  1. So are bridges. And hopefully player-only boards Won't make a difference sadly.
  2. The devs can't fix the game, what makes you think they are going to spend time on something as trivial as these forums?
  3. Says the guy who posts 5 times as often. Get a clue bubba. This is the internet, not a restaurant parking lot. The amount of effort expended to try to save some poor soul who is about to spend money and time on this game, not knowing what kind of headache it is, amounts to about 5 minutes a week.
  4. Paying money isn't a good reason to be a jerk, but it sure does allow one to voice an opinion, however unpopular that opinion might be, and it affords one the right to criticize the product. Rolf rarely comments on any thread other than the ones he starts himself, so I doubt any critical posts are even looked at, much less acted on by the developer/s. And why should he, when he has such a loyal base of fanboys, like yourself Othob, who readily denounce any person that shows the slightest contempt for the devs for bilking the customers with such a shoddy product.
  5. I realize that one of my recent posts cut a little deep. I apologize if the truth hurts. However, I don't think I've bashed anyone, or this game. In issuing my opinions, I may have pointed out some shortcomings, with respect to the game and what I like to call the fanboys. They are strictly my opinions; and this being a forum, naturally, I thought this the place to post them. For the time being, I am afforded that privilege here. You don't have to like my opinions Pot, much like I don't like some of yours, and that is your privilege. With that said, I agree with you wholehearted on the idea of having forum accounts tied to premium accounts and the ability to post on these forums...or at the very least, certain sections of these forums. I don't think it will solve any of the problems you personally have with me, or some of the others you mentioned by name in your OP. It will however keep the forums cleaner for prospective players, only so long as they stay a prospective player and don't actually view the "premium" forums. Unfortunately, there will be countless people who will simply go premium just to post on the forums. If you have any doubt that this will happen, just ask anyone who has played the game that comes with the WWIIOL forums. Just a few things you might want to consider if this idea is to be put into action. It would be better if there were some open forums that people can access in case they run out of premium, or have technical issues and can't actively log in. I'd keep the Official Buildings forums open so people can check on updates to the game. New Player Questions might be another good one to keep open for those just getting a taste of the game and not yet premium. And I'd keep the whole Maintenance Buildings forums open as well. The rest of the forums can be closed off. And when I say closed off, I mean unreadable. If you think I am bad impression on a prospective player, just imagine what someone thinks when they get their first glimpse of the shenanigans in the Wild forums.
  6. I wonder how many lurkers out there are like me. People just hanging around waiting to see if there is a full reset to make the game worth coming back to.
  7. This is why I stated in another thread that this game doesn't seem like it wants to succeed so much as it just kind of wants to exist. And yes, that is quite fine. Actually, that is the perfect paradigm to follow for any business that is happy with keeping the lights on and nothing else. That is exactly the perception one gets after spending a year or two of time wasted on Wurm. This game doesn't have customers really. It's more like a group of shareholders in a company that gets by with keeping it's head just above the waterline. The amount of "bad animations, bad graphics, constantly changing nerfing buffing bugged updates" one is willing to put up with and still pay to play, is directly proportional to how long one has played the game. And that attribute is worn like a badge of honor by those I like to call fanboys. That's mainly because they know they can't justify how much time and money they've spent on this game to someone who woke up long before they did and got out of it. That's why you always see the usual suspects chiming in on threads like this. The only problem is they are trying to convince themselves that it's ok to still be paying to play this game. Hence the reason I like to lurk these forums. It's just too much fun.
  8. Half of the problem with this game is the arrogant fanboys that refuse to see anything wrong with the game. The other half of the problem is the developer who does nothing but listen to the fanboys stroke his ego. Easy solution to having lurkers on the forums twisting up the fanboy panties? Eliminate forum accounts unless you are subscribed. Otherwise, get used to us lurkers.
  9. That's because we still had that stench of noob floating around us...'twas all new back then. If this game wasn't a total waste of time when it comes to getting involved in PvP, it might have something that could hold people's attention. Sadly, most are left wandering around the lands forever trying to catch that carrot on the end of the stick. I would kill for a crafting system like Wurm, melded with the PvP system of WWIIOL. That way the crafting system can be a support structure for the war effort instead of being the basis for it.
  10. I think the problem lies in the fact that people are just simply getting tired of paying for a game in which the tag line is, "it's what you make of it". Wurm...it's the anti-Zombo.
  11. Why I am done

Typical good-bye posting, with the usual reasons on leaving the game. Typical responses by the usual suspects. It seems to me that this game just simply trudges along, instead of actually trying to make a go at being a success.
  12. I like the idea, but instead of tying it to established/capital cities, or population centers, make those crafting bonuses dependent on citizens within the village. Just eliminate the need for population to play a part. If your town has a [MASTER], then your village gets the crafting bonus. Maybe even just dole out the bonus per craft as well. And make it use the parent skill too.
  13. Just doing my weekly check in to see if Epic has any new news and I stumbled on this gem. Hey Z, everyone in this thread is just blowing smoke up your rear end bubba. You know and I know that your OP was spot on. The best thing you can do right now is wait for Epic like the rest of the OT guys that came over at the same time. Quit p1ssing away money on this game for now, and hit the streets for summer time. Let these old farts trade drake sets and high end accounts and go enjoy some recreational time with some friends.
