  1. Finding a willing woman is the hard part.
  2. There is no decay or next to no decay on food in a food bin as far as I know. You just loose a small portion every month iirc.
  3. Sound like good idea. Thre's too many places where there's just a few left overs which just won't go away. They ruin the wilderness feel.
  4. It floors me that people can't seem to use the search function. This has been suggested before and wasn't received well back then either. A lot of people enjoy the large feel of wurm. http://wurmonline.com/forum/index.php?topic=33986.0 (Not even 2 months ago) I am one of these. If I want to be able to zip from one end of the world to another in under 10 minutes there's plenty of other games to play. And for trading. There's likely never going to be a huge market in Wurm for some simple reasons: - small amount of players, so not much demand, - with enough time you can make or get it yourself or a friend can.
  5. The truest thing said yet in this thread. The opinion of everyone matters. That makes no sense. For Wild: I fail to see why people who don't even play on the server which is involved should need a vote. It has no effect on them. For GV: Non-paying should not get a vote at the same level as a paying customer. At max their vote should count as a 5th or 10th of a premium vote. Personally I'd say no vote at all. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So how would the decay work then for the non-prems? Freedom does not have the decay like GV which means within notime shacks would be everywhere and these wouldn't disappear within a few days if left alone. There's a lot of stuff which would have to be put on paper, worked out and coded. Personally I'd like the no-prems on their on server. THat way they can't effect the paying player base for good or bad. Cause you can be sure there would be bad stuff a plenty and that's what people will remeber not the few good things.
  6. -1 Working up skill can take months. If you honoustly want to convince someone to give up months of work the reward would have to be extremely high. And an extermly high reward would lead to unbalancing / whining issues.
  7. I'll adjust my opinion here a bit indeed. Traits is too much text. Gender and weeks due seems better
  8. Another addition could possibly be that this could only be build within a certain range of a deed, depinging on the deed size. E.a. A size 10 deed can have lamp autolighted (due to the presence of an enchants or some other item) with a 25 tile range around the deed (perimeter counts towards the 25). A size 30 deed would have this range set to 75. Another option would be to use the amount of citizens as factor instead of deedsize.
  9. I wish you good luck then on the endaviour.
  10. Nice idea not sure on the skill level tho maybe at lower skill (30) would be nice, a farmer can already tell what a field is at 15 and slopes (digging) are at 15 too.
  11. Some people like making hundreds of armor, do we clad our cattle in armor now? On a more serious note, just because we have the lamps doesn't mean they should be autolighted. The only other thing I coul think of besides enchants to do this would be a lamplighters house (new item). Takes up a tile, and needs x amount of food and liquids dropped off at regular interval of 1 or 2 Wurm weeks.
  12. There's nothing stopping you from doing this. You can already do this, get someone to premium (either by having him pay himself or you paying for him). Have a set of tasks ready for him and pay more when it's done. There is no need for any of this to be coded into the game which seems to be your wish (or is it just something you want to try out, not 100% clear). IMO spending time on coding this is time wasted. Time which could be spend getting new things in which can't be done without game mechanics. Don't advise this without telling them what a deed does however. If you merely tell them what you find wrong about the deed system they would not get the full pciture about them which could lead them to making a choice they regret later. You may find it a waste of money others find it good because of the security you get from it. And if you didn't tell everything and they ge their stuff nicked and find out the rest about a deeds working the one they will be coming to for answer / payback is you. This just sounds so horrible wrong.
  13. 1. Players should not hold power like this period. This would lead to a whole new level of griefing. (This time it was your cattle, now imagine a few players decide to remove you from the game just because they can) It's something to be decided by mods/devs. 2. No thanks, I prefer some space between my deed and my neighboors deed thank you.
  14. + 1 Both nice suggestions. The speed can also be a pain when trying to moor a ship. E.a. going top speed in a gale with in a cog can give the "you are too far away to moor" message, kinda annoying.
  15. -1, perimeter is not owned, so you have no rights over the land, or anything on it. If you build anything on it (with exception of a house) you are merely the builder, NOT the owner of it.
  16. Loose the timers and mainly rely on drops? Hmm can only think of several games with this crafting setup. Do we really want to make Wurm number "god knowns how many" that uses this system? Why not just let it be so it stand out with crafting. Sure it could use a bit of polishing perhaps on certain areas, but please let's not make crafting like every other game out there.
  17. Instant travel has a huge impact on gameplay. It may seem like a small change but, it's a change at the very heart of the gameplay. It has an effect on every aspect. This is why I would have to say no. It has the potential to destroy the gameplay or improve it but I have only witnessed the first one in other games I've played. It's a huge gamble
  18. Another thing which might help with this overpopulation is putting a cap on the time that can be spend on GV. This would get rid of the crowd permanently living on GV. Seriously if you need more than a month to decide if you want to play premium, you pretty much already decided it's a no. Of couse some exceptions would exist like PA, CM, GM. But other than that move on or move out.
  19. Maybe limit the spawn (or teleport area) of said ghost accounts to deeds with active members (have paid premium at that time). Give them the ability to jump to another deed once every day (or week, etc). Then implement a hard border for example max 10 tiles out of the perimeter. This gives them an idea of what can be done on Freedom (this should never be an option on Wild) without being able to scout a nice new location etc. Also they should not be able to: - see any chat, - interact with the world, - interact with other players. Basicly it should be like they are not even there at all. This limits them immensely but the goal of letting them see what can be done on Freedom is obtained nonetheless. *edit* Perhaps a choice for the major of any village should be able to add/remove their deed from the visitable list*/edit*
  20. +1 Would be nice if this is added. Don't have to look throught all the barrels and such standing around.
  21. Like Tealc said.... run Wurm for a little to make sure it's alll working on your pc of choice and then move premium asap. I stuck around on GV far too long and coming to Freedom just made me realize how much I was missing on GV
  22. +1 for this idea I saw a lot of of the "if you can't farm every other day then don't bother" argument. I wonder tho why a casual player should be cut of from an aspect of the game for which he pays the same amount as everyone else. A cusual gamer may get a lot of joy out of farming (for what ever reason) so why not make it more accessable for them? Also if the yields are adjusted when harvesting it would have very little impact on the so called hardcore farmers market (although everyone keeps saying things are abundant already so I wonder how it would affect it at all). Just because it's not needed for people to farm using that as an argument to keep some people out of farming because of time available to play seems off to me.
  23. shaft + 10 large nails. spiked club = good
