  1. There is a size limit in dimensions and file size for avatar choices, so make sure you read those in the same menu where you'd change your avatar. As for game changes, there are many. Bridges being a recent one. I'm not sure when in 2012 you played, but BSB's and FSB's for bulk material storage was one of the best additions to the game ever. Crates are a recent expansion of those options. That also brings the 'load' option on carts and boats to transport larger items like forges, beds, furniture etc etc. Various graphics will have been updated, numerous new models and animations, the character window and crafting window. inventory groups. Possibly rares, supremes and fantastic items would be new to you. Uniques spawn more frequently but loot drops have been altered to reflect that. The Server Xanadu which is 4 times the size of Independance has been added and it links Pristine and Release to the rest of the Freedom cluster. I'm sure there's plenty more but those are the main things that spring to my mind.
  2. I can't help but giggle - that typo completely reverses what you meant Anyway: It's even easier to say that something you're not part of, and thus don't know the inner workings of, is biased. I don't know about other GM's specifically in so far as the following may be true, but if I had my ticket taken by me, I'd rather I wasn't in my kingdom. If anything I suspect I may be ever so slightly biased against my own kingdom when dealing with things in my efforts to ensure I don't favor my kingdom. I hope every time that I am impartial and my decisions would be the same whoever it was for, and I reckon I do a good job of it. I don't believe that any bias I may have against my own kingdom may be anything other than tiny and not detectable in any way. As far as forum modding goes - this is already a cross-server affair. Whoever sends a warning or ban notice is not the only person to have commented/dealt with a report. It's been the result of discussions across the board (unless so blatant it requires immediate intervention). Just about every report has comments from PvP and Freedom mods and I know that trying to moderate PvP threads when you don't know what events are actually being referred to, who is who and why someone may have a grudge is next to impossible. I'm more or less at a complete loss when it comes to Epic goings-on because I've not been active there in over two years. Sme and MrGary are frankly indispensible at times just to know who is saying what about whom and why. I'm also AMAZED a PvP player is asking the PvP boards to be modded by Freedom players. Freedom players don't like confrontation, that's why they're on Freedom [for the most part]. Moderation on the PvP boards would only become stricter and I find it hard to believe that that's what you're asking for. I cannot see any of the suggestions made in the OP improving performance of the staff, or staff trust among the player-base.
  3. The infmous Enki sense of humour. The first time I remember coming across it was when he responded to my successful application to become a PA: "I have some bad news and some worse news." I still always panic slightly when he says 'I need to speak to you' only to find out he's asking my opinion on something.
  4. You can find the proceedure for getting this sorted here http://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/topic/35382-password-account-problems/
  5. This request is already being delt with in PM
  6. I don't understand why it's sad. Before, you'd lose an entire keel (or hull plank, or whatever) in a decay tick. This way, you only lose part of one. Now, you put it BACK in the BSB and make some more and put them in. As you get decay ticks, you'll keep only losing a bit of one from the BSB, so it will now take MONTHS to lose that entire 1 keel, instead of it happening every decay tick. Now you only end up with MORE, not less...
  7. Not if you don't take all of the items out of the BSB.
  8. Someone above said Mag. Rite of Spring is Vyn, Mag is Ritual of the Sun. Anyone care to confirm which he has?
  9. You'd get PMK's spamming towers across the majority of the map and bam, that entire area is closed to everyone but those in the PMK because tower capping and bashing wouldn't be possible. I also don't think capping is a thing that should be added to PvE bcause it's a PvP feature and there are players on Freedom that don't want to have to raise their skills to be able to cap towers when all they want is to be left quietly alone. What about the hermits? Expanding the abilities of alliances a bit would be nice, but there's only so much that could be added before you're bringing in features that require PvP to function and not just bring a PvE server to a grinding halt.
  10. Would also help in those instances when the templar is stuck underground unable to find a path to a mob (unless that was fixed recently?) - sometimes we just don't know which deed is hvaing the issues. '<deedname> templar' would seem to work well.
  11. In Jakes example, what would have happened before was you'd have pulled out 5 full sized small nails and lost the 0.05kg of the final one. Now, you get to keep the weight of the part nails - just drop them back in the BSB to use again in the future when you've added more nails.
  12. There is a bug tracker - we use Trello (which is automatically synched with the in game support ticket system). However, due to the exploitable nature of many bugs (not many of them hugely exploitable I'll grant) we refrain from making them public.
  13. Are you able to take the iron out of the crate?
  14. Ships do last a VERY long time, but equally, if they're locked, they can't be used by anyone who isn't included in the permissions. This means that people who don't already have boats are unlikely to just 'find' one they can use, and certainly not one they can secure barring an on deed boatmine. Equally, from the other point of view, the hard work involved in making a boat could be said to have not been worth while if that boat is destroyed by a storm... I feel suggestions could be better made to increase the value of higher QL boats such as increased speed - in fact that one has been made many times in the past.
  15. Aye, my post was purely for the achievement - no title is involved for this. Cavalier as a title would be something else entirely.
  16. Not when I checked a few weeks ago.
  17. News to me. It's taken all my animals weeks to get there for a couple of years now. They're generally no longer foals by the time they get the 'fat' status. I've got a champ wildcat that took 2 to 3 weeks to get there. That's been normal to me for a long time now. Perhaps someone with a path of knowledge character can look in to the changing status of the animals...?
  18. Description: After 80 new skill points you may become a Cavalier! Rarity: Silver How to Unlock: Gain 80 skill points across any number of skills. Posting here as I have to go and cook supper
  19. The higher the QL of the altar, the bigger the faith bonus for the priest, and the bigger the bonus to casting. So yes. Altar QL is important.
  20. Not so bad now that all priests can use archery.
  21. I've known of mobs having spawned inside buildings in the past - shortly after I became a GM, so a few years ago now. Not common from my experience, and I don't know if it's a bug or not.
  22. Now that it's a package, mind saying where it's based? Pick up might be a more attractive proposition than CoD for this number of items
  23. I'm always amazed by how surprised people seem. Every year, at the same time, just about everyone in Sweden goes on holiday, and yet every year, the entire wurm community wonders where the devs have gone (and seem equally surprised that they might need a break). There will also be plenty of Summer left for bug hunting when they get back. As for 'many of us quitting/selling etc.' in the OP. There are always some sales and quitting going on, just as new players are always appearing. I believe it's more a perception gained by peole who have been around a certain length of time, once you've settled in and started to take notice of the bigger picture, that's when you start noticing people leaving/selling etc. when really it had been happening all along. Just with anything else, there are occasional fluxes in the number of such at any time.
  24. I find imping oars works well enough. Are you imping low QL oars? Try imping one oar as high as you can and just keep going. It's painful, but once you reach high enough above your skill, the skill ticks are much bigger (same goes for any imping skill).
