WPlanner V3.0.0 - Wurm Mapping Program - Patch for broken maps
LennyHarvey85 replied to Budda's topic in Toolbelt
Save is not working for me, maybe this should be added to the original post that you cannot work on something more than once. I feel annoyed that I spent 3 hours counting/detailing and logging my deed to not be able to open the file afterwards. I can see my save file but when it "appears" to load, it is blank. -
Olde Gaunthulme would welcome Darklighter (A little north of Reborn)

Effet, I was in the same position as you, me and my mate joined Freedom and didn't really want to join a village, just sort of go out on our own. Times were hard and our skills prevented us from doing hardly anything. We then joined Reborn and have started getting our skills up to a reasonable level. We have now moved out of the deeded area and started making our own little place. :-) I can only recommend that you join a village as it will help you both no end. Plus you also get to learn valuable tips and tricks on things that the Wiki can't show you. Len

Lol, you're saying timers go up as you get more skill? you forgot the t (t= max timer length): a=t-(your equation). well, more or less, need a minimum, and that would require a certain amount of % adjustment too, but you get the idea I'm going to be honest, I've been playing the game about 2 months, I've done about a total of 20 actions, Digging Farming being the main 2. I have no idea at all in regards to these 60 second timers, my highest was when I tried to flatten something and it said 3 minutes so I cancelled it. The point about ql=t could also be modified, (I'll use digging again) if your skill is 70 digging, your timer would be roughly 7s based on my theory, why not modify how much dirt you dig each action? so 70 you get 2 dirt - 85/3 95/4 or something, so yes the timer may be longer but you get more. I dunno, it was maybe a silly idea, I was hopped up on chocolate.

Can't you bind timers to ql? Example. My Digging is 45. Avg ql soil dug will be x Timer is say 10% (guestimate) of ql so in my case anywhere from 4s to 4.6 sec. This makes sense 2 ways. When people are starting out, the action will go quicker, you'll learn quicker, you'll be less inclined to kill yourself. Also, from a game standpoint, you are simulating real life, I can go outside and make a chair in 10 minutes with scraps of wood but the quality would be shocking, If I spent a few days on it, its going to be a damn fine chair (up to my skill cap) If I was a developer, thats the way I'd play it. Get some algorithm to that. Digging x Shovel y Enchants z Timer a [{ (x+y)/2 } - { z% }] /10% = a Just my 2c

I draw mine on graph paper at work while I diagnose faults.

Hidden cliffs have killed me the one time I have died. I came very close a second time when a bear was in the cave I was in, I didn't have a latern at the time and forgot a blinking combat window meant I was dying. ;-)

Looks a bit like the puppet from the SAW films. -
Hi all. I tried to find it on the wiki but failed, I have moved into a seeminly derelict area and wish to restore it - can I just take over it (the house and things) or do I have to change deeds over or writs? At what point does that property loose its name tags etc? Thanks Len

I've seen loads of deer up the hill - There is also a really nice guy above us called Renny. I've seen a few other in local but none that have said much. Just trying to finish our first house at the moment (1x1) once that is done and we can start securing stuff we can do a lot more. :-) Len -
