*bump* still looking for enchanter

*bump* Little under 2 days to go

Not sure if this this is still a issue but maybe also make them last longer than 5 minutes?

And all logic aside, quit being lazy and just activate the bucket from your inventory. You save one press of a button by tool belting it per action. And if you are out "Harvesting" sap I know dang well you have your inventory already open to sort sap from crap and if you don't you should. Also the only time you have to deactivate the bucket is when you have to Prune and with as long as that action takes you have more than enough time to reactivate your bucket and sort your sap. Hell you'd probably still have zone out time left...
This is assuming everyone cares about the QL of sap they get and they are only harvesting sap atm. I harvested sap this maple season however during that same time I was also actively pruning, sprout collecting and flower collecting.
Saying is laziness goes both ways people who enjoy the content selection don't want to make more clicks either.
I do agree with you that buckets are used as tools and should be reverted to they way they used to work. I guess this is just a unexpected sideresult of a otherwise handy change (if it wasn't I sure wouldn't admit it
)Other containers can keep this behaviour so people can still use d a satchel full of seeds in the belt for easy sowing or a small barrel for pegs, etc.

Minimum bid: 50s
Minimum bid increase: 1s
The start price is based on 2c per QL for gems of 0-2 or 10+ Ql and 4c for gems of 3-9. Those prices have been used quite a lot except maybe the price for 3-9.
Auction runs till 2 march 2012, 21:00 gmt
This auction is pickup only and includes 5 sachels for transport. The only delivery that would be made is on the east coast closest to the island where Elin's Retreat is located ( 61x 10Y) for a potential buyer who is travelling on land.
*edit auction end time*
*2nd edit price buildup added*

I am looking to buy a courier enchant for a mailbox at Elin's Retreat ( 61X 10Y ).
Please list your guaranteed power of the cast together with the price for it. Also a indication of when the job could be fulfilled would be grand

Contact me on the forum or ingame.

+1 way better than the current "lighthouses", could even lead to the release of those poor critters

None of those are a sollution, and only cause more problems. But I have a sollution: have 5 tiles perimeter, so comfortable roads can be build and everyone wanting to pass through can. This causes a lot less problems and work for gm's.
5 tiles or 2 tiles doesn't matter that's the point. If the deed holders wall it off you can't pass period. If they do want it to be passable they can easely make it work with 2 tiles if they want (or keep the higher 5 tiles, as said before it should be optional to go down to 1).
Not everyone wants roads throught their perimeter even if you might want it there. And they can stop you from doing so anyway whether they both need to build 1 wall or 5 walls. (They can even try it through the grieving clause in the FCC even it's not a hard rule, they can still show you didn't ask them).
The problem you say which would appear is already present as in you may already have to take a detour as a road is not available at said deeds.
-
1 tile would be more than enough. You can easely pass on 2 tiles of terrain.
As to the subject of roads if you can't fit in there you just have to find another way around. (Even more so if one or both deed owners do not want one there).
No 2 tiles isn't enough. You can't terraform on 2 tiles when both deeds have walls. Those 2 tiles would/could/will be horribly deformed and impossible to walk on.
You can still get through can't you? Just not as quick as with terraformed terrain.
Worst case scenario you can't get through due to running out of stamina while climbing and you will have to find another route.
/*edit*/
If the deed owners don't want you to pass/terraform etc they can just as easely wall the area off. (make it an enclosure attached to the deed(s)).
If they do want people to be able to pass they will make the 2 tiles or at least 1 work.
Either way there is not much you can do about it whether it is 10 tiles or 2.
-
Perimeter is always going to exist and needs to be 5 tiles for each village so when next to each other there is still 10 tiles between to allow passage and for the building of roads. This is absolutely necessary on the Freedom Isles to reduce land arguments. I can see a desire on Epic to make a more solid configuration, but it likely reduces arguments about land use there too.
1 tile would be more than enough. You can easely pass on 2 tiles of terrain.
As to the subject of roads if you can't fit in there you just have to find another way around. (Even more so if one or both deed owners do not want one there).

As for making stews, I think they may require a pottery jar to be made; so if a bowl doesn't work try using a jar.
=Ayes=
Stews can be made in frying pans or bowls.
In a frying pan fish + meat is stew.
Can't recall in bowls from the top of my head.

How bout a option to remove the perimeter so some of us can get max deed size (meaning are deed will border another deeds perimeter).
This would cause problem with deeds that are adjecent. Which deed would be the border right between both deeds?
A deed would need at least 1 tile of perimeter. I personally don't mind if you can forfeit the 4 additional tiles of free perim as long as it is optional.

[23:26:13] improved with a rock shards.
Not sure if it was already mentioned already but for all masonry imping it's either:
- improved with some rock shards
or:
- improved with a rock shard

rolf nerfed the spams rate of stronger creature way too much on inde. it became rare to see troll, scorpion, croc and lava, spider. it getting boring to kill wolf, spider and bear all the time and it hard to raise FS higher that 70
At the deed my friends and I have we see crocs on a near daily basis. We also see several spiders (both types) and bears a week. So you might just be having some really crappy luck or the areas you look are not the best ones.

People can't buy sleep bonus with 7 copper,
People can buy SB with ingame currency, not with 7 copper but they can. Now you're just trying to find a way against a valid argument against this suggestion by acting a gamemechanic doesn't work the way it does.
Would take extended / multiple downtimes but it would at some point be enough.
this is the suggestion forum. If you're not interested in suggestions, don't read it.
If you're not interrested in arguments against suggestion you like, don't read / endorse the suggestion.
-
Because I'm sure it will be argued: This isn't OMGWTF game breaking, needs to be fixed now or we're all doomed, it's a suggestion, this is the suggestion forum. I love receiving 5 hours of sleep bonus as much as the next guy, but it doesn't make sense on a PvP server that a limited number of people get such things whilst others do not. It is not even, it is not fair, servers do not crash equally. Stop making this topic Jagan vs. You, who cares if Jagan is biased? Look at the suggestion.
First reason against suggestion:
The only suggestion your opinion support then is the complete removal of any kind of compensation?
Cause we can't give player A coin and not player B, that would bring imbalance as well cause he could buy SB with the money he gets. This suggestion won't fix anything it just moves the problem to another spot.
Second reason against suggestion:
SB can be obtained for free by logging of in a bed. This can be done easely. Getting coin into the game without paying RL money can only be done in small amount by praying. (coin changing hands, gained from draining, etc is already payed / prayed for).
Introducing this kind of system would indeed hurt Rolfs income.
As said before be glad you get anything. The only way to make it 100% balanced is by removing any compensation from PvP servers and shutdown all pvp server when a single one crashes. And I am pretty sure the majority of players will not find such a scenario desirable.
*edit spelling*
-
Of course, everyone keep ignoring that someone who didn't miss out on it says it's imbalanced*.... All anyone has to say is 'you're butthurt'..... Well done, ladies.
As said by other before it all evens out eventually. If not within a month then within a year.
You know how much SB you get when the server goes down for 4 days? 5 hours and if you already had 5 hours (from logging of in a bed which every one knows they should always try to do) you get nothing.
Just because someone didn't get it this time doesn't mean he won't get it next. The worst thing about his complaint:
He is crying because he got to play the game. He wants the cake and eat it.
Something a few people seem to ignore/ forget/ not realize that.
Also Rolf doesn't need to give anything. He does this to lessen the annoyance of the players when a server goes down. The only thing this suggestion would accomplish if Rolf decided to change it would mean you never ever get SB again for downtime and what a victory would that be.

Please try to inform yourself before inventing non existant "abuses".
Still I hardly consider boat speeds fixed unless someone can confirm that you move faster than 1km/h in corbitas/cog in bad winds.
You do when they are full. Big boats arent supposed to be for one person.
If big boats weren't meant for one person Rolf would have made it a requirement to have x amount of passengers.
Playability beats realism at times and speeds on boats is one of those areas. If we went for realism here a cogs would require a lot more people to sail than the few people it can carry now.
-
Optional would be best like you can select experimental package or not. Selected at startup which I'd assume to be the easiest way.
I'd rather not see development time being but into RL religious things for Wurm. It doesn't add anything to the game which is enjoyed by everyone. Even worse some people will get offended by having things from a different religion pushed onto them.

I understand you want to enable selected people to build in your perimeter but this has the potential to cause more issues than it would solve.
I assume to whole reason behind this in the first place is that you can't deed over buildings you don't have the writ for.
Let's assume you allow Jack allows Pete to build in his perim. Pete build an awesome stone house of QL 90. Now Pete stops logging into Wurm. Jack can not expand his deed now and won't be able to for quite some time.
Sure it's Jack own fault you could say but we all know that at one point or another some one or mutiple people will start complaining about this.
So like others said, build a house for them (isn't it possible for them to help when on the writ). Or have them build right outside of perim. This is a feature which is working as intended, let's not break it

Hi,
I seriously can't care less about a reduced speed when going backwards on a horse. After the update where the mobs got their machine gun attacks it was quite comfortable to be able to retreat backwards at full speed, especially given that a lot of Wurms landscape (on Independence) isn't this much riding-friendly.
For instance, even a single young troll can get us down to nearly death in a single attack when hitting well. Harm - hurt - damage - damage, red screen edges. Happens not this often for normal young trolls, but regularly for advanced versions. We'll now have to be very careful to always have our horse in the correct direction for a quick escape, riding backwards doesn't work anymore.
Needing to be more careful about how and where you fight is not a bad thing, neither in PVE nor PVP. Most games try to implement this and with good reason.
This makes fighting in PVE at least a little bit about using some tactics / situational awareness (which pretty much wasn't required at all).

Similar ridiculous as getting eaten by a little cave bug when you're a newbie?
Similar ridiculous as needing a mallet to finish your unfinished mallet?
Similar ridiculous as monsters racing most steep slopes up and down at full speed, and hit you 4 times in a single second?
Don't come with realism in a game offering drakes, various magical schools and supernatural resurrection should you die.
I know realism will always be leading but it really doesn't hurt trying to strive for more realism.
Isn't it just one more nerf caused by some vocal PvP ppl, effectively hurting the vast majority of PvE paying customers? Does it improve the game play of the vast majority of paying players in any way? Does it add to the happiness of the vast majority of paying players, thus adding to the success of the game?
Or is it just another brick in the wall, making it less and less attractive to spent further money, for the overwhelming number of PvE players that are paying for the development of this game?
I am a PVE player and I seriously can't care less about a reduced speed when going backwards on a horse. I mean really you can just turn it around and get full speed.
The only time it may cause trouble is if you get ganked by a ton of mobs and turning would take too long.
PS: Rolf should finally set up a test server to ensure that things like this turning madness wouldn't hit the life servers.
This is something he really should do. Although testing stuff on the test server probably needs to be made more tempting as I read that it's need visited much when needed.

Why not roleplay the bed using cloth even though an ingame fur is used?
It a gamemechanic which is easely roleplayed around, and doing such a thing isn't uncommon.
I understand it would be nice if it was adjusted but it would mean a complete redesing of the recipe for beds.
Besides food/drinks I don't think there is anything in game which can be made with different components (different ore type or wood type works but I can't make a mallet out of metal).

Gems from Surface Mining?
in Suggestions & Ideas
Posted
I have not seen any gems from SM while terraforming my deed and I have mined between 3000+ rock shards. Seems to me that's either a really really small chance or none at all. (*edit* or i am going senile and i got 1 or 2 but i can't remember getting one at all *edit*)
When I mine regular veins or tiles underground it usually doesn't take all that long to see one.
