    I am looking to create additional content for WU and will need some one to point me in the direction to start modding for WU. I would like to add new assets for walls/Housing/farming/ect. where should I start. which tools are going to work for asset creation/editing. Where should I start with learning to import and verify with WU assets. Any Help and advice is much appreciated.

    Any update on whether or not an official tutorial for the mission ruler is getting created or is anyone willing to work on trying to make one. Tutorial and or documentation or forum post or whatever, this post is the only thing I can find as of now on this for Wurm.

    you can create every "gift" given that is in the server, which I believe goes all the way back to WUrm in its infancy Gold Days. I have seen the spy glass, bag of holding, and all other gifts all the way up to the last gift which was the yule tide goat. Just need to be a GM to spawn them.

    if your a gm you can create rivers and lake easily. just right click on the tile goto special, change terrain, and click on 0-hole. ( WARNING!! until you reset server it will create a empty space that WILL kill you or anything else that walks onto it.) Now reset the server, and BINGO! you have a water tile. do this in tandem to create rivers and lake or what ever you want. Just make sure to restart server when your done.

    SERVER IS DOWN 

     

    We are having some technical issues with the server at the moment and are in the process of getting this issue resolved, I apologized that this is stopping you from playing the game but am working as fast as possible to get this resolved. I will keep you updated as this issue works it self out.

    Maybe he's talking about Spy Protection? When someone on the same IP tries to use multiple clients, it tells them someone of a different kingdom is already playing on the server.

    I have had this happen but i just waited for the timer and it was no problem. It doesn't happen every time, I log in on the main then use the batch and start the client again and log in to steam. Once it try's to connect it either just sits there like it cant connect or stops working or it tells me that my IP is already in use. The weird part is that I have gotten it to work but then after 2 minutes or so the first client I was playing crashes like it was booted from the server.

    If you do not post here on this thread, then you will have to wait until the next monthly cycle to get your character added to the currency distro list. I apologize for any inconvenience this causes you, however this is the only way I can make sure no one is abusing the system. This will be automated in the future but for now this is how it works.

    Sever Update 10/28:

     

    Unique Boss Creatures spawned: Forest Giant, Red Dragon, Green Dragon, Black Dragon. King Maker Items hidden in the world.

     

    Map changes to terrain outside Litocanic to allow easier passage for new players entering and leaving town.

    I can spawn a big blue block with colored lines on it that is under the name of water mark, I thought it was a water mark to set on the tile so that when a well is placed it would auto fill with water. However when you spawn it, it pops out there above ground and is ugly and breaks immersion of the game. 


     


    First question: is that what the water mark is?


     


    Second question: if so is there a way to place it under the tile or how am I supposed to use it?

    The intention of this guide was not to give people a way to allow their friends to play on their own copy of the game. If people choose to do that then yes, it would be definitely be a grey area for matter of discussion. But using my method described in the original post for the owner of the steam account to run multiple copies of their own game is not a violation of the Steam subscriber agreement.

    exactly this topic was not about that, and it would be way easier to take the WO client and redirect it to the WU server than to try and 'double play' an steam account.

    ok I accidentally created a hole ..how do I remove it or cover it??      See Below


     


     


    ok just so others can know this.


     


    made a hole with E wand. Was ugly and empty at first..walked into it to see what happens...I died. Went back and there was no way to click on this great ugly square of emptiness..so did a restart with server in maintenance mode. Came back and it turned it into a water tile.


     


    So Holes become Water tiles after server restart.
