  1. If its a new PC then it wont have the old logs therefore it wont find the updated stats. Each state has to be registered once to show up. Go groom enough things to get it to show your skill in the log and see if that helps?

  3. Pardon typos n lame wording. On phone. I thought of this before but didnt wanna burden you with it with more work. What about a way for wa to read event lofs of users for harvesting triggers and updating axdata base the client uses to update its output info? Then it will always be live nc accurate as soon as someone harvests successfully.

  5. Alt deed holder is exactly why. I own two deeds. Halcyon Heights and Halcyon Interchange. My main has the deed for Halcyon Heights and is most of my work but I have a no playing alt own interchange. As a result I will never be able to bash the walls on Halcyon Interchange without a catapult (unless this thread works) because not only am I not a paying premium on that alt but he does not have 21str either. I know many people who have multiple deeds in multiple areas. Often happens as an area matures and the older ones leave and the die hards take up more and more land. Even with my Interchange deed. When the new wierd shaped deeds came in. We disbanded the one next to us and stretched the deed to cover over it and then some so the stuff we cared about was all on deed and woudlnt decay. (No 10 tiles of perimiter in between that could be griefed with the deed it or loose it mentality with no longer having protected enclosures.) as a resuilt we deeded under quite a bit of left over fence junk from previous owners and as a result we have a hodge podge of crud fences that cant be bashed by the mayor and wont decay on their own. Have to catapult them someday when we get around to working on that area. Personally I think Mayor's should have all 'sandbox' abilities like bashing fences, destroying buildings, etc., built in regardless of whether or not they are pay. LIke its said. Thats what the upkeep is for. Its gaurenteed income so long as the mayor is the mayor. One could argue that some will not deed certain areas because the fences are too high ql and couldnt be bashed and would take forever or be not possible with a catapult. (too close to water, too high an angle, etc) Where as with these features some could be encouraged to buy a deed to steam roll an area even if they undeed it cc still gets the cash from the deed itself plus I think its 5 minimum from deed upkeep. Where as not having these options the messy areas would go undeeded for even longer until things eventually decayed. And that could take a year or more depending on QL.
  6. So can wurm detect that it was Alt-F4 that was pressed? To get the quit? Or does it only know that quit was registered? If wurm can tell then wurm should fix it but if wurm cant tell then I assume its up to me to fix it. How do I tell one particular program in windows that I want to disable Alt-F4?
  7. Numbers are already used for the current toolbar for improving. pick tool with 1-5, e for improve. Lets me do an imp session completely left handed

  9. Then why does it pop up an ingame window? Obviosly wurm is 'detecting it' enough to give its own pop up, not some windows pop up. All someone would have to do is instead of popping up the wurms pithy logout menues just check if its actually bound to exit and if it is let it through if its not, dont.

  11. Alt-F4 is still hard coded to exit and I could not find a place in the interface to change it to something else. I Use Alt F1-F10 for my skill trackers so every time I do Alt-F4 it loads my 4th skill tracker as well as gives me a do you wish to exit pop up. I know Alt-F4 is the default exit in windows but I know it can be intercepted and reprogrammed. Be nice for the client coder to do so.
  12. Yes. Thank you for the update and all the hardwork you put into it. It is a hard balance between burnout and fun. Even just playing wurm is like that. Let alone going the extra mile like you are. And if job is weighing you down then it can be hard to find the fun in doing something that isnt even remotely barely paid for. :|
  13. I cant volunteer for challenge but I can say that by what I have read of the news in wurm in various places 'officially' the skill curve will be different each time. This round only lasts 1 month and iv heard stories of people reaching 90 in skills in an hour or two. Might have to see if rolf is 'smart' enough to make the scale a factor type thing. 50* epic one month 20* foro 3 months etc. across the board. If he makes it different like skills are 50* but timers are 2*s and the like (which may be necessary) then you could find yourself having to code a whole new section just for challenge for variable things. Might make sense to put WA3 out into beta earlier with a hack supporting that and go from there unless you can think of a way to put it into a beta rewrite of WA2 and port it to WA3 near the end? No idea.
  14. Ahh. Thought of another one. I have triggers for the different results of casting coc/woa so I can hear them without having to read the text which can scroll past pretty fast with my alt grinding something near by. Btw this is a link to a public text to speech synthesizer I use: http://codewelt.com/proj/speak I make voice prompts for everything except alliance chat so that I can keep audible up to date. I have seperate sounds for the end of queue for my different clients so I can switch back and forth between them quickly. Only reason I dont do a voice for alliance is alliance can get pretty fast and if I step out of the room for the first trigger and dont get back in time for the next I can miss the convo even if I use that protection delay you have. So for that I use a medium 'chirp' that just sounds like I have a few birds in the house when it gets going too fast.

Hope can switch between old and beta in the off chance you need to do something 'important' and cant handle a particular bug getting in the way before its fixed. I live off of mainly: End of queue sound. Prayer Timer. Refresh Timer. Enchant Grass Timer. I have a personal timer that tells me when I have used the sleep bonus for 5 minutes (minimum) so I can turn it off again. For triggers I most commonly use: Sound for something in Alliance Chat Sound for something in Local Chat Sound and popup for when I 'find' something whether its through mining or some other way. Sound and popup for when particular skills reach the next threshold. (full point for most, tenth of a point for mining which is at 97.3x at the moment.) Sound effects for various results from prayer. (Took everything from the wiki and made a sound giving me verbal updates on results.) Prayer Timer having 50favor for casting CoC/WoA. I WANT to figure out how to do a timer for planting a sign but I cant for the life of me figure out the timer. It says one week which I have noticed is sometimes a wurm week but then I have gone 24 real hours which is 8 wurm days and it still hasnt been possible. :| Not sure what the trigger is to extend the delay. Sound for inventory full. (For when I am multi clienting and forget to keep track and wonder why nothing is getting done on one of the clients ) I do use log search from time to time. By far best way of doing it as I would have to go find and download some windows version of grep otherwise. I know someday I will use the harvest code. For now I am still building my tree farm. I loved the granger to get me going but now I have an over population of horses that I just keep breeding random 5 speeds and junking the imperfect so I dont 'need' it anymore. Though I would again if I changed farms or started over again like got sick for 6 months and everything died Obviosly you dont need the swappable toolbars anymore. Used that but now its built into wurm. If thats not everything then whatever I missed that I use is so naturaly a part of me now I cant remember lolol. I look forward to whatever awaits! Sadly I'm broke or I'd buy you more beer even though I know the donation thing is no more. You still deserve beer.
  16. So I had a discussion with an alliance mate today about animal pens and enchanted grass and she says that she does all 1x2 pens and has been for forever and barely ever see stomping. Is this pretty much the standard in wurm now? I remember years ago there was a disaster where the enchanted tile decay got sped up for a few hours and like 75% of the tiles were destroyed. Took me over a month to replace them. Back then when I discussed this topic in global most people said they did a minimum of 3 tiles per animal to keep from things being stomped too fast, even enchanted grass. But now I have my main breeding group in 2x3 pens with enchanted. (So that when the baby falls its 2 per 6 tiles) and I have some disposable pens packed full of extra animals that are probably as many as 2 or even 3 animals per tile. In both cases I get barely any stomping and even when I do its usually just enchanted turned back to grass and I just re-enchant it. Is it the standard now that everyone does 1x2 enchanted and no one worries about spontanous mass stompings and loosing half their herds? I am also curious about how long people can let the 1x2 animals go and figure not to have too many die if they arent enchanted right away after one gets stomped. I sometimes take spontaneous 1 month breaks usually for medical reasons and so I am wondering if maybe I aughta put my 'prize' animals in 2x3s and the random ones in the 1x2s and that way if I dissapear I have a set to start over again from. If it really is the case that 1x2 is just fine and no one worries anymore then I could triple my breeding capabilities in as long as it takes to bash and replace a few walls. Thanks for the info!
  17. Ohh as the getinfo. Im intersted in this too. Would be awesome insane if you could make a map or something but that imsure would be wa3 if at all. But you could probably detect by the distance, directino and above/below ground. Theres only so many front, behind, left, right, few distances and the above below ground. Could detect it the way you detect some of ther other stuff that has multiple trigger texts but it would just be parsed per animal as opposed to all the same animal.

  21. I second the Reveal Creatures thing. I never thought of that. But thats great. I live on a peninsula and I always end up having to run around the peninsula in the morning to see if anything spawned. I forgot about reveal creature on my priest. This would save a lot of time!
  22. Mind imping a rare spindle to 90? I got it to 74 lol. Also Ill go for a 90ql carving knife. (Technically a weapon right?) Can you recommend a good enchanter? that can do 80s?
