    Is there any way to prevent connections to the servers that have any mods? I believe Wurm Online does a check on the client when it connects to the server. Couldn't that be used on WU?

    So far I left all the settings Vanilla. I want to keep the experience as close as possible to WO. However, im always open to suggestions as I want the server to be successful and have as many ppl as possible. The intent is to have more than one server linked to each other. We can have a pvp one and pve one, or a different setup as requested/needed by the pops. Given that the host is a Virtual Server I can assign all the resources I want to it. The physical machine has 20 cores and currently only has 60GB of Ram with the 12 slots still open for more sticks. short, resources are not a problem. I will admit I need help with the management side of it as Im not very familiar with the GM commands. P.S. What is ESP?

    Hey my Ebonaura brothers and sisters and fellow Wurmians. I created a dedicated server for Wurm unlimited and I would love to have you guys play in it and shape the land. It is running on a 20 core server with plenty of RAM and HD space in my house. It is open to anyone and I also need GM's to help out running the server. I have plans to make it a multi server with a freedom style one and a pvp style server like Chaos if we get a good enough player base. The info to join it is below: Server name: Ebonaura IP: 198.57.6.224 As one of Ebonaura's founder I would love to keep the kingdom alive in this server. HMU if you want to have a GM role as well.

  9. I beg to differ. The combat in LIF is way better than Wurm's. You actually have to hit your enemy unlike Wurm dice-throw system. They also have more Devs that provide improvements to the game often so they could make the game better than Wurm in time. So far, I would try it later on when they have added more content since I already have YO and have seen all the aspects of the game as is.
  10. If I come back more than likely it will be to join Ebonaura... However, I have to be briefed on the changes made to the game that would make it worth it to come back. Especially with LIF MMO coming back.
  11. What has changed on Chaos for good or for bad. Is it worth coming back to Chaos? Also, how is Ebonaura doing in terms of influence? PM works if its sensitive information.

  14. Gloria Victis looks pretty good. Combat looks amazing and I love the concept of building the castles. I do agree LIF still needs a lot more, like making buildings tile based like wurm instead of prefab. That kills creativity and also screws up setting up buildings strategically like in Wurm. I would rather continue playing Wurm than start over in another game. But, given that development in this game is pretty much stagnant, I refuse to pay them a monthly fee for nothing in return. And Freedom is a No-Go, thats what WU is for to be a care-bear
  15. Your statement makes no sense whatsoever. This thread was literally made to ###### and complain about changes that we wish they make to the game, and they refuse to make them. So yes, they have "past to work of". But that is EXACTLY the problem, a lot of broken mechanics that they refuse to fix. Anyways, both have plenty of time to work on their flaws, the first one to make a functioning PVP MMO wins.

  19. Only other option I see is as I suggested before, for all the kingdoms on the server to separate from their current kingdoms and start different factions. That way at least there will be more options when it comes to fighting each other w/o always having certainty of winning battles. Maybe each faction gets in agreement and picks an area in the map. Once they have an area assigned, then they have # of days/months to build their capital. Once time is up, S hi t goes down. What do you guys think?
  20. Ok so we agree on those basic points. Now how do we get the devs to actually listen to us. Last time this was done, they literally ended up doing something completely different which took about 5 months to come up with and it is only now being tested. At this point I would be happy if they just push it directly into live servers so we can test it there more efficiently since the test server doesnt have the same conditions as the test server.
  21. You mentioned all the problems and yet no solutions. I believe the thread is made to bounce ideas back and forth... ONCE AGAIN! since the last time it was done it was either ignored or forgotten. My suggestions are... * In order to control an area there has to be a presence in that area. For example a deed with # of players that actively play in it. The more players the deed has, the bigger the area of influence. Tower should only be built within that influence. If land control is affected by the number of people you have it will reflect a more realistic land control this way. Think of it like civilization, a city covers an area depending on pop. * Pops need to be merged in order for PVP to survive. I agree with others suggestions: remove hell horses (seriously) remove rifts (more ###### items to collect) revert archery debuff revert minedoor change remove hota or make it dynamically located Map size is not the problem... (If influence change is made by either tower chaining or deed population based, the current strongest kingdom will have to pull back since they wont have numbers to maintain the land. We should really focus on having constructive arguments while keeping emotions and insults completely out of the conversation.
  22. TBH, if they merge the pops into a new server then I really would have no problem if skills werent affected at all. Maybe give a boost to the people coming from freedom to make it more balanced. But I definitely agree that pops need to be merged in order for PVP to survive. Its not about "reigniting" PVP at this point. If changes are not made im afraid the entire PVP structure will collapse and freedom will be the only surviving thin in WO.
