The Shroud is placed in what history has shown to be a very bad spot. Any kingdom that deeds to the North basically cuts out any chance of a BL group / player going that way, as it's a natural funnel and easy to cut off both on influence and passage. To get North atm you have to cross the Panda Landbridge which is clearly owned by Panda so not an Option Go West you're running to another funnel and another deed blocking you from going North/West - On top of that with the shroud being on basically it's own island, it's very easy and is currently being done - to block them in even unintetionally. It's just a very bad placement and I think there should be a second BL starter town to the very North west. Freedom has 3 Starter towns on chaos - The Landing - Gold Coast and Hunters Lodge - Hunters Lodge is basically in the centre of chaos and i feel sorry for anybody who choses to spawn there as chance to be rescued or find yourself off the server is pretty slim since you gotta pass through territories and all sorts to even attempt to sail or be sailed off- it's a bad spawn and you should remove it in favor of a 2nd BL starter town. For the health of BL - something I am not a part off, please make the change asap. Name suggestion: The Gallows So the purple sqaure at the south is basically as far as BL can go, everything else is blocked by influence/deeds. The red line is to show they have no passage there without being killed. To the north west i added where I think the new town should go. Hunters lodge in the centre of the map should be deleted as it's an awful place to have blocked anyway.

Me and Laval were setting up for the upcoming rift and kept getting attacked by Greenish Trolls. So I went after their king. Saturday May 22nd at 9PM Central a public slaying will be held and you are invited! The location will be disclosed 12 Hours before the slaying (Noon Central), however it would behoove you to land at "Dune" or "The Old Folks Home" and be prepared for a 10-20 minute inland ride. Huge thanks to Ajana, Taikee, and Rhunenfor their help!

Currently, whenever you go AFK, nobody in your local, village or alliance knows that you're AFK until they PM you and see the auto-respond message. This is a bit clumsy and only useful when someone PM's you, in most cases it is chat in local, village or alliance and no PM's. Whenever you do a /afk: - Either show "(afk)" next to your name in local, village and alliance chat automatically - or show a "zZz" (sleeping icon) next to the name. - Any other suggestion is welcome. these are just examples. Anything that will let everyone (local, village & alliance ) know that you're AFK without having to say brb every time will be an improvement. EDIT: As Drayka mentioned below, maybe something like a timer that meassures the time you have been inactive and toggling AFK on automatically accordingly and gradually changing the color of your name in local, village or alliance. Even if its only the color of the name changing, still a big improvement.

I'd love the option to plant wild reed tiles, for example around the edges of a pond or dock area. The options would be "Sow" to plant a farm tile as usual, or "Plant naturally" to create wild reed tiles. It would work only on tiles that have the option to "drink" from, since it's an aquatic plant. Update: This was added! Thank you dev team! I've already started planting the edges of my pond and it looks so much nicer Yay!

After the tutorial, when new players are choosing a server at the portal, the mouseover text for SFI reads as follows: “Chaos is PvP and all other Freedom Isles are NON-PVP environments for premium and free to play accounts. Theft is a risk in the Freedom Isles and you have the means and responsibility to secure your property and items using the required locks, structures, fences, and proper management.” No dire warnings about NFI though: “Freshly launched lands featuring three PvE and one PvP islands.” Theft should be mentioned in the description of both clusters (or neither), so new players do not wrongly assume it is only an issue on SFI.

Anyone upset in not seeing improvement in the game recently is a side effect of poor communication. Over-promising and under-delivering every few months will lead to negativity among players. I only started playing Wurm Online for the first time when the Steam servers launched, and since then have seen 3 iterations of development changes and awful communication on repeat. It follows the same trend and usually has a roughly 3-month iteration: An awful, anti-consumer change is made. They try to calm down the negative feedback saying "things will get better soon." Or worse - they decided it was fine and claimed the feedback was not a problem without solid logic. They announce something new coming around the corner to try and shift attention. People forget about the anti-consumer change and get hopes up for the next update. The next update launches, is underwhelming, and generally accompanies one of the aforementioned anti-consumer changes. I guess people might think I'm just being negative here, so let me cite all 3 instances I'm referring to. Priest Linking Changes - August 2020 Shortly after Steam launch, the August 10, 2020 Patch came with a significant nerf to linking between priests in order to gain skill. This is the anti-consumer change. The feedback thread is filled with attempts to put the fire out promising things will get better soon. Another patch was made on August 11, 2020 which reduced skill gain instead of reducing favor regeneration. The nerf changing minimum favor from 10 to 20 remained, and priest linking for skilling remains ultra nerfed to this day. People were continuing to argue about it, so what better way to put out the fire than to Announce Cadence on August 15, 2020. Imbue Nerfs & Moon Metal Introduction - December 2020 There was NFI Feedback thread on December 14, 2020 in which players discussed the current declining state of NFI and the splitting of the players among the servers. During this time, discussion about the future of the game came about and this comment was made. To the best of my knowledge just about none of this has been improved or resolved since the post was made. In terms of advertisement, I have not seen any increase in advertisement nor has their been any significant results from it if there has. In terms of updates, at this very moment it has been 44 days since the last update on April 1, 2021 which consists of 2 patch notes. This goes towards the inner workings of development/moderation since this doesn't seem to be a very efficient development process. Despite all this, they make an announcement the next week with Valrei Internation on December 22, 2020 where rifts, runes, and imbues are coming to NFI. Little did we know that they would instead completely gut all of it when it was added on December 29, 2020. The feedback in the thread was met with solid resistance claiming that it was necessary and they didn't just ruin hundreds of euros of investment from committed players without proper compensation. A few weeks later they begin pitching the "combat overhaul" in Valrei International on January 22, 2021. Combat Changes - March 2021 The combat overhaul is put into public testing on public testing on February 22, 2021. So many adjustments and issues were brought up in the feedback thread and were basically ignored. Some players claimed that combat had gotten significantly harder and their questions were never answered. No discussion along the lines of what was proposed, why it was or was not possible. No communication of why certain things were changed in certain ways, only a short list of changes with no context. The combat update was released on March 11, 2021. Communication on the success or failure of the combat update is basically non-existent. Follow-up changes based on how the community received it are never mentioned. The combat update wasn't even mentioned in the next VI or even the one after it. The next update is being pitched without even addressing the one that went out previously. In Conclusion Communicating with players is easy. The PvP Changes Feedback Thread was the last time I've seen good communication on display for Wurm Online. Treat them like human beings, don't be afraid to tackle difficult topics, lay out your reasoning in plain English, and just be honest when things aren't going as planned. You'll find that they treat you like a human being as well and will give a lot more slack when things aren't meeting their expectations. You improve communication, you improve community sentiment.

It could be a simple setting you can toggle on/off in UI-settings.
  8. 2 points
True, so it has to be careful on how it's implemented. Could either be only shown to people within your faction / alliance when on pvp. Or, a feature in the settings window that you voluntarily turn on

There's something been bothering me. The demand "it needs to be random!". What is random? Java-mathematically, even the random function itself is not "truly" random, it's just "random enough". Do we want a dragon randomly spawn in our bedroom? Probably not. So we add criteria, must spawn x distance from deeds. But that's what it does now... and we're not happy, apparently. I don't know about NFI and I would not be surprised if there is different mechanics there. But Xanadu has had unique spawns all over the places. Just saying. It's not broken if it works as programmed. If some people have figured out the logic of the program, then good for them. Still doesn't mean it's broken. If the logic gets changed, and rewards remain high, then someone will figure out the logic, take advantage of it, and we're back to "fix it". I have not found a single unique in 6 years. But it's one of my goals. That day will come! I've been to one private slaying just recently, I don't even know why I was invited. Lucky with my friends list, I guess.

That's just plain wrong!! Other players do try to find them and spend countless hours doing so. Saying we all hide on our deeds is an insult!!!! In fact I spend a majority of my time hunting off deed, you don't get to over 90 fs as I have sitting around the deed as you suggest!!! And in my travels I have yet to find any uniques! All the slayings I've been too have been hosted public slayings! With the exception of one that was lured to a rift. And if I was not on the forums as many players are not I would have never known of those public slayers either! That is not a system that works for the majority of players!

You can do that without unsubstantiated claims about uniques only spawning in one area alt spamming and packet sniffers just fyi, baseless claims like that just make people ignore your post because it seems inexperienced/biased. Even if they changed how they spawn, they'd still be found by the same people because of a core problem - they're the ones putting in effort to find them. No amount of spawning changes will change the fact that the large majority of people spend very little time off deed (We've had multiple changes to unique spawns over the last few years, from changing how they're found, whether or not they say globally when they spawn, the locations they can be found, all didn't change the fact that co-ordinated groups find the majority of them), often staying within a few locals of their deeds, and the groups who find uniques are putting in a few hours a day between all their members, spanning the entire map, climbing mountains going to places far away from deeds etc. If a unique spawns on a mountain for example, it's only gonna be found by either groups going out of their way to look in weird places, or some very adventurous person. You can see from past slayings that multiple are at the base of mountains wink wink Humorous that you quoted my location which is a meme (I haven't been to a private slaying outside of pvp servers in half a year myself), but if your post is weird claims I can see how an ad hominem would be your next go-to. If you're actually interested in unique hunting hmu and i'll set you up with a guide on how to hunt them instead of relying on some really stupid claims that are in your post.

🧉😗 This 'gon be good. Probably spawns in the middle of the map because people have deeded on the outskirts, and It's against the rules to sell silver / items for real world money. And if you're going to make claims like this you should go into detail on where you heard about it. Otherwise it just looks like you're trying to spread FUD.

As we can see there have been 29 Unique Dragon / Hatchlings killed in the last 7 months on NFI. 6 of them have been public, that leaves 23 of them private. I understand and have no issue with those doing the private hunts, it is how the game is set up currently, but I do agree that something needs to be done to make them more accessible to the broader community. I don't know the methods that people are using to find them, but it does seem to me that it is not as hard as some of those involved want to make it out to be, if they are spawning in the same areas and they simply are the first ones there to "capture" the unique. People talk about wanting more content added to the game, but here we have content that 99% of the player base has no access to. I don't care about the hide/scales, my concern is the game and the community and I wish to see both of those grow.

I'd like a "shoo" emote better than a slap. This would be useful in other situations too, eg. if you're trying to catch a wild animal that has wandered onto a deed, you could use this to herd it off deed where you can lead it. It would also offer a solution to the problem of accidentally leaving an unbranded horse on a deed and being unable to lead it again due to permissions. I really love the second idea of animals interacting with each other. It's definitely tedious to use a rope to manually move them from crowded tiles. They keep packing the same tiles even though they have enough space. Having them bite each other to get space is great, it would solve this pileup problem and add a little more life to the animals too. Any creature in crowded conditions, regardless of traits, could occasionally nip the other creatures and cause them to move away. It could cause a small bite wound but not put them in combat, similar to what happens when we emote at animals with the "overly aggressive" trait. Animals with the overly aggressive and fight fiercely traits could be more likely to bite or cause more damage when they do.

Stanlee's Vynorium Emporium & The 100 Channeling Celebration Sale Custom enchants for your favourite gear tl;dr: WoA or CoC prices, assuming I can dispel: 80+ = 45c 90+ = 65c 95+ = 1s 100+ = 1s90c I'm only ever Stanlee ingame. No alts. The 100 Channeling Celebration Sale: 20% off of CoC/WoA when you get a FREE Stan-made tool! The spells: The Vynora spell list boasts a great many useful enchants. When an enchantment is "conflicting," I cannot enchant it on an item that already has a conflicting enchantment without dispelling the conflict. These spells are, as far as I can tell, listed in Dispel Order, which is a concept explained in the next section. The main spells are: Nimbleness (Nim) - This enchant makes it easier for your weapons to hit. Conflicts with Wind of Ages. Wind of Ages (WoA) - This enchant makes actions faster, while keeping skillgain/hour stable (in theory. In practice, the WoA accelerates your journey towards tempering, switching to another mining vein, or any other low-gain action, causing a net loss in skillgain/hour). Fantastic for making castles from assorted rocks at high speeds! Even lets weapons swing faster. Conflicts with Nimbleness and Blessings of the Dark. Frostbrand (FB) - Causes your weapon to do an extra, smaller, wound as frost damage. Conflicts with Life Transfer, Flaming Aura, Bloodthirst, Rotting Touch and Venom. Aura of Shared Pain (AoSP) - Reflects a portion of damage you take to the attacker. So long as they hit that specific bit of armour. Conflicts with Web Armour. Lurker in the Deep (LITDe) - Lets a pendulum locate special fishing spots, and even gives it a chance to say what special fish is at those spots. Conflicts with all other Lurkers. Circle of Cunning (CoC) - This is usually the big ticket item. For every 1 power of the cast, skillgain (not characteristics) is improved by 1% (multiplicative). This means at 100 power, it's almost like having sleep bonus active again! Conflicts with Blessings of the Dark. Mind Stealer (MS) - "Killing a non-player creature with a weapon enchanted with Mind stealer may transfer skill points to the player. When a creature is killed, the game chooses a random skill or characteristic the creature has, and if the creature has more points in that skill than the player does, the player gains points in that skill. The amount of skill gained by the player depends on how much more skill the creature has compared to the player, and the power level of the Mind stealer enchantment." This spell has no conflicts. The power and its price: When I'm able to dispel a cast, I'm able to use less ropes by using a method known as Dispel Casting - basically, existing enchants make it harder to improve a cast (though having no enchant at all is just as hard as a 100 cast). Why would you be unable to dispel? Well, when you examine an item, the spells, runes, and imbues display in a particular order. For instance, WoA is always before CoC. So if you have a 109 WoA you don't want dispelled, and you want CoC, I can't utilize Dispel Casting to my advantage. Anyway, here's the PRICES: So if I can't dispel (due to an imbue, rune, cast sooner in Dispel Order, or shatter protection you wish to preserve) yet you still want a high cast, the price must reflect that. Since if I did operate at usual prices without Dispel Casting, I'd be operating at a loss. So here's the prices if you still want those high casts, but you require that I don't use dispel: The shatters: Unfortunately, shatters are almost unavoidable. While there's a chance that your casts will go well over what you pay for (hooray!), there's also the chance the item will simply blow up (boo!). While Metallic Liquids from rifts can prevent this fully, it also means I cannot dispel CoC or Mind Stealer. And while Seryll may also avoid it, who wants to use Seryll items? Barring these methods, a shatter is rolled on every cast; so the higher the enchant I aim for, the most casts I have to do, the more likely it is to shatter. Improving the QL helps, but this is extremely minimal past QL70. There's also a rune that can reduce the chance, but this turns a 1% into a 0.9%. Here's some numbers. I have no policy for replacing items that shatter. If reasonable, I may offer non-rare variants of items at the QL given, but I also completely understand finding a different caster if something you love shatters. *The 100 Channeling Celebration Sale*: To celebrate me reaching 100 Channeling I am offering 20% off of all CoC and WoA enchants, but only if you're getting an item/resource that I am able to provide! This includes things like: Steel Skillers Oak Skillers Iron Skillers you'll imp up the moment you have it anyway High QL Rock Shards And more things that I can shatter freely with no consequence! So it does not include things with existing enchants, runes, rarity, signatures beyond my own. "But Stan, isn't this identical to your last sale" yes

Current Problem Rift Participation Points should be awarded based on effort put in. Currently the system doesn't care about your skill or however much effort you put into fighting. The BEST way for someone to gain participation points is to go around spam targeting mobs in melee range in order to get a "tag". Then when the mob dies with your tag on it you get points. Imagine being an elite fighter around 90 fighting skill killing mob by mob and getting less points than someone who just started the game and isn't actually helping take on the rift. It's even worse for those that thought defensive fighting would be useful. Proposed Point System Points would instead be based upon the combination of Damage Dealt, Damage Healed, and Damage Mitigated. This benefits all forms of fighters and encourages more participation towards actually closing the rift and becoming a better fighter. All fighters who put work in will walk out with more reward and feel more achieved. Also, with damage mitigated providing points it would encourage tanks use their skills like taunting which would now have a major benefit. Additional thoughts These are some other things that might benefit from having points, but are not the main focus of this thread. Sacrificing hearts (I've heard it's currently 1), Butchering, and Burying. These would encourage ending waves quicker, and cleaning up the field. Potentially something good for those not too skilled in fighting. For those that wish to help this post grow and get more discussion PLEASE spread it to others. If you want change to happen in this game we need to band together and create a louder voice. Also, PLEASE provide reasoning as to why you support or oppose this idea.

Make a SuperPremium account that removes all priest restrictions. Price = about double. It's two characters in one. Could also add a few goodies like a sleep powder per month, or some QoL bonus like no food decay in inventory or something. I love playing priests and crafting accs, I hate playing two clients at once. Pvp priests are epic fun but not making your own gear sucks😕 The pay to win argument against this would not hold, it's no real change to what you can spend to what you can do now, slightly for PvP yes, but pvp priest is where the real fun is at so.. Cons: Would lose some activity in the enchanting game economy. Pros: From asking around, a huge amount of players that currently don't use priest alts would upgrade to it, plus people adding battery alts = a massive boost in subs income. Would make the game much more enjoyable to play. Pleas comment any pros and cons you can think of, and how much it could improve your gameplay Edit: Or make it available for pvp servers only (this can be used to test how popular it is). You wouldn't need to add options to the the shop, it could be a ticket costing silver coins from the trader / token that you consume, gives 30 days.

There is an epidemic of private slayings going on. People saying that they have to do it or they can never get a suit of armor. And then, of course, that it's also a business, and so after they get their suits of armor, they will continue to do it because it's profitable. The core issue here is not just that uniques are very valuable and sought after, but in my opinion one of the core issues is that the spawning is not random. The people that hunt them know exactly where to find them. They spawn in the same handful of areas every time. Many of them have alts on 24/7 to watch. There are rumors of a packet sniffer program that can tell the mob locations, but I simply can't comment on that. What I can say is, the system needs a rework. I'd like to start by suggesting that the spawning mechanic needs to be looked at, and given better randomization, similar to the mission system. When a unique is going to spawn, it needs to have a chance to spawn in various parts of the map, such as the SW, NW, NE, SE, center, similar to missions. Right now on Harmony all of the dragons spawn in the center regions near the "capital" cities, and it allows group of "unique hunters" to camp out and get the spawns. But they can't be everywhere. If the dragons spawned ALL OVER THE MAP, those of us who live in those places would have a fair chance at finding them before the people with alts camped out in key areas. I really feel that these unique camping/spawning mechanics are killing the community. Everyone deserves a chance to play with these creatures. It should not be restricted to a few group of elitists who have memorized the spawn locations and can't give it up, because first "They need a full suit of dragon scale armor!" and then after they do "Why would we give up our business?". It's a business to them. It's about money. Everyone knows that silver = real life money. These mechanics really need a rework so that the rest of us can play too. These things only have value as long as there is a community to play with, and the way things are now, is very bad for morale and in my opinion is going to lead to a further drop in population, which is something none of us want. Can someone please actually look into this issue? If you're not willing to work on making these mechanics better for the masses in terms of uniques, can you at least spread them around better so those of us who don't live (or camp out on alts) in the center of harmony can get some too? Thank you for reading. Rhystan

I joined the experiment, created a barrel of fermenting moonshine just now. Can confirm, trade to other player gives the same message. Wood scrap is not owned by you. Trade aborted. My barrel, I cooked the 'shine, was my scrap, and I sealed it. Relogging with the barrel in inventory removes that error message and trade completes. Will see how the fermenting process goes

+1 Yep really need this, I go afk alot and come back to half an hour of someone trying to contact me in local / alliance all the time, this would be really useful. It would also be good if when they hovered over thee "zZz" or "(afk)" it would have a tooltip showing the set afk message.

The amount of times I have too many animals clustered near the fences when trying to replant pens... Why do I need a rope when I should be able to just shoo them off the tile I'm on? P.S. Animals that have fight-fiercely trait should have the option to nip animals that are overcrowding them to disease-risk levels, with the same result of triggering movement. Does not need to cause damage, just trigger movement. Edit: I like the idea of a new, purpose-built emote, but I'll definitely settle for bolt-on functionality.

even if you are, server choice is a huge impact on it (an hour of hunting on a 8x8 is more likely to find a unique than a week of hunting on xanadu for example), and how fast you're killing mobs and moving around is also impactful. Back when i was hunting i could 100% search cele in about 2 hours, compared to hunting for an entire day would take me from one side of the server to the other, without searching mountains and such places that aren't very good for hunting, multiply that by however many people a group usually has unique hunting compared to only a small fraction of a servers population hunting and it's quite the disparity. I'm also talking about population in general, you hunting to 90+ fs doesn't change the fact that the majority of the playerbase doesn't. To this day I still laugh about how the wurm devs thought leaving the unique spawn code in wu, and later straight up posting the spawn parameters on the forums was a good idea

You know, threads like these always make for interesting reading. They tend to tell you who has been on successful private hunts recently. I suppose, in theory (and this is theory, I only use scripts for scraping data or automating my RL job) you could intercept all incoming packets for your client (wireshark watching for a specific ip) and (if you knew the format for the data, and could decode the packet [it has already been sent to your machine after all]) you could likely get a list of mobs within a certain range using a script without ever having to interact with the game client, if only because we know the game has to render them. However, theory and practice are very different, and the actual implementation (decoding and parsing the packets, setting the IP etc) is likely to be a huge undertaking. It is not entirely unlikely that such a tool exists, as dragons were worth real cash till fairly recently. However, wurm's spawn mechanics could be gamed by anyone with access to the code; that part isn't theory. I say this as someone who had that kind of access in a different game, and just knowing how things spawn gives you a huge edge as you can literally rule out a massive search area. One need only see the behaviour of Xanadu rifts before the population collapse to understand that.

Alright, let's say this is implemented. This will reduce the total number of rift points gained overall, and slightly increase the amount gained by high level players. The value of rift items might increase as they will no longer be available to players below a certain fighting skill. You'll disenfranchise mid level players who want to earn points, and cause conflict when a couple of high level players force the rift through all four rounds quickly for *their* quick points. Lower level players simply won't bother turning up. I can see where your idea is coming from, but I think putting something like this in would be a lightning rod to drama; it would reduce quality of life for a large number of players at the price of increasing it for a few. The general impact would be to further reduce rift attendance, with no real upsides apart from stroking a couple of egos. Simply put, it would make things worse, not better.

Ester is a very small (1K) server intended for maximum 12 active players at a time. Entry is restricted by a whiteList. Our players all naturally share the same play style: they always avoid littering, never leave corpses or tree trunks behind, take only what they need from public areas, confine their mining to on-deed only, respect other people’s space, and do their best to be an unobtrusive neighbour. On such a small map, this is even more important. If you think you’d be a good match for this server, please consider the following before you apply: - must be an active player who wants to interact with others regularly - must be willing to hunt only moderately, as there are not a lot of mobs on the server. This is not a good server for someone who loves to hunt every day. - must understand, agree with, and be able to follow all our rules - must consider every player’s wishes before doing things that may impact them If you are a mature, considerate, tidy player who is looking to join a small community of very good people, please send Batta a PM to apply for our whiteList.

Oh new server idea, build your own island server! *WTS Dirt*

The last time I downloaded and used WA I was playing on Serenity, a "known" server, this time when I got a new computer I downloaded it while playing on Harmony. I went into the options and fixed the "Server" and "group" modes but cannot find what to put in for the "webstats URL" can you tell me what I should put in there to get it to function as it was before? Didn't have this issue when I started using it on Harmony after the main "Player tracker" data was on Lynd, but having a little issue with Lyndee being the main "Player" and Harmony being the first map it is being used on. Hope this all makes sense, I am kinda computer illiterate... but not totally, 😆 Nevermind found how to fix it. It is running again.

Thumbs up from me, it would make ponds look more intresting and the Ducks want them as a nesting place.🦆

I think there is potential for new servers, just not new servers of the current type. An "endgame" PvE server with environmental hazards (frozen north?), tough mobs (winter themed reskins of existing mobs with a massive cr buff), no deeding and high decay (10x), but rare (or higher QL!) resources would be a good addition. Bonus points if it reshapes itself back to its original shape over time, destroying roads. Essentially a server aimed at group play. A "cursed" PvE server where crops randomly blight, mycelium spreads outside any god's domain, undead (reanimated creatures) spawn anywhere where there is no light (even ondeed), and all light sources must be managed manually. No guard towers or templars, aggroed mobs bashing walls to get to a target a little before giving up and generally just a hostile place to live. Mobs sense and move towards areas of player activity using a heat map. The reward; jackal materials/plants thrive here and can be traded with the main cluster. A long (but thinnish) server for travel between north and south clusters with more water hazards might be worthwhile, possibly even PvP enabled to encourage piracy. No deeding, and no dirt or accessible rock; just sandy islands and lots of hostile ocean mobs.

I feel like this is probably the reason I feel so burned out on this game. Priest linking change seems to have spurred on the current favour change, which was really well done and enjoyed by the players. However, no actual fixes or changes to the act of grinding channeling have been made, despite it being pointed out numerous times if people are willing to THROW money at alts to link with to grind it, maybe something needs to be changed to remove that need. And before you're that guy who says "well I grinded without links hurr" then cool ranch but it doesn't change there's been an issue there for a long time that really should be addressed. Imbue change is also one that has left a rather sour taste in my mouth. Like a few, I've agreed that the current imbues were pretty broken and really needed some adjustments to not be as bonkers as they are. And anyone who knows me, knows I love skill gain and the reliance of the game on skill. However, making imbues just about worthless at higher levels was an utterly miserable move, that really hasn't benefited anyone. Mining in particular is a annoying one, because it's such a vital skill for most players that the amount of time that imbue is worth chasing for is very limited, because you'll know it's a one you need to grind. Woodcutting is also a very annoying one to chat about, because it's very difficult to have trees that are difficult enough for your skill level. Combat overhaul certaintly didn't feel like an overhaul, though I'm sure as far as the code goes, it could be seen as that. Of course, players wont see that so it's a pointless thing to say. In general it feels pointless to give feedback the majority of the time. I don't expect fast or immediate responses to issues, but it certainly leaves an impression when content can be added or changed, almost universally dumpstered by players and in the case of the imbue changes, the community themselves presenting better formulas, and then being met with radio silence or locked threads when being told "nothing is being changed" I will say, I'm still very happy that animal husbandary is getting the kind of work done on it that it's long needed. And honestly, I'd be happy if this was part of the norm going forward: the fixing and expansion of systems already in the game that have long needed attention. Let's not forget about 100 rifts which I used (hilariously) to derail an entire VI thread, fatigue, tempering, 50ql hand, channeling grinding and some other issues with how the game works. I don't want this post to be taken as talking smack about the devs, the updates or anything like that. This really is more just me spouting off about what my perception is, how I see it and what I feel. Maybe I just feel burned because I'm uncertain of the direction the game is going, and see nothing that I see as value or interest to myself to keep me invested.

Only if 100 rift isn’t required for journal completion, sure. But then again, these may discourage lower skilled players. Maybe just do time spent in (meaningful) combat with rift mobs. Then keep heals balanced based on in game data.

unsure why this is still a thing but YES NO love for the flashing.. it's distracting and the information it focuses on is useless(does NOT require the player to read it actively), whoever wants to read the log can do that without the hint of flashing, just use a colorscheme that makes sense(google for color scheme palettes.. it's a thing.. for web/gui design)

Yes please! I'd really like to at least be able to disable the flashing stage of the process. Being able to turn off all visual prompts for tab updates, except maybe PM, would truly be a blessing for alts. It's the visual equivalent of being in a clock shop with all the clocks chiming at the same time, but not even only on the hour!

The shoo emote should cause all farm animals nearby to walk away from the player, instead of having to target them.

What kingdom flag is that? *curious* Also, here are some screens of the memorial for Davidbur, that the people on Desertion arranged. Very beautiful site and event
