  2. -1 Virtual animals feel no pain, and although I am not sure that they branded cats in the middle ages, they did throw rocks at them and eat them, I sincerely doubt anyone had pet collars with buckles and name tags, but feel free to prove me wrong! Besides, if you get pet collars for your cat, I want one for my pet pig.

The economy (and Wurm) was in a much better place when the players were more "isolated", we couldn't mail large items, players actually had to travel to meet up to get tools imp'ed, or to flourishing market places with merchants full of stuff. Auction house will kill Wurm, although I am not sure if the OP want that. What is missing? More cooperation (more reason to cooperate) More reason to travel and meet up and see other places. Animal AI fixed before anything else. No more new servers. Ideally we need to merge or even close some servers. We may lose a few players, but lots of old players would prefer this, because right now new players stay away because of the large number of servers with few player numbers. Either drop PvP completely or devote some time to make it more fun. I would prefer the latter option. I may have missed something, but after all the above, do some proper advertising, and the game will attract and keep more players.
  6. It is not a bug, and I think Antony explained it well. Too lazy to back off and disengage before pressing Love Effect. If you played when meditation was originally introduced, and used the Love Effect back then, then I accept your claim that it always worked on other creatures. I still think it works as intended.
  7. Love effect works on trolls now? Once upon a time it only worked on animals I'm sure? Maybe they should just change it back The spell is not utterly useless, it seems like you are too lazy or stubborn to use it properly.

  9. Wurm Online was originally meant to be a community game where people lived in villages, that worked together. If you think that new features should be designed around hermits want to go GOAT or JOAT on all skills, then they might as well just shut it down now. If something feels like a job to you, then you want to do too many things yourself. Trade something you like to do, that doesn't feel like a job, for those new horses that you need.
  10. I sense a lot of negativity here, so let's try something different... Wow, this sounds amazing, this is really great work and possibly the biggest possible improvement to Wurm I can remember. I haven't played for a while, and stuff like this almost makes me want to come back! Great work everyone on the team, I hope this works out. Some of the people complaining here probably also felt bad when ?-bags had graphics added.
  11. I hope not. Part of the appeal of Wurm for me was to meet people from other countries. Thousands of people from non-English speaking countries have played the game over the years and managed to learn and communicate with other players in basic English, the community would not have been the same if the game had been translated into several languages.

  15. Adding more animal types doesn't make sense until the creature spawning and migration code is fixed. -1
  16. You found the quote button, maybe you find the edit button soon. I know this area of code is very complex and takes a very long time just to get a basic understanding, much less being able to actually fix the problem, but I think if a poll was created with a choice between more features first ,or putting resources into finally getting the creature movement and spawning code right, I know which choice would get an overwhelming amount of votes.
  17. Server Crossing

    You can't bring a wagon or cart across, but you can cross the border, same as you can swim across. Some of the old servers have boat bridges for this purpose. I think it was on Deliverance, there was a tiny piece of rock sticking up the water at the server border, it was buggy as hell, I'm pretty sure Gumbo spend time turning that into a bigger island though.

  19. Change your petition to "Fix the AI bug responsible for animals moving north more often than any other direction" and I'll sign. Been here since 2012 at least. Increasing spawns will just be a temporary fix.
  20. That is what you are doing now. Who do you think planted 99% of the new deeds and who will grind and reach any skill many times faster than new players? Telling yourself anything different is just self delusion.
  21. No, I don't think the devs are that stupid. Only way you are getting 10 hours of sleep bonus is if your entire weekend gets ruined by server crashes/restarts, so it may yet happen though.
  22. You make it sound like magic though. I doubt the Unity or Unreal game engines support the kind of terraforming that Wurm has. Even if they did support it, it would take more than actual developer to reproduce what Wurm does easily enough, if it was so easy someone would have done it already... A big development team with lots of resources, including a team to create their own game engine, could maybe make Wurm 2.0, but that would be more like the Sims for the first many years, where you get a core game where you can maybe dig and create a mine, and then would have to pay for an obscene amount of DLC's to get the other features over the years, in an attempt to earn back the money it would take to achieve it.
  23. I'm not able to play using the normal client (with the old UI), after playing with the new UI. First the client wouldn't launch, so I reinstalled it, and now I just log into a world that won't load. Anyone else experienced this?
  24. Some nice suggestions, sadly most Wurm players hate winter, mostly because they are blinded by it because most people don't care to mess with monitor settings that come with default gamma that is 2x-3x too bright.
