  2. I've been putting off getting WU since I've been putting a lot of time/$ into my WO deed. But, I just got paid and I have a few extra dollars burning a hole in my pocket. So, why not? Some of those sped up servers look like fun.
  3. How long does the Halloween theme usually last? I completely failed at taking screenshots this morning. I was pressing PrintScreen and not F11 or whatever the capture key is.

  6. Did you have cream in another container? I didn't get chance to test it, but I swore it just automatically combined with some cream that I had in another bowl. I may be mistaken, but just throwing it out there.
  7. Thanks for the the info. I figured most of that stuff out already since I was cooking until the wee hours of the night, lol. I was just wondering how people were managing their screens. I Just work better with a ton of windows to transfer things across easily. I have the forge, my inventory and piles of stuff. I just found out that could use "open" for some reason my sleepy mind completely missed that.
  8. A few questions: How does the sushi table work? Also how is everyone managing cooking? So far I've been putting some pottery bowl in a "pile of stuff", then I have a my buckets of stuff (oil, water, etc) in my inventory and moving stuff around like that so I have two or three windows open and it works better for me. Is there a better way to do this? Thanks

  10. I'm not sure if I was doing something wrong, but when I needed to make cooked rice, it kept suggesting that I add rice. I think I had 1.00 water and like rice x 34 when I gave up. Same thing happened when I tried to make a recipe that needed cornflour. Also, how does testing work? I understand we are getting the bugs out. But, will the recipes be different by the time this feature hits the live server? The way we are going, a good chunk (if not all!) of the recipes would be discovered by then.

  13. My frist day back I had 2 hell hounds, 3 wolves and 1 bear in my village. I haven't seen anything since. Plus, last night, I fell asleep playing (had the laptop on my lapdesk in bed.) and I woke up and was still alive. I was actually surprised since I was just standing in the woods.

  17. I'm on Xenadu in the Ashorn Cleft village, R20 if I remember correctly. Yea, I stay on deed alot. I attack stuff after the guards get there. lol.
  18. I like the sounds of a battleaxe or something. I will see if I can make one or buy one. Just the account is old. I signed up a long ago, but never really got to play. And when I did, I was in a huge newbie camp and someone else did all the hunting. So, I was free to do all the non-combat stuff I wanted with relatively no fear of mobs.   20. Thanks for the replies And I'm not trying to make it into a science, I just go do it as you said, but repeatedly dieing and having to look for your corpse becomes annoying, you know? There's nothing wrong with asking for tips to figure out what I'm doing wrong. Like, if I had read a little bit before, I would have had 20 longsword by now. I had no idea that I could chop trees with that thing.
  21. My brain just isn't wired for combat. My reaction time is really slow for some reason and my sweet semi-newbie smell must attract all the hardest mobs. I buried myself about 5 times last play session while in my village. Anyway, I found this thread with some great tips on learning to fight. I really want to so I can explore and actually return home with loot instead of return by respawn. That thread is from 2013, so I just want to see if there was much to be added with it. Plus, I had some questions. Does burying corpses still attract mobs? Do fences keep out mobs? I've had a cute little seal wander up, but also several hell dogs or whatever they are. Is archery a good skill for someone like me? I would like to hunt, but I'd rather stay far away from the action. Using the tips in that above thread, I can work my weapon skills, though.

  24. Paypal now offers an option to load money, by buying a load card. You can get it from must drug stores and I guess grocery stores, as well. It costs $3.95, but if you load up a few months of game time at a time, it's not that expensive. So, now you don't have to hook up your accounts to paypal.
