  1. NOTE TO PEOPLE IN THE FUTURE WHO MAY FIND THIS: Alright, the problem, apparently, was that my computer/launcher/java/whatever did not know how to add the version number to the web address to download resources, so it couldn't even download 3/4 of the files. I ended up using the "downloading for slow connections" method (pinned post in this sub), manually downloading the files and launching it in java, and it works. I apologize if this has been resolved elsewhere, I've done extensive searching but haven't found a solution. I've downloaded the client file, but every time I try to run it/install, it says "Unable to launch the application". Sometimes the bar will get to about 30% (at the "verifying application" stage) before briefly flashing "failed to download application" and going to the aforementioned notice, or sometimes the bar doesn't show up at all at it skips right to the notice. I've tried reinstalling Java. I've also tried going to the javaws thing and deleting Wurm from the list, but it never shows up in the certificates area, possibly because I've never actually been able to complete installion or fully launch the client. Any help? If necessary, from the details from the client, here is the listed "exception": com.sun.deploy.net.FailedDownloadException: Unable to load resource: (http://www.wurmonlin...colladabind.jar, 1.0.0) at com.sun.deploy.net.DownloadEngine.actionDownload(Unknown Source) at com.sun.deploy.net.DownloadEngine._downloadCacheEntry(Unknown Source) at com.sun.deploy.cache.ResourceProviderImpl.getResourceCacheEntry(Unknown Source) at com.sun.deploy.cache.ResourceProviderImpl.getResourceCacheEntry(Unknown Source) at com.sun.deploy.cache.ResourceProviderImpl.getResource(Unknown Source) at com.sun.javaws.LaunchDownload$DownloadTask.call(Unknown Source) at java.util.concurrent.FutureTask$Sync.innerRun(Unknown Source) at java.util.concurrent.FutureTask.run(Unknown Source) at java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor.runWorker(Unknown Source) at java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor$Worker.run(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source) And the "wrapped exception": java.io.IOException: missing version response from server at com.sun.deploy.net.DownloadEngine.actionDownload(Unknown Source) at com.sun.deploy.net.DownloadEngine._downloadCacheEntry(Unknown Source) at com.sun.deploy.cache.ResourceProviderImpl.getResourceCacheEntry(Unknown Source) at com.sun.deploy.cache.ResourceProviderImpl.getResourceCacheEntry(Unknown Source) at com.sun.deploy.cache.ResourceProviderImpl.getResource(Unknown Source) at com.sun.javaws.LaunchDownload$DownloadTask.call(Unknown Source) at java.util.concurrent.FutureTask$Sync.innerRun(Unknown Source) at java.util.concurrent.FutureTask.run(Unknown Source) at java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor.runWorker(Unknown Source) at java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor$Worker.run(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source) The top of the details window says "Unable to load resource: (http://www.wurmonlin...colladabind.jar , 1.0.0) EDIT: Upon further reflection, I think the issue is, as it rather obviously stated in the last line of the OP, it can't find colladabind.jar. When I try to go there, it 404's. So... it needs to be put back up? I dunno.
