  1. Adding more animal types doesn't make sense until the creature spawning and migration code is fixed. -1
  2. You found the quote button, maybe you find the edit button soon. I know this area of code is very complex and takes a very long time just to get a basic understanding, much less being able to actually fix the problem, but I think if a poll was created with a choice between more features first ,or putting resources into finally getting the creature movement and spawning code right, I know which choice would get an overwhelming amount of votes.
  3. Server Crossing

    You can't bring a wagon or cart across, but you can cross the border, same as you can swim across. Some of the old servers have boat bridges for this purpose. I think it was on Deliverance, there was a tiny piece of rock sticking up the water at the server border, it was buggy as hell, I'm pretty sure Gumbo spend time turning that into a bigger island though.

  5. Change your petition to "Fix the AI bug responsible for animals moving north more often than any other direction" and I'll sign. Been here since 2012 at least. Increasing spawns will just be a temporary fix.
  6. That is what you are doing now. Who do you think planted 99% of the new deeds and who will grind and reach any skill many times faster than new players? Telling yourself anything different is just self delusion.
  7. No, I don't think the devs are that stupid. Only way you are getting 10 hours of sleep bonus is if your entire weekend gets ruined by server crashes/restarts, so it may yet happen though.
  8. You make it sound like magic though. I doubt the Unity or Unreal game engines support the kind of terraforming that Wurm has. Even if they did support it, it would take more than actual developer to reproduce what Wurm does easily enough, if it was so easy someone would have done it already... A big development team with lots of resources, including a team to create their own game engine, could maybe make Wurm 2.0, but that would be more like the Sims for the first many years, where you get a core game where you can maybe dig and create a mine, and then would have to pay for an obscene amount of DLC's to get the other features over the years, in an attempt to earn back the money it would take to achieve it.
  9. I'm not able to play using the normal client (with the old UI), after playing with the new UI. First the client wouldn't launch, so I reinstalled it, and now I just log into a world that won't load. Anyone else experienced this?
  10. Some nice suggestions, sadly most Wurm players hate winter, mostly because they are blinded by it because most people don't care to mess with monitor settings that come with default gamma that is 2x-3x too bright.
  11. CEST is 2 hours ahead of UTC (and GMT). CET is 1 hours ahead of UTC (and GMT) It is a bit odd if the time given was CET, since we are now on CEST across Central Europe, so I kind of agree with you that times should be given out in UTC in the future, We do have players from all over the world.
  12. That trailer is bloody amazing! Great work! I hope it brings more players to Wurm Online, because we need more players in big communities in the game, like the trailer shows, instead of hermits with 10 deeds around several servers and a dead world, except for an excess of spiders and trolls.

  14. +1. We should just go back to the way it was before it was changed, when things cost more to send and less items could fit. QoL changes killing the community is not necessary a good thing, and that was one of them.
  15. To me the picking of the names feel like someone wrote down all the names on pieces of paper, put them in a bowl, and just picked the first one they took. I saw lots of great suggestions, neither of these names are that. Quite disappointing when you think about the importance of the Steam launch. Congrats to the winners though....

    No, you can use the normal Wurm client to connect to the "Steam" server, and the Steam client to connect to the "normal" servers.

  21. There will be a completely new server, separated from the existing servers, when Wurm launches on Steam.
  22. I am not sure including more animals in phobia mode is necessarily a good idea, unless it comes with options for which animal to include. I don't really like snakes, I hate scorpions and tiny beetles make me scream in real life, yet the anaconda, scorpion or cave bug doesn't bother me at all. The spider models we had before these didn't bother me too much either, in fact I don't think anyone ever complained before the current "realistic" spider models were introduced. I can't watch any of Retro's streams or any other stream for that matter, because I am afraid the streamer will run into a spider-infested forest. +1 to a new model though, blobs are really boring, and I do know that the texture bother quite a few people.
