  1. In the event of the game's population booming (which is very possible, as I plan on sending videos to machinima) a reduction in tiles would seem plausible. A hypothetical situation/end result of a change is all anyone has ever had to base off of a suggestion. Science wouldn't exist without it, so get educated. +1
  2. Delete Norton and get something sensible like MSE or Bitdefender, then enjoy the game.
  3. Hey All

Not too shabby. Looking forward to it.
  4. Hey All

Been working two jobs since Spring and have been kept pretty busy. Any big changes around these here parts?
  5. +1 here, +1 other thread too. Do it, Rolf.
  6. -1 Would suck to have to repair even the tiny little roads I've made.
  7. Shovel -> Right click tile -> Remove stump +1 For all of this. Not to mention would make great fuel for forges.
  8. A walled in deed wouldn't be affected by the dirt settling since it's walled/deeded. I explained that in the original post.
  9. To save your time counting: I got rejected a total of 23 times. I am not saying, that I am the one who has to get it. But other people have been trying just as much as I have, HOTS population isn't too big. Imagine if there wouldn't be as much server reboots, this would be after 23 weeks - not after about 9. And for you people saying, the Emperor isn't important - Ok. Tell Horton abdicate, MR doesn't need a chancellor either, remove all people from offices before. See if it's really not important, if your enemy still has that advantage over you. Of course it doesn't turn someone into a leader, if he isn't willing or able to do so himself anyways, but this is a game and this is an essential feature to a kingdom. HOTS is already the underdog, has a lot less players, with less skilled characters than the other kingdoms have. (in average) And ontop of that, we're missing both fighting bonuses, Emperor giving 3 CR which is 15 fs, Assassin 2 CR, which is 10 fs. Not lame at all. I'll stand by my statements though its interesting how you word it, "hell we even let xxxx try" Still means that there are probably legitimate BLers who wouldn't be allowed, if however you are letting anyone who can't be proven to be an alt have a go then I would retract that part of the statement. If everyone tries but no one gets then Rolf has to review his code and criteria. Perhaps he should log each attempt so he knows how many, when, by whom and which part they fail on. Is there a official bug report? As for MR alts trying for the emperor title. I've already told the ones who have tried it that I don't agree and that they are wrong to go for it. You know my stance about the meta game. You get the leaders you deserve. Its true but I'll say MR were lucky too. Horton became chancellor because he was already a leading figure in MR as mayor of Whosville. LO had failed to retain the chancellorship and offered him an opportunity to try simply because he was passing by at the time and he was already a trusted figure. Dumb luck. But if the kingdom as a whole hadn't started pulling together better then I think we'd have lost him as a leader. He has pushed us and we've responded as a kingdom, thus we've kept him and deserve him. JK seem happy with Pedro as their leader so he's obviously the leader they deserve too. With the duelling mechanisms in place if a kingdom gets a bad leader they can now change it. Having had Taya and now Horton as my leader I know I'd not idly stand by and allow a poor leader to control MR, if I did then I'd deserve that bad leader. Get where I'm coming from now? Once HotS has a new leader then thats the one they deserve. If they feel they deserve better then they can change it. This vice president type stuff is not needed at all, instead I'll try and bug report that the ascension process has problems. In all honesty, anyone can try. One of the walls was taken down for the exact reason you're talking about.
  10. It probably wouldn't be difficult, but the CPU cycles man! Just think of the cycles! There hundreds if not thousands of tiles that would be affected by this if it was implemented, you'd also need to provide time for those who have them intentionally sloped as such to build retaining walls; and in many cases that could involve replanning entire deeds.
  11. Sup, Here's an idea I conjured up one night when I was thinking of ways to rejuvenate the current Wild server. "Dirt Settling" KellyT suggested I call it "Dirt Decay", but that sounds like the dirt is disappearing forever. Okay, so here we have Dark Citadel. An abandoned eyesore on the south eastern portion of wild. Yes this picture is a god damn eyesore too. Brown is Mycelium/Dirt, Black is the flat surfacing, and the RED is the walls/structures that border DC. The way Dirt Settling would work, is that if there is walls or structures on large, pointed, flat slopes like this... it would act as a place mold for the dirt so it would not move. so now you're probably like, "Well wtf stormgay, how is it supposed to work if there's walls." Well, let's get into it. After walls decay and disappear... this would make the dirt "loose". After the dirt becomes "loose", it will begin to settle into a nice happy-medium hill-like balance, and eventually turn into a natural looking hill range after a while. Obviously this would take a LONG while before it started. Months, even; and then even longer to finish. To me this seems like the solution to map resets. Areas that noobs ravish, or places that elders long abandone (like dc) will eventually erode, wear and transform back into a natural habitat.... ....just like in real life. In all honesty I don't think it would be that hard to implement. A simple script that runs to move one dirt from one tile to another. Much like dropping dirt down a hill and having it collect at the bottom. After a nice, dynamic slope elevation is met, the scripts would cease to act and the area would then begin to re-forest and re-mob itself. What do you guys think? Please leave feedback!
  12. Spawning at the lights was a dumb feature to begin with. Same thing as having a base camp that everyone spawn camped in Call of Duty. That system was abused for years until it was finally done away with. For the sake of balance, it better stay that way.
  13. A stone house IS a stone 'brick' house, considering you use BRICKS to make it. /thread
  14. It doesn't work like that at all, broham. Do you even play on wild?
  15. Hey all, suggestion here. BL has been without an Emperor for some time. Kills morale and makes a lot of us doubt if we'll ever have another. Here's where my idea comes into play. The current Leader would select an Assistant (Basically a Vice President) that would take their place when they leave. (Like the last BL emp did.) Shouldn't be that hard to implement. Would just be another "Office" position or whatever it's currently being called. Could have 50% of the bonuses the actual Leader has. Half the power, if you will. Lemme know what you think.
