    Old Grumpy Couples horsemarket Finally we want to broadcast our market here as well! It only took us two years to write a post ! Anyways! We are the old grumpy couple, Miralux and Bunnlose. We are running a market from our deed at North Deliverance. Here we got 55 salespens with animals, containing 4 speed horses, 4 drafthorses, draft and output bisons, draft mules and more. We got selfserve pens, but if you cant find the exact dreamanimal you were looking for, you are always welcome to ask us and we'll be happy to help. FIND US: Our location: https://deliverance.yaga.host/#1395,309 To arrive to our deed you got two options: if you come by land its very easy to just plot course to Old grumpy couple, and the highwaysystem will lead you to us. If you arrive with ship, there is a ship tunnel to our underground docks. Entrance for the tunnel is about here: https://deliverance.yaga.host/#1405,178 When you arrive to the docks, you will find a guestdock to the right where some tiles are offdeed, so you can easily unload/load creaturecages if you need. Follow the ledge straight south from guestdock (look for signs), and you will exit the mine and arrive just next to the marketbuildings. There are plenty of sign showing directions on our deed, but should you still be unsure where to go, never be shy to ask in local. Our market is divided in two sections: The upper market contains mostly draft animals. Here you will also find 8 merchants selling various of good. If you are looking for a special treat: check if the animal got a colored banner inside its pen! That would mean it have a rare trait. Additional info is on the keys to the pens. The merchants here currently are: Merchant_Key-Per: holding the keys to the pens Merchant_Animal gear: well, that might be selfexplaining but it sells Saddles and horseshoes with woa casts and other gear for the horses. In case of being sold out? Contact Bunnlose in game Merchant_Grinder: Specializes in high imped leather gear, toolbelts. Also got some tools and goodies. If you look for more items like this, or the merchant being sold out, look for Fossil in game. Merchant_Godofredo: Various items from archeology mainly, like seasonal items, masks, statuettes. Merchant_Berta: Selling masks, statuettes and random rare items Merchant_Supergluemaster: Selling shafts, planks, tenons, pegs in the archwoodcolors. Trying to keep all colors in stock, but in case of being sold out, contact Meitai in game to ask for more. Merchant_Hq tools: Selling rares, supremes, high imped tools thats fully enchanted with enchants atleast at 90+. Stock being updated as we get more goodies. Merchant_Jolly: Selling decorative items The lower market contains all the speedsters, along with some output bisons. Additional info about the animals are to be found at the keys on the merchant. Here you will also find a trader, accompanied by a few other merchants. The merchants here are currently: Merchant_Horses: holding keys to the pens at this level. Merchant_Sally: Selling various of tools and weapons with a minimum of 3 runes and/or enchants. The tools are always iron or steel, and the weapons are iron, steel or silver. The most part of these are being sold for only 20c. Here you can get nice items with higher chance to be imped rare, gather runes, holding enchants longer, shatter resist, gathering runes and so on. The variations are big so here you need to come and look. Adding new items all the time. (Exceptions for material might be made for rare items, though if not the mention materials, prize will also be very low.) BULK: From time to time we got bulk items avilable for purcase.     Two days ago I noticed one of my ships went missing, it was my Blueberrywood Caravel. As with most caravels it was a decoration piece, one that just sits there looking pretty but one that hardly ever (never) gets sailed around with. So I didn't notice it taking damage. The cog next to it was doing just fine taking little damage so I never bothered to check the caravel. Also, ships sink when they take large amounts of damage, or so I thought. Apparently the sinking hardly shows on large ships. So on January 4th it hit 100 damage and poofed. My request is to increase the height difference of sinking on the larger ships, so it looks similar to what the smaller rowboats and sailboats do. RIP Blueberrywood Caravel 😪

    It would be good if the "sinking" state (<10ql or >90 dmg or so) would show up in the "Manage Ships" window, like high damage is shown on item lists.

    At the moment, wurm is a very static game. Barring trees slowly eating meadows and stepped and grass at war, not much happens without player intervention. Here are a few simple ideas to make the world feel more alive. 1. Make flowers prevent bushes/trees spawning adjacent (and over) them, unless a tree/bush is already adjacent. This helps preserve meadows, while still allowing forests to grow back over time. 2. Give steppe's more features: seasonal flower variants of their own as well as changing their mob movement priority to high in spring/summer but low in autumn/winter so critters leave surrounding forests in the warmer weather and retreat back in the winter 3. Differentiate between 'beach sand' (10 tiles away from a salt waterlogged tile) and 'desert sand'; the former spawning shells and palms with a higher spawn rate of seals and crabs, the latter scattered cacti and a new set of mid--high tier forage/botanist opportunities to offset the risk of dangerous critters. 4. Cliff-hugging plant species that yield useful resources for climbers who reach them. More so, mountain plants that only grow above a certain elevation to better reward people living far inland. 5. Fern tiles, an alternative to grass that does not impede dense tree growth; offering denser and more dangerous forests in return for faster tree growth rates. Slowly spreading once an area has a thick enough forest. 6. Allow moss to spread inside caves, near entrances to mines and near underground water sources. Let us plant it and bring some green! If a mine tile has a tree planted overhead, give us some roots that can be cut back if desired. 7. Allow swamps to spread more easily far from trees, but make swamps easier to remove. Give swamps their own trees (mangroves) and allow reeds to grow into swamps to provide more resources. 8. Give abandoned (unused) roads a 'mossy' texture after a while; moss clearing once 3 people walk over a tile in 24 hours and only occurring on road tiles that are not highways. 9. (added 26/04/2023) Give us another coastal flower with a twist - let us plant flowers on marsh tiles to give lily pads whose flower colour matches the planted flower type.

    Perhaps a "damaged visible " artwork would be appropriate, similar to the way fences and building walls look ratty and moldy when they pass 60% Dmg. So torn sails with holes and/or the whole body of the ship suddenly looks worn and moldy? Food for thought, Cheers, Hughmongus

    Something to look into for the QoL changes happening in 2023 I hope! So, bridges. They look pretty, and they're super helpful! They make crossing large bodies of water or land a breeze on horseback and we're all thankful for them to exist. It's truly wonderful we have them, and something a lot of us take for granted now I'm sure. But, as we all know, nothing is perfect and bridges are not exempt from this. Let's dig into this a bit... Land restoration, or as a few folk call it, renaturalisation is happening on a handful of the current SFI servers. They're wonderful projects that aim to take land that was previously used and revert it back to how it looked forever ago, to make an area look more appealing, to either someone looking for a new deed spot or to a new player exploring the lands for a nice spot to settle. The work folk put into these projects blows me away, with a massive attention to detail and a real effort to make it look like it did before. Bridges however, tend to be a thorn in the side of folks who do this in a handful of areas. For my example, on a server a deed disbanded quite some time ago and these bridges still remain. How do they remain? They aren't attached to a building, or cross any valley of water. They were made for "aesthetic" reasons. And frankly it looks incredibly silly to see these bridges leading nowhere. It also serves to deter people away from what is, in reality, a good spot. For some people, dropping a deed near these bridges is just an eyesore they'd rather do without. "Well Madnath, just bash them away!" Of course, that's the easiest answer but it's not actually all that simple. I contacted someone in alliance with a lovely 74 body strength, handed them a 90ql lead large maul and asked them to bash a tile of this 59QL bridge. After 30 seconds, the end result was dam=0.29709738. Ouch. Good stats and good gear, even getting the bash bonus from lead. Why is this so low? Mathing this out, 90 bashes at 30 seconds long would only result in 26.73 damage overall. Here's the same issue from the angle of a player with 98 body strength. The wonderful Nineol offered to help me get some data for this, and I accepted with glee. He's using a 75ql rare lead large maul. This is on an abutment. After a bash: [13:35:14] QL = 57.9743, dam=0.83030844. Now let's look at a bracing section. After a bash: [13:36:55] QL = 56.907, dam=0.7687136. Floating section gave us .59 damage but no timestamp for that. All in all, it paints a picture that doesn't look great long term for our Wurm landscapes. If you wonder if this is an issue, picture yourself looking out of your deed and seeing bridges across part of the landscape you're really fond of, and think of how much work it'd be to remove just that single bridge. As a heads up before someone posts it, catapults and battering rams do not work on bridges. tl;dr Bridges are absurd and really need to be less awful and painful to remove. We shouldn't be forced to drop a deed just to remove them with bash bonus. A large bridge can take multiple days between even a small group of people working to remove them. Please make it more inline with other things, such as stone walls and fences. P.S devs if we can get a select bar bash for bridges too that'd be amazing. Either that or make the keybind work for bashing.

    The Horse, The Thief, and The Cage It is not intended that a person with lead permissions on a creature can cage the creature and ship it off to another island for the purpose of rebranding and caring for it, effectively taking it from the original owner. This unintended issue will be corrected in a future update, until then, do not cage creatures that are branded or cared for, for the purpose of cross server ownership change.     - Falling out of the boat and other issues at server crossing. - Archery. - Not being able to reach things when already very close to them. - Affinity icons that are somehow decipherable from one another so you don't have to hover over all to find one you're looking for the status on. - The ability to not get auto-ganked to zero faith when crossing to Chaos after having been a member of a dif religion/pmk there in the past. - Labels you can edit on friends list so you can keep track of why some are friends/reason for association. - More characters allowed with renaming things. - Swimming traitor creatures not jumping server borders, or a jump then causing mission to end so folks don't waste time looking for something no longer there. - More open and regular staff/dev communication in forums. (this has been better lately though, so ty) - The ability to choose what a pendulum looks for or doesn't look for; a way to avoid seeing the neighbor's champ pets when searching for some other champ. - Make LSU's stave off some damage for their contents. - Make frying pans and other cooking elements stored in ovens not decay so unrealistically fast. - Give the massive amounts of karma most folks have more uses.

    These suggestions all sound excellent, except the tree roots in caves. I'd rather have glow worms or crystals in cave ceilings. As it is now, I am really annoyed by tree stumps poking down into the cave ceilings. I could possibly see roots in old off-deed caves that have not been used in a while, much like your idea for unused roads.
