There are nearly 900 pages of suggestions, and NO indication as to what is/has/wont be put in game. And to be fair, the Developers have a RL and don't always have time to browse the forums for ideas. Wurm needs to grow as a game, but in order to do so it need a specific Staff member who is paid(cause suggestions is and will always be a full time job) to go through the suggestion forums and bug forums, filter out the ideas that don't fit in Wurm, and concisely sum up and present the rest in a fashion that makes it easy for the current Development team to implement the ideas. This really shouldn't be a part of the 'community relations' job either: Some suggestions are very near and dear to some Wurmians, and having to filter out the suggestions and keep it inline with Wurms 'road map' will cause a lot of of backlash. community relations is supposed to be about keeping the community working as a whole, and to be staff's mouthpiece when necessary. Backlash here just makes things harder to deal with. Suggestions moderator would be the the communities mouthpiece to Developers, but they have to let the community be individuals to let it happen. backlash here is necessary. 'conflict breeds invention' Wurm's product manager and community manager would also work closely with this individual, both to keep them informed of bugs, but of other possible suggestions that may be noteworthy.

There were already many topics about vehicles/ships cluttering the servers. Many people do not want increased decay for abandoned vehicles/ships neither ability to lockpick them after some time, couse they afraid that if they come back to game after a few months, it will be gone. On the other hand, many people do not want tons of those cluttering many places, especially starter towns. Those two matters can be combined. Void mechanic (PVE only): - player is inactive for some time (let it be 3 months or any set time) - his vehicle/ship is off-deed or in starter town in that time - given period of time passes -> vehicle/ship goes into void, thus being removed from server and left in database (with everything inside) - when player logs in and tries to manage this vehicle/ship, he gets message like "Due to your inactivity, your vehicle/ship went into void. Do You wish to summon it right now?" - when player click yes, it will spawn at his current location It's only for PVE and hard to abuse, couse it needs a long time to despawn the vehicle into void.

bind H "toggle wikisearch" I used to hit this button when I needed a reminder, type in the word(s) that would take me to the correct page on the wiki(without having to use the mouse), then read it on my second monitor. After the in game wiki was implemented you have to use the mouse regardless and it takes longer to find the article you need. I miss the old way and would love for it to be added back as an optional way of searching the wiki.

I agree, it's only misleading darnok that any of that have chance to be implemented, and wastes other's time for suggestions.. Question remains.. what is the proper channel to give feedback for qol and such.. for UI or features.. that are dated.. and badly could use some update to prevent carpal, etc..

Pretty sure Ark meant to develop the game. Yes, the focus should be on developers and 1-2 community people to keep us informed. There's no reason to organize a suggestions subforum when there's not enough staff to implement anything.

I think it's about time to seriously consider a full merge. The markets will be unstable for a while and will then settle down. Prices will probably fall, on average, if only because all sellers and buyers will have access to one another. I can see why certain players would feel unhappy about their lucrative NFI businesses losing profitability, but I don't think they have any moral basis for deserving sympathy. At the end of the day, the advantages of having a unified player base ought to outweigh the disadvantages of... eh... a larger play area with more old deeds.

Are you a Priest that has a "unique set of skills" that are sinful to use? Are you a Priest that likes to do missions only to scream at the screen when that "Decent" mission pops? Then this thread is for you. There are two ideas, which I wanted to suggest to our great Dev team. ---The "sinner" a title debuff for priests: this is a title(to tag in PvP) a priest would get when they use a daily cool down as a priest. this Cool down would allow the priest to do actions that would normally remove faith for a set time like improving(suggested 2 mins per faith point) without losing faith. While they are being a sinner, all spells are either revoked, cost 2x the favor(or more), or effectiveness halved, etc. -this idea is to allow players to use skills that they spent a great amount of time to gain yet only to have them be wasted while they are a priest. while also allowing them to keep the faith they also spent time to gain, for missions and to spice up their game play if they don't have alts or have money to keep alts prem. ---The "devoted" Priest: the last priest overhaul introduced follower abilities; mag gets metal working bonus, vyn gets wood/ clay, Lib gets leatherworking, fo gets cloth. - in addition to these bonuses I suggest that a priest be able to improve their bonus type of armour and the ql capped by their faith. Mag gets plate/chain, lib gets studded/leather, fo and vyn get cloth. ALSO allowed to improve 1 weapon and shield type; lib gets tool(like scythe and sickle) and wooden shield, mag gets sword metal shields, fo gets maul and metal shields, vyn gets club and wooden shields.( ideally only 1 weapon 1 shield type to be determined). ---Creative thoughts: *The idea is to allow people to complete missions that require improving but also allow people who become priests to be able to pvp without needing alts; but at the cost of cookiecutter styles of the diety's preferences. ****Originally i wanted Lib with leather, Mag with chainmail, fo with Cloth, and Vyn with plate. but since Vyn can't mine there was a problem unless we change how plate is made; plate is now made with clay molds and any lump. The ql of the plate is determined by the clay mold ql. Since Vyn can't mine she can get lumps by smelting iron rock which is rummaged. Steel can be made by smelting coal with the iron rock or iron lump.

[22:27:16] A leather saddle complete with a girth and stirrups. This is a very rare and interesting version of the item. The saddle has some excess leather that needs to be cut away with a leather knife. [22:27:16] You can easily make out the signature of its maker, 'Timothymarker'. [22:27:16] Wind of Ages has been cast on it, so it will be quicker to use. [103] Starting bid: 8 silver Minimum increment: 50 coppers No private bids please, no reserve, no buyout. Auction runs for 3 days.

In other words, I had a lot of Fun with this one's tether The results are in. The dragon's anaemic, and the only cure is a full blood transfusion! So bring your weapons and let's beat all of his blood out! It's on the south edge of K13. The deed, "The Pawd," is on the highway network. Getting there early is advised because even I don't know how to get there. It's not near enough the water for alts to be boat-parked.

Well, if from a technical standpoint the player is despawned at log off and respawned at logon, and pets are too, then hopefully it is easily programmable. It would be an elegant solution.

I think it would be far more appropriate for the current creatures to be adjusted accordingly first before adding any new ones... For example rats, seals, whales, spiders and etc. having the exact same sound que's/sound packs if i'm remembering correct. You get the drift.

Also while on topic...why do pigs get combat / speed / draft traits? They aren't battle boars, we have wild boars for that in the ecology of Wurm. Why do animals that can't be used for combat, riding or wagon pulling get these traits? It just seems the AH update added a huge RNG pool for the sake of having an RNG pool so that high level breeders get a mix of irrelevant traits more so than the previous system. Meanwhile for 3 bloody months players have been giving you their feedback how this is a terrible system and still nothing... Sure you lowered the chance for animals to get a negative trait, which was a good step in the right direction, but it shouldn't have been such a high chance in the first place. Again...player testing. But seriously....you do realise at this point that whatever update you will implement, the players are asking for a design similar to the old one right? Aka if you have 4 draft parents, there should be a HIGH chance to get a 4 draft (maybe even 5 draft) horse. Which is exactly what the old system was like! Literally this update made players want it changed to resemble the old update. What are we doing here? Game design wise, players will never accept this system unless it's made in a logical fashion and guess what....the old system, ancient and simple as it was, had logic. Oof this seems to be 2 steps forward, 1 step back. While I am glad we have the inspect window, new items and ways to feed animals, the overall breeding system won't ever please anyone unless it resembles the old one. Which begs the question who loves RNG so bloody much they want to spend months of their life killing 100s of horses (assuming you're one of those people having a 200x200 deed and can afford the ratio) just to get some decent 4 speeders (apparently one trait doesn't even work right from what I've read, so really they're 3 speeders) ? It's been 107 days since the AH update hit.... 3 and a half months and it's still not fixed. Meanwhile how the players perceive these events : 1. The Community Manager has left. 2. The utter lack of communication is destroying any semblance of confidence in the team and the future of Wurm. 3. Bugs are piling up. 4. More people are starting to wise up on how the dismal the population is looking. 5. We get another pointless skin before an actual update or communication. and of course the cherry on top 6. The VR news made people think we're talking to blizzard / activision at Blizzcon "Is this an out of season april fool's joke?" & "Do you guys not have VR?" I just can't anymore...do whatever you want with Wurm.

Skin is nice, but for me it does not fit for battle staff, rather for mage staff, so you can cast some spells. I really do not see striking with end shaped like a figurine of dragon.

The fears are largely pointless. Wurm population is in overall decline, read the threads measuring population data. They said "Freedom would die" when the Epic>Freedom skill transfer kicked in, but it didn't. Partially because there were so few Epic players left in the first place, partially because the market on SFI was so consolidated and oversaturated with goods, a few accounts didn't make a dent. If we wait until NFI drops to 200 players or less, the merge won't change anything. Personally I've seen that fracturing the community in clusters leads to people eventually quitting, leaving empty servers behind. Epic is an abandoned cluster. It's been an abandoned cluster for years and no new group have established a significant presence there. NFI at the moment is pretty much within the same historic parameters as Epic, in the sense that it is an isolated cluster, far removed from the old Freedom Cluster, SFI. No merge will eventually lead players to feel like they are gated on a few servers. This could have been partially avoided or mitigated if there were significant efforts to advertise at the steam launch that there was PLENTY OF SPACE on both SFI / Epic for new players to start, prime real estate is all over the place. And looking back, the main counterargument that "But we don't want new players in an established market being taken advantage of by the veterans. We don't want new players to realise they can't sell their wares competitively when weapons / gear are so cheap." ..... right. And the reality of having price gouging on NFI where things are sold at absurd prices is better? At least the competition on SFI is so high that you can always find a bargain due to the number of sellers. Personally I think we have too many servers, but closing any down would do harm to the people that worked / terraformed / played there. I don't see any solution other than perhaps adding a distinctive "feature" to every individual server or cluster to make them unique and appealing such as : 1. Epic - add the 2 way skill transfer with less skill from Epic transfered to freedom. Literally this is the #1 incentive no one plays there since your skill is isolated there. 2. Independence - increased body stam / climbing skillgain + add individual player goals to climb indy's mountains and "plant a sign" on top of the mountains there. Rewards can be in the form of moon metals, sleep powders, a climbing affinity token, etc. 3. Deliverance - increased religion / prayer skillgain (in line with the server's name), have missions / player goals dedicated for priests. 4. Pristine - increased swords skillgain, have goals to hunt a lot there and keep the server mob population reduced. You get the idea, but at this point I think servers could benefit from more of a unique touch, that tries to branch out to multiple playstyles, anything that encourages travelling, unique identities, etc. Merging them won't kill off wurm no more than having a skill transfer didn't kill freedom (currently SFI). The only thing I'm certain of is that the market needs "item sinks" for prices to stabilize, otherwise you can open 50 new "fresh" servers and nothing will change. The other thing I know is we have way too many servers and open space in them that it feels like a ghost town wherever you go.

This weekend I travelled to Fire Island to spend the weekend at the beach and stay on my parent's boat. I decided to take my puppy Wade on his first beach trip, and he had quite a blast. Lot's of dog's and people to greet. A giant ocean to swim in. Little fish to chase in the shallows on the bay side, oh and plenty of food to be eaten. Here are some pictures of his magnificent trip. His trip to Fire Island on a ferry. Lot's of sleeping to be had. visiting some family friends and sitting on their boat. He loves to sit at the table so he can look at all the food! Running in the ocean and finally after a long day of activity, taking a nice rest on the boat.

Epic is the readheaded stepchild that got forgotten in the basement. +1 again for a 2 way skill transfer, doesn't have to be 1:1, but with a formula to account for epic skilling

There's at least 3 with 10+ merchants - mine (Brambleheim) and Kasumi's (Greenwood Market), both on Release, are bricks-and-mortar markets with decorated shops, and Crafter's Legion Market on Xanadu has a dozen merchants run by a small team. NEXA and Club had 10+ prior to RMT ending but I think both are a bit smaller these days. I tend to find (mostly but not always) that the medium markets (6-15 stalls) are usually run by one to four players focusing on curated content and consistent pricing structures - e.g. an armour merchant, a weapons merchant, a tool merchant, a rares merchant etc, while the large markets (16+) have almost always been community markets with lots of players having one or two merchants there (so more chaotic inventories and prices ranging from super cheap to super pricey but more scope for finding something surprising/cool/old/forgotten), and the small markets (1-5) stalls are usually single-player endeavors that either have specialised inventories, or sell all sorts and a new merchant gets added to the lineup every time one runs out of space. So different sized markets are good for different purposes, but bigger isn't necessarily better. Some of the small markets have just two or three merchants but a full inventory of tasty rares, for example, while some of the big community markets have (historically at least) had, say, only half a dozen rare items for sale across two dozen merchants and at prices which haven't been changed in a year or more (for better or worse). But if you're bargain hunting and/or have mid-range equipment you're looking to upgrade piece by piece, big rummage markets can be brilliant for that. Curated markets tend to be more of an experience which you'll either love to bits or not give a crap about - mine and Kasumi's have little shop lined streets with merchants behind counters and 'stocked' shelves lining the walls. Neither of us are much use if you're wanting to rummage for surprise goodies but if you're on the hunt for something beyond enchanted equipment, for example, knowing there are PMK merchants, or furniture merchants or bloods merchants and so on at those markets is super valuable knowledge and we tend to get a handful of regular customers on top of the passing trade. TLDR - I'm here for all markets, big and small, so long as they're user-friendly, accessible and have something worth travelling to experience/buy.

Nice fanboi deflection. Fact is I suspect Game Chest to implement low hanging fruit strategies to milk this community for all they can while investing minimally back into the game we love. We haven't seen otherwise since the steam release. I'd love for someone at Game Chest to actually prove me wrong. I love this game, been in it since 2007 - but the recent patches and lack of communication from Wurm's actual leadership has me concerned.
