I understand what the OP is saying. The game costs to much for him/her. We all have 2 choices, play or don't. If the masses left the game, Rolf would have 2 choices, drop the price or don't. Just because 1 game is $5 a month and another is $10, doesn't make the game that is $10 overpriced, it just means that's what the developer values it at. Saying that, Wurm is one of few games that offer a Play2Pay option whereby if you make enough money in game you can play for free - which is VERY achievable. (Mortar) Spend 20 hours in game and you can easily make enough silver for premium. I'm not talking enough for 1 main, 4 priests, a 85x85 deed and spending cash. I'm talking enough for premium, for 1 character. Play to your means. Once all these pre-paid people on the old system expire, they also have a choice to purchase premium again or not. I personally don't have any issue playing what I am paying now (re-subbed for a year up front 3/4 days ago) as I like playing the game. I don't drink often, I don't have children and I think the game is worth what I pay for it. Yes, we'd all like to see bugs fixed or new features added but I have come to the realisation that Rolf runs on his own clock, he does what he wants, when he wants, how he wants and he doesn't care if you like it or not and I'm OK with that because I made the choice to be OK with it. I've kinda got involved in this post more than I normally would, simply because a lot of you are complaining about something your not forced to play, or forced to pay for. You weren't even promised anything at any stage. If you don't like, you know what you can do, simple really.

Its not, Paypal and "other middle-men" look great to buyers but not for sellers. I work exclusively in e-commerce these days and have experienced first hand back-fraud. This is where people pay for something then try halt the payment. Luckily with POD we can challenge these however with Rofl and Wurm, its digital items with no POD so the charge-backs become almost impossible to challenge. Having less payment options available to players who play less frequently shouldn't be seen as a snub to newer players but more a reward to the long term players. As for the goodbye thread, its not your first, I doubt its your last, see you in a few months when you've bounced round the current crop of new games and realised Wurm offers everything most gamers want/need (all be it with bugs / server instability) at a price that's is affordable to most with a option of paying through play. You have crafting, PVP, world alteration, alliances, building, commerce, social etc... Yes it isn't polished but with this many features, its going to be hard slog to do that.

Hi, I had a similar issue to this, my solution was to change the config.ini for the card to ALWAYS use max settings as my card didn't trigger the change when Java loaded. This may be an option, the only slight downside is increased power consumption while only using it for work as the graphics are taking up more juice. You would have to Google how to do it for your card.

We all find downtime annoying, but bugs/crashes happen, they always have with Wurm, they probably always will. And yes I agree with you that this post specifically isn't a massive rant thread about something, I personally feel that the forums are filled with negative posts far to often. Yes the game has potential to grow and to be a better game, but with so much negativity I can see from Rolf and the dev teams POV that you wouldn't want to come to the forums.

The game is built in Java (rightly or wrongly) and for a game of this type, everything they do is new ground. They can't jump on forums and say "how do we do x?" or "why does x happen when I do y?" so things are are bound to break down more than Candy Crush or Farmerville. If you've been in Wurm more than a month you know crashes happen, you know that eventually Rolf will fix them and information is few and far between. We all wanted to play this morning, hence why we're all in this post. But demanding stuff, posting the same rants and in-fighting isn't going to get us anywhere. Instead lets just let the admins/devs/ca's etc post about any info they hear down the grape vine.
