Sure, people want treasure, not trash. But to me, opening a treasure chest, and seeing a single item inside, would be disappointing, regardless of how good the item is. The filler (when awarded WITH the good items) gives the treasures character. As if some ancient Wurmian pirate squirreled away some valuable animal skins, some gold / silver nuggets, and other random items. The maps aren't about just getting the filler, and I agree, a treasure that was just filler items would be not worth it at all, but without filler, the main loot doesn't feel as special.

Lets cheer him up by poking him with many sharp objects!!! It's been a little while since our last Public Slaying, but here, for your pleasure FUNK presents to you the slaying of a Goblin Leader Goblin Leaders give a unique 'Fearless' title if you don't already have it, and blood that will make a Mining Imbue, very useful for pulling ore HIGHER then the QL of the vein. The slaying will take place Saturday at 5:00pm EDT For the location, it is M-16. If you know where the old Cadence Buddhist Monastery is, it's just down the east side of the mountain from there. The mountain is pretty steep, but it is traversable by Large Cart if you're careful about picking your path. I think the flat spot at the top of the mountain will be a good place to gather right before the slaying. Feel free to bring mats for a stall and place merchants. I'll try to have one with some good fully enchanted weapons. The actual slaying spot is covered in olive trees, and from the Monastery it's just a sort trip...in fact the Monastery MIGHT be in local, but I'd make my way down the mountain right before the slaying just to be sure. RULES: No large carts, wagons or Hell horses anywhere near the fighting AND, because the Goblin Leader is really quite small, no horses. That's right, no horses please. They simply block to much LOS to such a small target Also, please listen to my instructions right before the slaying. As usual I'll try to make sure people who need the title get it Here is the easiest way I've always found to get to the old Monastery. Route to Goodmeadow. Once you're looking at the front gate, turn and head south....you won't be following a road. 15 to 20 tiles you'll see a path, and there will be a pointing sign pointing you up the mountain on a 1 tile path. The path (mostly) directs you to the Monastery, however the path is incomplete in places...just keep following the ridgeline up. when you're at the very top of the mountain, look down the ridgeline and you'll see the terraformed remains of the deed

OK, so we have horse statues and hell horse statues. But what we REALLY need is sheep statues. We're in dire need of more ways to honour backbone of our Wurm community, so I humbly suggest sheep statues. Sheep statuettes too, so if you're on the road and suddenly need to pet a sheep you have a handy dandy pocket sheep statue! I can't be the only one who's had that issue. PS - yes I am serious. PPS - and maybe spotty sheeps?

Any idea where to try? If you remove the Examine the map for check location, please at least some alternative feedback mechanism and/or disable the "Dig for treasures" everywhere unless it is close enough to the location. Currently I can swim and Dig for treasure in middle of the ocean with a shovel...

We've edited the colour palette slightly for the maps to be more accessible - maps generated after the next test server update will have the new colours. For those that have been having issues with the colours, please let us know if they're better than previously. Edit: Next client update also adds a right click option on hint circles to hide them.

Contour lines will be on (newly generated) maps next time the test server restarts.

Look, we all know the situation; You're being chased by a dragon. You're co-ordinating with your team but you've not gotten everyone into the team chat. You right click a teammate to invite them, and in the heat of the moment you're faced with all these buttons You scurry your eyes down the list and "invite to join" catches your eyes and you press it and- You just invited them to your deed. How were you to know? You could deduce it from "Team up" and "Form alliance" being the other actions you could do which leaves "invite to join" as "invite to join my deed" But it seems like it should simply be tweaked to be "invite to deed" - you know what that button is going to do then, you don't think it'll invite you to join the team or the alliance - it's invite to deed! I want to draw a crowd at least 100 strong to protest this confusing naming convention, to Bruce's Flying Circus, N13, at this time There'll be butchering bloods and scale and a strange bone to pass around and this totally isn't a bribe but y'know - get there early so the priests aren't teleporting an army!

My main complaint right now about how the maps have changed is if I wanted to do Archeology to locate a cache i would just do Archeology. We are being forced to actually just do an Arch grind now for high end maps as the maps give no hints or clues on the map that can guide you in the right direction. I do not want to spend hours searching for a disbanded deed or one that was planted when servers launched for hours on end I have searched the entire circle and found a ton of deeds but none of which were the one that I needed.
  10. 3 points
I am pretty sure this is correct. Not every item is going to be the high-end items. The filler gives the chests some character, plus the post said they'd be of generally higher QL, which is useful. I don't think it is a bad idea to have these.

Summary Your time, as a player, is valuable. Frequently you need a way to get home, quickly — perhaps with a horse, or a wagon, or a ship transporter — and you're prepared to pay for the privilege. Many games allow you to do this. Stone Circles allow you to do it in Wurm. You can't just zip about. You still need to explore and touch a stone circle before you can add it to your personal network, and each journey costs something. Creating a Stone Circle Create a 3x3 tile flat area at least 100 dirt above sea level, off deed. Create 14 menhirs and one dolmen, from any type of stone you prefer. The menhir is an upright standing stone, decorated with runic carvings that glow slightly once the circle is complete. The dolmen is a capstone that is supported by two menhirs to form a portal arch. Create a Stone Circle by combining a menhir + dolmen and then adding further menhirs until complete. Similar restrictions apply as to a guard tower. You can only begin or continue construction in the middle of a 3x3 tile flat area, at least 80 tiles away from the nearest active stone circle. Each Stone Circle will have a name, which will default to "Playername's Stone Circle" and which can be changed by the creator (or a GM, if need be). Once constructed, players in the vicinity will hear the wind whistling through the stones. This will be similar to the ambient sounds heard on steppes and in caves. Activating a Stone Circle After completion the circle must be infused with power. This can be accomplished through one of the following proposed methods, in ascending order of complexity/cost: Enchant the circle with a spell or spells to be decided (initial proposal: Wind of Ages (Vyn), Life Transfer (Fo), Light Token (Mag), and Dark Messenger (Lib) — counter proposal, just Courier / Dark Messenger). Buy a Druid Contract from a trader and use it on the circle, as you would use a merchant contract on a stall. Buy a contract and get the enchant spell(s) cast. How to use a Stone Circle Enter the circle and use the portal arch. You will be shown a list of available destinations — basically, all the active stone circles that you have personally touched, on this server — and also the cost of this journey. The basic rule is that everything you bring into the circle will be transported. This includes your inventory and equipment, your mount or vehicle, and any animals that you're leading. After selecting your destination and assuming you can pay, pow. You're teleported using the same mechanism as various other spells. Cost Of Travel One player on foot: 1 Karma per tile from the source to the destination circle Minimum cost 500 Karma Players may pay in gems instead of Karma, a 1 QL gem being equivalent to 10 Karma points. Double the cost to bring a riding animal. Suggested price 600 Karma, or give a gem to the Druid, or Donation or sacrifice of items worth X Favor(?) Suggested price modifiers: +10% if dragging a cart +20% for each animal led or ridden +50% if riding a large cart +100% if riding a wagon or creature transporter +200% if riding a ship transporter Comments, Problems, Protests But I want to explore! You are free to explore just as much as you want to. In fact, this proposal encourages you to explore further afield than before, because once you discover a stone circle, you can use it to return home quickly. This doubles your exploration range per hour of play time. Stone circles don't make much difference until you don't want to explore any more. It's too difficult to set up I expect that there will be plenty of players who have more than enough time, energy, and Masonry skill to build these circles, and even on NFI there should be no shortage of priests able to cast the needed spells. We don't need one of these at every deed. You just need something to cut your journey time shorter. It's too cheap Prices can be adjusted, depending on demand. The base comparison point is that any player, without any effort, can teleport back to their home deed from anywhere for 1000 Karma (without a mount). Going to the effort of building/enchanting/discovering stone circles ought to be rewarded with decreased cost. (There's another possible comparison point with the Favor cost of a Summon spell, which I personally am not as familiar with.) It's too expensive Prices can be adjusted, depending on demand. The Developers have more important things to do with their time Certainly there are lots of demands on their time. Personally I think that this would improve quality of life, travel and trading possibilities for many players... but of course it's up to the developers to decide what's a priority. All we as players need to consider is what we really want the game to offer. Yes but No to moving carts, ships, and all that. That would destroy trade. I accept that this is a concern. There are two possible avenues here. One would be to increase the price multiplies so that taking anything more than your mount would become prohibitively expensive, meaning that it would only be used rarely. Another is to make this work the same as Summon, Town Portal, and Farwalker items, i.e. only moving a person and no mount. (Note the modified modifiers above. This is an attempt at a compromise that most players will support.)

I was working on a 97 ql treasure map last night and this morning and i've pretty much given up. I spend hours marking out the disbanded deed with pack tiles, digging for treasure all along the perimeter, and nothing. The clue says "somewhere near by" and i have no idea how far away it could be from a 50x50 tiled deed 😕. It is a disbanded deed you have to find with archaeology, total nightmare clue. The clue does have a huge X in the north part of the deed, but combing the area north of my pack tiles produced nothing.

Please make this one of those statues which has the potential to come in metal, alloy or moonmetal flavors. Should I ever end up with an adamantine sheep statue, it goes to Olaf.

Customization always get a big idiot-grin two-thumbs up from me. I think ships and vehicles should have slots where stuff can be applied/installed and then displayed. E.g. currently all rowboats are depicted with fish-keep nets whether they have one or not. All wagons are shown with a water keg. What I imagine would probably be a ground-up rebuild, though, because I would like to see the elements of the vehicles installed via slots (and therefore replaceable). E.g. different styles/materials of wheels; white cedar masts on a red oak boat; that kind of thing. I would say no to the random destruction, but there are other mechanics that have been suggested for slow, limited return of heavily landscaped abandoned areas to more natural configurations. Rents - I can see some potential here, but would wonder about the market for it. Beds can have rent charged - but how many do? I am not sure what the main difference is between a rented plot and small deed, though (unless you mean even smaller than the smallest deed).

In the wild, I have observed the presence of the "mature troll" on more than one occasion. There certainly are young and adolescent trolls. Aged, old and even venerable trolls are not unknown. Angry, raging and scared trolls are not that uncommon. Some may even consider themselves to be sly or champion trolls, though this seems a bit questionable. If penned up in an underground chamber and given enough food, you can even end up with a fat troll. However, there is not now, nor has there ever been, nor could there ever be such a thing as a mature troll. Trolls in that life stage should properly be named "immature troll."

Customization...This suggestion I love! As with DaletheGood I am always in favor of customization and I really would love to see figureheads on ships. I think they give the ship a personality. I don't have a priest so I can't comment on that one. Rental cities might be nice in theory but I have a feeling "Complex undertaking" might be an understatement. As for random destructive events...if I wanted my deed to be destroyed I'd play on PVP so Please No! As for the last suggestion I'm up in the air about that. The game really does need to be much more new player friendly but there are so many other options for that starting with a better tutorial.

I'd be in favor obviously for the customization of things, have always advocated for more variety across the board in this game. The priest thing, I'm kind of in favor of, but don't feel that qualified to speak on since I only have one under-developed priest. The others I'd have to say meh (rentals) or no (the other 2) to.

CHEAP TOOLS and MORE Looking for the perfect rare tool with 100+ casts? You're at the WRONG store. Just need to get the job done faster? You're in the right spot! Add the price of the tool and the highest cast together for final cost. TOOL QL + CAST 70ql -25c 50-59 10c 80ql -40c 60-69 20c 90ql- 60c 70-79 30c 80-89 40c 90+ 60c WHETSTONE just pay for cast TOOL BELTS 6 slot tool belts - 30c 7 slot tool belts - 40c 8 slot tool belts - 60c LANTERS 50c (pre dyed white, so very bright) PLATE SETS Steel plate set with AoSP casts A WORD ON PLATE ARMOR Biggest complaint I hear about plate is "you cant run in it".........so? Thats what horses are for. This is not PVP, monsters don't target your horses and kill them out from under you like players do. Is drake and scale better, of course it is, but not by much (steel adds +2.5% defense). If you're looking just at base defense steel plate is better than drake, but drake has better glance rate. Armour - Wurmpedia LEATHER & STUDDED LEATHER SETS with AOSP casts CLOTH ARMOR SETS HORSE GEAR SETS DYE You can request a color but keep in mind, armor does not dye evenly. Find a color online, get the code, make it, add to armor and looks COMPLETELY different. For this reason, I will not make specific colors, but I don't charge to add something close to what you want. Want to see it or get it faster, PM me in game. I try to check the post daily but forget sometimes. I'm adding items all the time so check back often Please leave a comment to keep my store active, I hate to "bump" it. Looks like no one is buying even when selling.

Not many people know, but Kristof and I had a lot of real life emergencies happen within a very short time, including finding a new place to live and several health issues. To say I've been stressed is an understatement. We weren't able to play for the past few months, but several people in the community reached out to check on us. Heck, some even went above and beyond what I could ever expect. Because of them I was able to stave off a lot of bad things. I know the community gets a bad rap much of the time. I do think there's some things we can improve on in the long run, but this time, I couldn't be more proud to be a Wurmian. Thanks for all you do, people of Wurm! Pandy

So, @Archaedthinks archeology is great, and instead writing him DM I decided to write this post. I've been planning to do so in a long time, just was too lazy mostly to be honest. For me, archeology is done poorly in many frustrating ways and as someone with almost 98 archaeology skill and 99.48 restoration skill here are my remarks. The randomness, materials, runes and bad enchants OMG the randomness of stupid runes you get from restoring items, must I comment that. Most of the runes are useless, and even those who are good are in the wrong things. Having chance to extract runes, and having way to add extra rune slot to existing item of your choice somehow would make runes from archeology much more satisfying. Also randomness of materials, if I get rare tool fragment and it turns out not to be iron or steel when I complete it, well, I can just sit, cry and curse my faith and day I started playing this game. I heard some weirdos like to get gold hammer, but not me. Having a way to transmute metals( to be clear, transformation would be just among same tier, regular metals, alloys and moonmetal, so no iron to steel, but bronze to steel for example) would be much useful, and not to mention would add value to alchemy. Nobody wants to play roulette for finished product, roulette for parts you can customize is another thing. Also moonmetals, i get moonmetal frags should be rare, but current state is ridiculous, I cleaned and discovered god knows how much fragments, from very old deeds, and very long time ago disbanded also and i got only one, repeat only one moonmetal plate fragment so far... also tokens that could be nice source of moonmetals for imping are not smeltable. I get that getting full weight of token would be overkill, but atleast allow to smelt them for some portion of its mass. And lastly enchants, I have over 99 restoration FFS and never in my life I have got useful enchant with over 30 power combing fragments from 70 year old deeds, if that's not enough to tell system is bad I don't know what is. Enchants are mostly annoyance, like on nails and branches where you can't bsb them instead of something usefull. I think it would much better to get CoC lump for example rather than enchanted nail. Bad fragment categorization It so frustrating how fragments are categorized. Branches and shafts should not go to weapons, they should be wood fragments. Nails and ribbons shouldn't be tools, should be metal fragments, carving knives, butchering knives, etc should not be weapons frags, should be tools even though WS is used to imp them, If i recall correctly only file, and throwel are categorized as tools, not even hatchets and pickaxes... Sorting them like suggested would make much more easier to filter appropriate runes and enchants on them would mend randomness and uselessness of enchants to certain limits Wood fragments Having special archeology woods is cool, although I personally am not fan of anything wooden that isn't cedar/oak but I get why people would like them. But, special arrow shafts are wasted opportunity, those fragments should be replaced with planks fragments( maybe 6 or 10 would be needed to finish planks so it would not be overpowered). Adding another rare tier with low chance with rift woods like moonmetal frags for metals would be interesting. Also, being able to find and restore ancient PMK wagons and banners is something that i would like to see a lot, even if it would be only be possible while investigating on Chaos like someone recently suggested. Statues, statuets and masks This one I will admit to Archaed, i belive Statues are spot on with reward vs spent time, they are not easy to complete and enough unique to get satisfaction when you finish one, and yet not so hard you would give up hope of ever completing one number of fragments needed is spot on for me to make archaeology interesting, best part of Archaeology for sure. Statuetts are fun, but i find them hard to find some that are alloys, good forbid moonmetals, masks so, so, mask of shadows is the one that looks cools, other not so much, they are so abundant that it's quite cheap to make any profit from them or get any satisfaction. Storage And finally, lack of storage where fragments won't decay on deed makes me sad. Ideally i would just allow cleaned/uncleaned fragments to go to bsb, would make life so much easier for sorting by ql, type and name. Saving 90+ ql armour frags to combine whith eachother for me would be worth if i don't have 90+ armour skill for example...Or storing statue fragments without magic chest, But i don't think putting in bsb is possible because of informations that fragments carry that would be lost in bsb, even with cleaned ones, someone correct me if i'm wrong. So any other way of mass storage that would uttilize sorting and saving them from decay on deed is desperatly needed. So, i'm curious what do you guys think about it? Is archaeology good or bad? What would you like to see changed? P.S. Also, just came to mind, there is a matter of lacking clear explanations of what you should aim for when searching, and how all of it works. how to max chances to get complete report, how to get better frags. WU code is riddled with all kind of interesting conditions. Like, it seems that wild grass tiles are the best, and paved tiles are worst, which make sense, if tile is cluttered with items thats bad, number of fences around tiles is also very bad as it goes up, deed inhabited for 10 years but disbanded 50 years ago is as good as deed inhabited for 50 years but disbanded 10 years ago, bonus of beeing into enemy teritory for pvp doesn't seem to bring anything significant, and seems to me that with very high skill all those bonuses are not that important and are being capped by skill. Moonmetal frags are only possible from caches, etc. Would love somebody with more experience in code digging shed some light on it, i just dropped a glance over it.

Hello friends! My apologies for the lack of updates as this has been getting closer and closer... I'm excited to say that it's almost time for the impalong!!!! We have a veritable wealth of fabulous volunteers, a treasure trove of materials to utilize, some amazing buildings and a wonderful arena for some antics to be had in. Events galore and prizes to be won, donations have been flowing in from extremely charitable people all across the servers. I am in awe of how incredibly kind so many of our fellow players are and I am so excited to see each and every one of you come here to take part in this community event. On to the gritty details: I have been lackluster in the administrative duties so far and as such would be incredibly grateful if anyone had the capacity to assist with the daily administration of the event itself! This would include details such as being a runner between stations, delivering tools, hosting events and performing various upkeep duties as the day progresses. If you are able to assist with this please PM me in-game, or send me a message here on the forums so we can discuss the role further Challenges and events will be released in more detail no later than June 13th Y'all are welcome to come stay at the deed starting on the 16th - I have beds at the inn available, and will have stations set up for folks to get their tools ready beforehand etc. Thank you so so so so so much everyone, 16 days to go!

The randomness, materials, runes and bad enchants I think that the negatives of a rare non-iron tool are overblown - a copper tool takes 15% more damage, but the supreme damage reduction (19%) more than offsets that. I don't want to take away your feeling however, it leads to some nice cheap supremes. But the runes are where you'll find me completely agreeing - the runes are completely hamstrung, with the runes we use often (harvest QL) being disabled from rolling - kneecapping that real lottery roll of a once-in-a-lifetime great item. For the enchants I haven't had coc nails in a while, have I just been lucky? I really miss the negative enchants, like imagine getting a -99woa hammer. Bad fragment categorization This seems to be a bug that may need resolved. Here's the relevant code: it takes the item the fragment will form, and checks its Types in order. When it succeeds, it stops. else { builder.append("unidentified "); if (getRealTemplate() != null && getAuxData() >= 65) { if (getRealTemplate().isWeapon()) { builder.append("weapon "); } else if (getRealTemplate().isArmour()) { builder.append("armour "); } else if (getRealTemplate().isTool()) { builder.append("tool "); } else if (getRealTemplate().isStatue()) { builder.append("statue "); } else if (getRealTemplate().isHollow()) { builder.append("container "); } else if (getRealTemplate().isRiftLoot()) { builder.append("rift "); } else if (getRealTemplate().isMetal()) { builder.append("metal "); } else if (getRealTemplate().isWood()) { builder.append("wooden "); } } builder.append(this.name); return builder.toString(); } the issue comes from isWeapon being checked so soon - since there's no wooden weapons (I think) in the pool, a far better organizing would be: else { builder.append("unidentified "); if (getRealTemplate() != null && getAuxData() >= 65) { if (getRealTemplate().isRiftLoot()) { builder.append("rift "); } else if (getRealTemplate().isArmour()) { builder.append("armour "); } else if (getRealTemplate().isStatue()) { builder.append("statue "); } else if (getRealTemplate().isHollow()) { builder.append("container "); } else if (getRealTemplate().isWood()) { builder.append("wooden "); } else if (getRealTemplate().isTool()) { builder.append("tool "); } else if (getRealTemplate().isWeapon()) { builder.append("weapon "); } else if (getRealTemplate().isMetal()) { builder.append("metal "); } } builder.append(this.name); return builder.toString(); } This should solve each example you gave into the categories you mentioned. Despite me going through the code here I definitely do not have the brainpower to delve the code you mentioned in the P.S. Wood fragments The lack of planks certainly hurts but I don't think the arrow fragments are a problem - sure, they're not good, but this is a system that needs junk. It's archaeology, sometimes you're gonna dig up their trash. Storage I put my non-statue/mask fragments into renamed amphorae in a steel vyn runed amphora rack and most have not taken damage for rl years. Not ideal, but it's so good.

I think there are some technical things to consider for a landslide: There are mountain generated with high dirt slopes. Some of those are not passed by players so you would basically have generated mountains having dirt fall off them. Maybe they take into account how thick the dirt layer is... For a mountain slope of 100 a dirt layer of 5 dirts should probably not landslide. But if there is a slope of 100 but it's all dirt it could landslide. It might be that a lot of the map is getting some activities... explorers, etc. This would result in basically nothing happening :).

It would be the best if we had nautical compasses for higher compass making skill, so we also add more stuff to do for compass makers. How ql would affect it I dunno, because what we want is for it to work while the ship is moving. It can just be somethiing you can make at 80 compass making or something and QL doesn't matter. The low-cost fix would be just getting the compass to permanently settle while on ship - think of it as being stationary and holding you compass on deck or something.

I have literally said over and over the entire post and replies NOT IN AREAS OF THE MAP WITH DEEDS HIGHWAYS OR PLAYER ACTIVITY meaning if there's an active deed with say 200 tiles or a highway or someone walked past it in the last 6 months it wouldn't trigger at all and even if not it 'might' not but personally when I go around and everywhere in the world is terraformed into monstrously flat gargantuan dead deeds... it's unnatural but as above it wouldn't trigger in all that many areas because people have put highways all over the place haha but fine let's cross that one off

Yeah but let's look at it from 6 months in the future. Once players get accustomed to the new contents, low ql maps will either just be discarded because they have such filler items or just quickly sold off for maybe a silver in chat. Or even lower than that if too many people end up selling them. Filler is exactly that - something you use for padding before you get to the important stuff. People won't be treasure hunting for filler, see the issue? People want treasure. Not filler or trash items. That's the point of the update from the perspective of every player I've talked to about this new content. People want treasure. Not trash.

there was a talk about that kind of feature/s around the change to receive email when your upkeep is fading and the renewals.. you could be just about anywhere... will be good to just be able to login into your account and have the option to link/attach/w/e other accounts(alts) with other deeds.. so you can at a glance see all your upkeeps, maybe summary.. and some easy way to pop +x silver to all upkeeps or add a silver or gold coin to specific deed's upkeep from the web.. if you mess it up.. it's probably ok to be forced to go ingame and drain token, etc.. to fix such mistake..

lock picking is already a thing, random locked chests in the world is an epic thing. I don't think this system benefits from locked chests.

I really gotta say that all the time I played Wurm I had this feeling that Wurm development team knew how to prioritize what is most useful, impactful, meaningful. Not only that but also to what extent to take those ideas and get something to the players that they can enjoy. In fact I had this feeling when I started Wurm for real, as I had a few false starts before in the no animation age, and I was so pleased to see all the customizability - both players and houses. It wasn't anything comparable to Aion or whatever but it got the game past the level of players not being able to have a distinguishable presence in the game. I really appreciate you guys looking into player feedback, player suggestions, even those online reviews. It is still you guys who get the hard work to keep a clear vision of what the game is and wants to be to make sense of all this feedback and turn it into something applicable and truly enriching to Wurm. Now about the video, one thing I noticed that I have said before is that a lot of this "what is the idea in this game" is a bit lost. E.g. I've spoken with people who played the game and they are astonished to see how long it took to mine a tunnel and whne they see 100 tiles mined they just extrapolate and think "this is impossible for me". They do not know the idea is that timers decrease as the player progresses. Another example, not from the video, is how PvP is portrayed as just PvP - this does not tell the player how in fact it's 3 realms fighting each other with both home servers with a more tame atmosphere and a more perilous central, contested island, where players can even for their own kingdom. A lot of people assume you are just getting griefed and robbed all the time. This can be about anything like the purpose of the event tab, the idea behind improving your gear for better timers, the idea of player made items as opposed to quest drops, etc. Some people might be transitioning from completely different MMOs and a simple technical introduction to Wurm might not be sufficient.

I also tend to just make the shafts (that come out with runes/enchants) into pegs -- potentially can go alot further with crafting other items

Elephants - massive, hard to kill rare animals with tons of meat and ivory - decorative material for jewelry, desert spawn Rinhos - like elephants Antelopes - something like deer, but desert spawn (best would be savanna, but we dont have savanna in Wurm...) Dolphins - something like shark, but non aggro Mountain goat - live highly in mountains, can climb very stepp area White wolf - we have black wolf, why not white? Wolves are mostly white, not black Witch (She's a witch, she's a witch!) - just witch
