    Added to a long list of ideas and suggestions for the future. I like the idea, just can not promise any timeframe for this. My main priority is all the public stuff, and there is a lot of that still remaining. I will focus on fixing public stuff before starting on any private things. At this point in time, I can not make any promises about private profiles. Until Wurm Unlimited starts to get updates again, I have no plans to support WU. There is only so much time and a day, and I have to prioritize. This is one reason why I made the log files upload, it eliminates problems like this. If you want nice graphs, that is the way to go about it. As mentioned earler, I will implement dump files upload, but there is no plans to improve on the feature with dumps. My main focus will always be on logs. I have now checked the export that I recieved, and it does contain all of this data. So import csv will not be needed (at least not until private profiles might come along), since all will be imported automatically. Sorry for some letdowns here, I am just trying to be realistic about what I have time for, and how much time each thing actually takes to make. I very much appreciate suggestions and ideas, but I can not prmise to be able to implement all of them.

    A "Public house of rest" placed there by Avaxas (a friendly player whom I've only met once or twice before - if you see this Avaxas, HI! 👋). It is things like this that add something very unique to the world of Wurm. Players are given relatively limited tools to be creative in an open world, and then take that limitation and run with it in a way that is moving. A sweet, simple, one tile shack, locked to mobs but open to all players, containing a free bed, along with enchanted grass, large anvil, forge and oven, and enough space to park a few beasts of burden or pets. I'll return there to repair everything as soon as I can. Anyone discover similar acts of kindness out there?

    It would be nice if higher skill levels of Archaeology would find markers of nearby deeds easier. Currently there is a chance already: "You spot some markers of an old settlement in the area. It looks like it may be far to the northwest from here. You find a small scrap of something that has the deed name on it..." Sadly this messages have quite a little chance to show up even above 99 skill - make it to scale much better with skill level... ...or even better introduce an action (at a specific skill level or scaled by skill) giving a chance to survey the area for old settlements, I think about somthing similar like Analyze in the mines. With the new treasure maps it would give a nice perk to Archaeology skill.

    Putting this here as I see it in a wide array of games, not just this one.... Programming is hard. No really, it is. I sympathize with the Wurm devs and give them my honest respect. Programming, especially in game development is hard. This 2 cent rant to say. Be nice to Wurm devs. They work very hard and honestly could leave and do something else more useful with their time. So say thanks in the chat when you see them, because without their dedication and hard work: this game would not be where it is today.

    I propose that somehow we add the ability to provide access to an area such as a room, mines or animal pens etc for limited access, from rooms pens etc they can allways leave the area but not re-enter if the rental time is used up , for items the access to the item would last a specified time, to facilitate all sorts of "self serve" type rentals of all things, or to allow a person to buy a horse more easily without the need for keys what do you say? the rented door or gate would display to the renter the amount of time left etc... just a thought.

    I am getting a little old. Last night I made two maps, with very similar names spelled slightly different, because very often I have an issue with some maps "not working" due to some settings and techniques I use in the map generator, and I use the slightly different spellings to help me keep them straight. I made a map named Wyldelaan and another map named Wiilderlund. I made Wiilderlund first but it had a couple of minor flaws that bothered me, so I tried again and got Wyldelaan which I actually liked better, but then I posted the wrong map image file in the post. As you can see below, the two maps are fairly similar in style. Both maps actually work ok, but when I uploaded the image above, I accidentally uploaded the files for Wyldelaan but the map image for Wiilderlund. The corrected maps and links for either map are below, so consider this a two-for-one map offering! If you only want one map, I recommend Wyldelaan of the two. I think I had wanted slightly more rugged looking mountains ingame, and more trees in the north especially... but there is really not a lot of differences. If you like being able to easily ride -over- mountains, than you'd prefer Wiilderlund. If you want more choppy-but-scenic mountains even if they are a devil to cross, go for Wyldelaan. The mountains should be somewhat similar heights, the difference is whether they crinkle or swell. I deleted the image from the main post to avoid further confusion.     Heya Drogos, a tiny but nice suggestion that would be great to have implemented would be to show a "Total" row in the Wurm Servers table on the main page. So we can see the total number of deeds and players online. Thanks!!!!

    To anyone who doesn't know programming, it is HARD. Not lift this heavy rock hard but more like, someone hid a sewing needle SOMEWHERE in your house and until you find it your drier wont work. And you may have lost it earlier or it could have been someone else but for some reason when you find it your fridge stops working

    (Quick and dirty CSV Conversion) Open the output file in notepad++ (or any other half decent text editor) Delete Rows 1--5 Then you just do a bunch of find and replaces using REGEX Replace->Regular Expressoin (Wrap Around and Match Case Ticked) Find : (\d+.\d+) (\d+.\d+) (\d) Replace ,\1,\2,\3 Find + (two spaces followed by a +) Replace (blank) Find Skills,0.0,0.0,0 Replace Skills,Current,Max,Affinities Save as .csv with the character name and server Enjoy It's a simple enough process that creating a script to run it on a file that was just created shouldn't be too tricky

    Good day. @Drogos Thanks for the work you have done so far Love the skills having a color by skill range. As someone whom have been using Niarja for a while here is my list of features I would love to see implemented as you have time for them. (some have been mentioned by others) Mark a character as private (only owner can view) Wurm unlimited servers as an option (gonna have a few to add) Niarja had it as a seprate subsection and then server Skill graphs over time (ignore the pits , those are from bad dumps that i was unable to delete) Import CSV from Nairja dumps (I am willing to give you mine so you can check format) -- date time timezone , skill , skill , affinity level Lines from dump : 2020-05-29 10:41:00 UTC,Mind,39.084625,0 2022-07-30 10:02:00 UTC,Mind,94.92988,5 Detect bad dumps / delete bad dumps. (massive skill drops vs previous upload , small file size) For your tools I can also suggest making a Unlimited of your "Upcoming harvest" where you paste the /time and it tells you the upcoming harvests.     I like the seasons when I get lucky enough to plan my orchards correctly (rare to never) My big disappointment with wurm is how fleeting the weather is, it is the most immersion breaking part of the game. Usually weather is part of a front or system which even with wurms advanced time would give you more than 3 mins of rain at a time. I love a spring shower or a winter snow

    I would almost argue being able to be marked as Private would be a higher priority, then develop CSV import. My biggest concern is that some of toons were marked private on Niarja (as well as other people's). Niarja had CSV export, so it'd be nice to have an import to utilize that compilation. Thanks again though!

    Not all mine by a longshot. Some of them are sort of funny local fixtures. There's one Ekcin made called "Troll Shelter," though I think a sign ought to be posted noting that it's a shelter from trolls, not for trolls. 😆 Up north, my grandson created a one tile shack by a roadside and named it The Privies, then made up the inside as best he could to give the impression of an outhouse. Quite a few people also place small shelters on the edges of their deeds for people to use, having them on deed so that they need not do regular maintenance.

    Then I will start with this first I have not looked at the dump from niarja yet. If it has the skills stored, then I will just do a mass import and not make csv import. If however it does not, then I plan to make csv import instead of niarja import. Yes, plan is to support this as well. I also wish the log files was split up a bit more so that it was possible to be more selective in the upload process, but that would require that Wurm logging differently or had an api. If all you want is graphs anyways, I did make an option to exclude _Event files from the upload. It is even off by default, so one has to opt in to enable it. All I can say, is that I have no other option if one wants to join in for the extra stuff that utilizing the _Event files. I am not a PvP-er, I do not involve myself in trading, and I live in a small country where my rl career and hopes of one day joining the Wurm team would probably be destroyed if I did anything bad here. I would probably also be banned for a lifetime from the game. Personally I wish to have my graphs based on _Skills file, and split by server based on _Event files. So naturally I made what I want first before starting on the other stuff. My wish tho, with using logs over dump makes to be compatible with dumps as well a bit more tricky since some might have old dumps and new logs, all mixed from different computers, etc. So, this will still take a bit of time to get in place. The client side code is plain JavaScript, viewable by anyone. I also did not obfuscate or minimize it, so it is as easy as possible to read for anyone that wants to check it at any time to validate that it does not touch password file, pm, alliance, etc. I assume that people do check it and would quickly tell the Wurm devs to put up a huge banner on the forums about it to warn everyone to stay away from WurmNode. You can also just open the browser console, and check the network activity and check there what is being sent. When dropping the files, you can see which files are going to be uploaded before confirming the actual upload. Thanks for pointing out some concerns in public! Sorry about the long answers, but I do think it is good to talk openly about these tings

    Spring is my favorite. I love the way the grass is shortish but you can see it swaying in the breeze, flowers cover the trees with a promise of harvests to come... It's so lovely.

    I have not decided what to work on first. I have recived the historical data for twitter messages, and was planning to work on that part first since the beta for _Skills and _Event seems to have most bugs sorted by now, and it also works with multiple computers. The way I see it, is that anyone can currently get all features working by utilizing this feature. But the historical data is unavailable to everyone until I have fixed that part. So, for me personally the historical data seems more urgent, but community might see this differently. Both should be fixed of course, it is just a question about priority that I do not have the answer to yet.

    Niarja is offline, thanks for using it over the years! I have provided a full dump of Niarja's data (excluding user accounts and private character data) to Drogos. When he wakes up I'll discuss with him the best way to make this data available to the rest of the Wurm community long-term.

    Agree on all counts Not fixing archery will turn away a ton of new players. Many people enjoy a ranged style and will not appreciate their style of mmo play being left out as the system currently is

    Big disagree on some aspects of that fragment idea, but there's some kernels of "ooh that could be good" in there. I strongly believe that no part of searching for uniques should be doable from the deed, its perimeter, or anywhere else really familiar. No farming, and sure as heck no praying. But it does present some very interesting thoughts. Namely, if a group (effectively) assembling and killing a unique is no impairment on your own quest to get one, surely that would lower toxicity. Those words alone got me thinking about Realistic Conflict Theory, which almost perfectly maps onto our own situation: A conflict for limited resources (unique spawns) causes ingroups and outgroups to get hostile (the current ugly situation, the constant hackusations). If some sort of fragment system were adopted, in such a way that one person getting fragments doesn't deprive another, and integrated into something that gets people out their deeds (say, the exploration update), that would solve the "limited resources" part of it. No doubt this would be met sceptically, since balancing self-driven unique spawns to not be too frequent would be difficult indeed. But Realistic Conflict Theory does present another way to lower hostility between groups: Superordinate Goals. This would mean somehow making dragons require whole scores of people to find, so that people would almost be required to interact between groups. How you'd accomplish this without making alts bypass it is completely beyond me, however. At this point every epic server has every possible unique alive on every island. It's less luck when there's that many

    And the ones who pen them will be a few veteran players which will corner the market in no time, thus gating "end-game" content for new inexperienced players. Will that have a positive experience for the new blood coming in on steam? Doubt it. I just see a wave of negative reviews how "exploitative" the game can be. Fix damn uniques hunting. #NOMOREPENNING

    One change I would like to see in regards to uniques: Sound & visual cues to their presence. A dragon, for example: It roars, audible within its local. It leaves a trail of destruction that marks its passage across the lands - fallen and uprooted trees, packed dirt tiles, animal corpses strewn about. I hear birds chirping all the time, even ducks (where they at???). Something as Epic as a dragon (or other uniques) deserves its own soundbytes.

    It would be nice to see the fletching skill open up different types of arrows as it is raised. It would make it a little more interesting anyway.

    Novel Idea : Make Arrows cost 1/10th the favour to enchant I do like the alternative poison/fire arrow creation mechs. I would lean to saying fire arrows need to be tarred and use existing poisons (oleander and belladonna anyone?) for poison arrows. +1
