy time seeing their prey (if there is any, more times than not, the steppes are hunted out and barren). So really its all about person X geting upset at person Y for impeding on their preferred play style. Steppe isn't magical and more creatures are in the woods because the "lazy" hunters don't want to move through the trees. If you place rules where one can and cannot build then this stops being a sandbox.
  20. Better question is: When are we getting demons to fight in game? That would be awesome!
  21. Harpoons

Well, I saw how deadly hard hits slapped and irritated it. Its a shark, not a rhino.
