💜💜 Kesa's Blood Hut - Est. 2022 💜💜 Finally I made a pop up hut on the largest server yet! Xanadu! You are special and pretty! I will be here to mix your bloods for free, bring source salt if you got it! With my 99,3 NS you will get best chances at higher ql potions, and higher chances of imbue power so bring your bloods, tools and potions for the Double Dragon! Rules: 💜 Create a fine line after the slay at my hut (you are good at this btw ❤️) 💜 Wait for me to trade you (else you are most likely gonna close the trade I have open) 💜If you have more than 10 mixes/imbues please go back in line and wait for those who don't have as many (I promise I will stay until all have satisfied their blood lusts) Also grats on this fine event and find! It took me 3 hours to sail from Mid North of Xana to the slay spot (just fyi) I will make sure the hut is gone again when no more use for it! This year is clearly strong in the number 2. 2022 is 2020 too, right? Yes that is a flying horse in the background flying over Sandyclaws ( I knew you would ask about that and click here if you wanna see it from Sandy's view)

[20:13:04] You are still mentally exhausted from your last show. Tell us how long since the last show, like SB does: [20:13:40] You need to wait 4 minutes until you can toggle sleep bonus again. EDIT: Remove the cooldown, no reason for it; a band-aid for an old system, just remove the cooldown.

Thanks to the power of @Ajala and @Huserxand our team's Sou-Setsu-Ken, we've managed to trap a Venerable Fierce Black Dragon Hatchling (oil of the armour smith, hide) and a Venerable Scared Red Dragon (Potion of the ropemaker, scale) in the same mine!! To take them both down at the same time, we're going to need to gather all the bravest to riiight... here! https://xanadu.yaga.host/#4192,4403 At this time: 9pm /servertime on Sunday 17th Set off early; this is Xanadu after all, and you don't want to miss this!

Perpetual Sweet Spot Smithing Guide What is the sweet spot? When improving QL range higher than skill, but not too high, the resulting skill ticks (after all other bonuses) will be 2x bigger. It's the ultimate method of fast skill gain and works in all improving skills in Wurm. This guide presents the utilization of this sweet spot from the point of view of smithing and solely explains the theory and practice of staying at the sweet spot without help from higher skilled smiths. All other increases in skill gains like enchants, affinities and foods, meditation, coffee, etc… are not covered here. It's advised to maximize all of those bonuses and then attempt to improve the way that improving stays most of the time at the sweet spot to get the most out of your precious time and sleep bonus. What do you need? Items with Scavenger and other +improve success% runes: Scavenger: so it will have a higher chance to be successfully improved (10%) Vynora: so it will have a higher chance to be successfully improved (7.5%) Magranon/Libila/Jackal: so it will have a higher chance to be successfully improved (5%) Runes that provide +improve QL% are good secondary choices because they function similarly to Oils on hammer described below. Also having the item (blade/head/weapon/tool) enchanted with Woa or Botd is helpful because we will not benefit from Coc effect from tempering actions, but the actions will be faster because of the Woa effect, lowering the negative impact of spending time tempering. When tempering the item being tempered has its own QL as the active QL on improve action, meaning we would also fail improve actions on tempering more than other actions with high QL tools. Oil (of the blacksmithing/weaponsmithing/armorsmithing) on your Hammer: Example: It has been smeared with an oil of the blacksmith, so it improves Blacksmithing max QL [n] The theory: Here is the image of the graph you can put in google by copy pasting x*0.77+23 from 0 to 100 in the search bar: X axis is “your skill” which in the image would be 49.83. Y axis is approximate “sweet spot” which in the image would be at 61.37ql. We used to think that in order to improve at the sweet spot we need other players with higher skills to provide us with the items to improve because we would fail too much and damage the item to not be able to improve that high ourselves. The practice: With the combination of +10% and +7.5/+5% runes from Archeology multi rune items, we could potentially reach the “required” improve chance to maintain a good enough success ratio as high as the sweet spot. Having a Hammer with the oil would provide the necessary pump in QL of the item to compensate for our skill going up so fast. In scenarios where Oil power is “too high” we would reach the upper limit of the sweet spot resulting with our skill going up less but item QL going up, returning us to the sweet spot. In scenarios where Oil power is “too low” we would drop below the lower limit of sweet spot, resulting with skill arbitrary ticks in/out of sweet spot. This scenario can also happen if the combination of improve success chances are “too low”, seek for a better combination. Considerations: Runes with more QL when imped function the same as Oil in hammer helping to pump the item QL. The pragmatic way of calculating how much +success% and +QL% in combination with hammer Oil is needed is beyond me. In my own practical application of all this, I simply sought after an item with better rune combination if it seemed like my item QL was lagging behind. The idea of being able to stay inside the sweet spot seems like a difficult thing to achieve so the best practice in my opinion is to stay at the upper limit rather than attempt to maximize the actions within the sweet spot. Helpful reader pointed out: Armorsmithing titles can be of help for armorsmiths to stay up on sweet spot as there is supposed to be bonus on imp QL gains from the titles. Use as high QL tools as possible - this helps to succeed with improving actions. From the author: I am long time advocate of sweet spot (or how we used to call it a "mentor system") and the idea of teaching it to everyone. Motivation to write this guide comes from having to have tedious arguments and conversations in wurm public channels or CA HELP channel about how "you cant solo sweet spot, you need help from older players." Minmaxing skillgains is not something everyone enjoy practicing so the knowledge is only useful to those who find using the knowledge entertaining. A little bit too often when I "teach" knowledge about sweet spot, I am being told how its not worth it or how its boring to try minmaxing like that. Sure, there is no reason to judge everyones personal point of view on things but my intention is not to say that "youre a fool if you dont utilize this" and simply share the knowledge for everyone to do with it as they wish or do nothing with it at all. This guide is having enough wiggle space to optimize things or that what I presented is a bit a skim on the top of the lovely depth of wurm skilling. Cool. I hope this guide has enough information for everyone interested to have an idea how to explore the complexity on their own because everything in this guide have been hard tested by me and it is all verifiable. Combination of these oils and runes does provide the method of staying most of the time at sweet spot or reaching sweet spot by yourself.

Seems like this was the most well-attended slaying in some time (ever?). I didn't get an exact read on the peak, but the previous record was apparently 397 toons and this one attracted well over 430.

+1 +1 +1 +1 +1 Mules in wurm look like sickly, chubby donkeys. Why?!? Mules are half horse, so they really should look it. And they can come in fun "horse colors" too, but I'd be happy enough if they were sized/shaped correctly. Here's a mule directly beside a horse.

Nice one! If anyone's interested in the backstory, this is my best Wurm anecdote to date... Yesterday, while chasing up a treasure map, I spotted a red dragon chilling in the woods of central Xan. She didn't see me, so I logged the location and legged it. I decided to pen the beast and run a public slaying event, and Huser graciously agreed to travel 4000 tiles with his cartload of alts to do the collapse, while I sacrificed myself luring it into a mine. But by the time we had got together on Red's location, she'd moved on and we couldn't find her for ages. We started looking, carefully. [16:41:19] <Huser> I imagine I would know it if I saw it but what color was this critter [16:41:55] <Ajala> red ... [16:53:13] <Huser> You said red? [16:53:18] <Ajala> yeah [16:53:23] <Huser> Black dragon chasing me [16:53:30] <Huser> Desert to the north fo the tundra [16:53:47] <Huser> and red [16:53:54] <Ajala> lol [16:53:59] <Huser> running away foudn red [16:54:14] <Huser> I ran east turning south [16:54:34] <Ajala> i checked there alreadt [16:54:56] <Huser> I just saw two scared the f out of me [16:55:13] <Huser> I see the black one do you? [16:55:16] <Ajala> black is on me now [16:55:27] <Huser> What do we do [16:55:45] <Ajala> run [16:56:02] <Ajala> both on me Miraculously, we both survived, and agreed we were waaaay out of our depth. Time to call in the pros. A few DMs with Stan, and a couple hours later he arrived with his crew. It was like me and Huser were a couple of guys who'd just accidentally shot a guy in the face, and then half a dozen Winston Wolfs showed up to help dispose of the body. How they penned both without getting killed is beyond me.

It would be a really nice addition to expand the recent animal update with the feature to dye our sheep. Right now it's almost impossible to see which sheep is an offspring of another sheep as they do not have names. With this new feature you would be able to dye the sheep and keep them easily separated without needing to put them in way too small dens! I suggest this should cost about 0.05-0.1kg of dye and show up as a spot on the back or sides of the sheep.

Hello. I know I am not the only person that is put off by the daunting task that is supplying arrows for myself. I have seen different people offer a variety of suggestions, so I thought I would offer one of my own. The big problem I have is, not the task of making arrows, not even the fact that they have a chance to instantly break upon impact, but the tedium of improving each and every single arrow in my quivers, only to lose most of them in a matter of 15 minutes. The time invested into the creation of high quality arrows does not match the return in terms of either time or combat effectiveness (at least at my fletching skill level of 41). My proposed solution is to, instead of forcing the player to improve each and every arrow, instead make the arrows able to combine into a "bundle of arrows". Suppose the number of arrows that can be bundled is capped at 41, as to not cause quivers to become useless. Then, with the bundle of arrows, you can improve the bundle instead of just one arrow. Of course, if you are improving for skill gain, you may also improve single arrows, but for the purposes of actual combat usefulness, you should obviously just improve the bundle. Let me know what you guys think, and let's have a discussion about this. Feel free to offer better suggestions so that we can get this feature into the game

Having grown up around mules, I reluctantly use them because the graphic is so wrong. Mules are not typically small like donkeys. Mules are bred to be strong, surefooted beasts of burden. Tall and lean, not small, dainty and pudgy. Mules: https://www.dimensions.com/element/mule-equus-asinus-x-equus-caballus Height: 63”-78.7” | 160-200 cm Clydesdale Horse: https://www.dimensions.com/element/clydesdale-horse Height: 64”-72” | 162-183 cm It is possible to make a small mule, yes, just as it is possible to breed miniature horses. But it isn't really done for work animals. Just for novelty.

So i honestly need to admit that i cant finish it 100% to 100QL now because RL gets me to much. The real QL of that Pick is pretty close to 100, its 99.9975QL. So its pretty close and i am very proud of it. I am sure it needs a longtime to drop that QL to 99QL. So next imp can wait Here the exact Data of that Beauty:) RARE 106 BotD 10% Gather Rune 99.9975QL Starting Bid: 30s Minimum Raise: 1s Buyout: 1g Sniper Protection: 30min no Private Bids! So we have the Village Recruitment Center on the forum, but its no doubt that theres still many players that doesnt use the forum, excpecially after it was released on Steam. So i think adding a ingame recruitment tab in the chat will both helps with recruitment and can also be a easier way for new players to get in to the game. This should be available from the tutorial zone. Also the option to toogle it off/on for those not interested

If you were going to get a rare roll on the imping action, the repair action will not “intercept” or otherwise stop it from occurring. When targeting rare rolls I like to queue things like repair/eat/drink/etc. immediately after the initial action (or queue of actions, staying under 30s); keep them as close to the initial set as possible to minimize spreading sending queued actions out over a longer period of time. If you sent an imp action and then your rare window opened the next second and then repair was sent then the repair would waste a moi but keeping them close gives you the best chance to catch as many as you can. Feel free to PM me here/in-game if I’m not being clear enough.

And I set the advanced settings for Gold since its made of Gold and a quality of 10 since that is the quality Level @Mthec Im wondering if I have something in the config wrong could that be a possibilty? Also was wondering on how to use these merchants as a player merchant where players can put imtems they crafted in the merchant and sell those items. I cannot seem to figure it out I know its gotta be something simple

So I received a PM from a good friend that just covered some additional stuff to mention. We’ve seen some bad info in some game channels about our findings and we want to nip it in the bud a little. There’s an assumption that you shouldn’t queue actions at all, and you shouldn’t click anything. This isn’t correct and I’ll give a better explanation below: Let’s say you start an improve action, and you decide to examine the item. This will not close the rarity window. This is because the action was input first, even though the examine is an instant action. This is because it’ll still work off that input time of the action, as the rare roll is tied to that action, it will honor that unless you stop the improve action. This was tested via prayer. Between each prayer done for rare rolls, the altar was examined and it didn’t affect the rate or chance of getting the rare roll when praying. The big takeaway for this is if you want to comfortably hit your rare windows and get those rolls, don’t let an action go over 30 seconds, stagger your input time, and bind your keys if you can. Avoiding the right click context menu for things is not only better for your sanity and hands, but makes everything much more comfortable.

Going through this thread again. Some amazing new buildings since I last went through this. Anyone got any more pictures? Ill add some of mine. This is my large keep building at Goldwyn Castle on Release. Doesn't serve a purpose but to fill space and make the deed look huge. Which is it. O21 if anyone wants to see it in person.

I could participate more often. But I have a problem seeing green on green. And I have to select pieces in paint.net and, with hellish efforts, look for the right place on the map. I already have 3 cards hanging in the air. If the topology doesn't match, most of the time I can't decipher the map.

It is, but the way it is used matters a lot. It's like a spice, a bit of it can enhance things, sure. But a lot of it just screws over your dish. One problem with RNG is that if you just do random rolls for an entire game population, which is by far the most used implementation, you end up with a "long tail" of people who have incredibly bad luck, which is frustrating for them, especially because there's also a tail of people who have incredibly good luck. For example, if you have one 10% chance each day of getting a widget, and there are 1000 people (and these numbers are approximate of course): First day: 100 people get it, 900 don't. Second day: 10 of the 100 people who got it yesterday got it again, 90 people who didn't have one yesterday did get one today. Also, 810 people still have nothing. (total population is 10 with 2 plus 90 with 1 first day plus 90 with 1 second day plus 810 with 0 = 1000) Third day: one of the 10 people who got two now gets another, and has three total. They're accused of hacking by the 729 people that still have nothing. Fourth day: someone might get their fourth today but with a population this size, chances are against it. There are likely to be more people who get their third. 90% of the people that had zero yesterday still get nothing, so 656 people are without. Well, it keeps going. Seventh day: now a week in, 478 have nothing, while some people have started showing off a curated collection. There is unrest on the forums. Fourteenth day: 228 people with nothing. 21th day: 209 people with nothing. There are starting to be people who have seven. 28th day: 52 people with nothing. People complain their character is bugged. Etc. There's a reasonable possibility that one or two people still have nothing after two full months, if they haven't given up by then. That takes one-in-a-thousand bad luck, but with a thousand people someone's going to get that. This would be a crappy and often unfun way of distributing said widgets.

[xx:xx:xx] You are too mentally exhausted to do that now. [xx:xx:xx] You have 0 seconds left. Can we get this removed from Southern Freedom Isles / Choas pls. Paying to play the game and would appreciate not being forced to stop due to this mechanic. Northern Freedom Isles can just cross through the portal between PvP/PvE and bypass this and skill until their hearts are content.

I had to go hunting for what that did. Looks like it adds a modifier similar to stomach wounds, but in the opposite direction. I'll update the document to reflect this. I used the notes section of mine to display that. Adding 10% to the chart without a proper notation saying it had exceptions could lead to confusion.
