  1. Seems to me that anyone asking for a delayed release of bridges on PvP servers should be on the test server trying out some PvP on bridges...

  3. oooh, that's a nice idea! Saves us having to have the wiki open alongside to see what things look like, or to keep switching between 2d and 3d to check.
  4. I believe Rolf has mentioned they're supposed to decay (in one of the public Q&A sessions on IRC), but it's not been considered a high priority bug to track down.

The price of sending papyrus notes was reduced massively from the usual cost to encourage this kind of thing I believe - afterall a player will receieve a notification that they have mail waiting. This would also work to non-friends of course. People have used renamed items dropped on the ground, or signs in the past. Things like Message of the Day in village and allaince can be used in some circumstances, but I reckon the papyrus thing is your best bet.
  9. That would be a GM currently taking a ticket on one of their player accounts, not their GM account, like me taking a ticket on Hord rather than Epiphron.
  10. Wall fix

    A Dev would have had just as much success sorting out your building as the GM did. It's a coding issue which has been known of for some time, just not found until very recently. There is nothing the dev could have done in game that the GM didn't do.
  11. I keep holding off downloading the latest versions because you update it again so soon! For what it's worth, my vote is for static too. I set up the lay of the land while online and in-game, but that's what allows me to play with design ideas when I don't have access to the internet and gives me a wum fix too! Out of interest, do you ahve some idea of bridge stuff already, or will that be started when they're in game? Also, do you have a vague guesstimate on putting the mine layer in to this build? If it's months away I'll update again soon, but if it's a couple of weeks or so I'll update then.

  14. 5 isn't the minimum length for a bridge. I think it's the minimum for a two tile wide bridge, but I know I saw somewhere that said it was possible to have a 2 tile bridge (I don't know about 1 tile). Or has something changed? It would seem odd to limit bridges to such a large minimum.
  15. *shrug* perhaps gives you less stamina drain in water? Or move at walking speed while swimming (effectively walking on it I guess though if actually walking you'd presumeably be able to recover stam on water too which would be quite powerful in PvP).
  16. Creating a list like this does not help anyone as each case is looked at individually and the tiniest of variation in circumstances could alter the outcome. As such it could end up causing more problems than it 'solves' due to someone believing they're within the rules when they're not.

    I notice your forum account is registered on gmail. If you used the same for your game account, it usually goes to spam in gmail. You can tell your gmail account to put future e-mails from @wurmonline.com in your inbox to avoid losing things down the line.

I'd respond to the subsequent posts, but it seems others have done so on my behalf already and I couldn't have put it much better myself - though I wouldn't have used my staff position As far as Mycelium on PvE - I really hope not, but a player deity is a new mechanic to all of us (including Rolf) and there have no doubt already been unforseen things cropping up. I would hope that if any DOES appear on PvE that it's 'fixed' rapidly. It looks to me like you're complaining about mechanics you think might be in place when you've not waited to see if it actually happens.
  20. THis used to be in the game with the 'push' command being useable on players. It was removed because it ended up with players stuck and bugged.

What about the following spells to balance that out? 12.5% skillgain for cast duration 25% stamina loss reduction for cast duration Spell damage reduction for cast duration 1.5x bandaging effectiveness etc. IMO it's only going to result in more discussions about balancing and not solve anything.
