    Make a SuperPremium account that removes all priest restrictions. Price = about double. It's two characters in one. Could also add a few goodies like a sleep powder per month, or some QoL bonus like no food decay in inventory or something. I love playing priests and crafting accs, I hate playing two clients at once. Pvp priests are epic fun but not making your own gear sucks😕 The pay to win argument against this would not hold, it's no real change to what you can spend to what you can do now, slightly for PvP yes, but pvp priest is where the real fun is at so.. Cons: Would lose some activity in the enchanting game economy. Pros: From asking around, a huge amount of players that currently don't use priest alts would upgrade to it, plus people adding battery alts = a massive boost in subs income. Would make the game much more enjoyable to play. Pleas comment any pros and cons you can think of, and how much it could improve your gameplay Edit: Or make it available for pvp servers only (this can be used to test how popular it is). You wouldn't need to add options to the the shop, it could be a ticket costing silver coins from the trader / token that you consume, gives 30 days.

    I’m not sure what good creating another new server will do, as it will further split the community apart. However, I do think keeping the NFI and SFI separated in the long term is not good for the game at this point.

    A book similar to the almanac, but for mobs. Mob reports work a bit differently to alamanc reports; you need to study the corpse of one of each age variant, as well as each "type" (champion, greenish, raging etc where appropriate) to get a full report (writing on a report with that information already slightly improves its quality). Studying the corpse "butchers" it, giving no items. Studying the age variants unlocks more info with each step - Flavour text (1), picture (2), damage types (3), armour (4), modifiers for age (5). Examining the variants offers additional information on that variant (how it impacts their damage/armour/other) to the entry. Optional Extra - A complete beastiary entry can be used to give a QL-minute buff of 10% accuracy and damage against the creature in question (option to just use the beastiary to give all buffs).

    I do, I have many priest accounts. Combining would be slower to grind overall, can't cast and craft at the same time. I understand if you already put effort into a priest acc, doesn't mean we can't think of new ideas to make the game more enjoyable for others though.

    Cadence University Welcome!. Cadence University is an educational deed built on top of a monastery in the mountains. My aim is to build a place where new players can be inducted into the game and taught how to play Wurm at their own pace and level. Wurm is quite a big and complicated game and going it alone can be especially tough, my aim is to build a place where people are free to leave at any point, don't feel tethered down to the deed or in some way offer it "loyalty" though they're welcome to request to stay longer and join the deed as residents. The room is locked so only I (the mayor) and you the student can access it, it is completely private in every sense of the word. The University is built upon The Cadence Buddhist Monastery. This is my private deed and something I've wanted to do in the real world, it's a fully working Buddhist monastery just as far as you go looking for it.. meaning to outsiders we're just a monastery in the mountains that like the colour orange. I'm keeping the monastery to always a small circle of people, the monks are respected members of the community.. almost it's.. teachers.. but we also want to pass knowledge onto new players and build a stronger community. If you want to leave when you feel you're ready then you're free to do so, if you settle your own deed we can even ally so still get private chat and can interact with each others deeds, think a guild in other games!. The deed is situated on one of the main 6 giant mountains, we're the central mountain on the lake just south-west of sonata. From up here the entire map is visible with the naked eye and we'r proud not to be covered in trees!. On the far right, the lake.. see just above the lake there's that smaller lake? that's Sonata!.

    +1 either lift priest restrictions or allow 2-4 characters per account. It sucks to see more care for 10 players so called "economy" and "market" then actual quality changes that could make significant impact. The market should be one of the tools in the sandbox not the other way around

    I'm opposed the idea, I can appreciate making changes to make the game more appealing to newcomers but think all the priest bonuses would make players too strong. So if this were added I'd like to see sermons have a 24 hour cooldown and priest bonuses heavily nerfed. But at that cost, and the cost of all the hard work invested in priest mains and alts, I'd rather we just keep what we have now.

    +1 I think its time. Needing to have an alt for casting turned a lot of people I know away from the game. Double prem is a far compromise imo

    Cant say other than LOL I already said it was my internet connection that's dropping packets, however what is exceptional is the inability for Wurm to handle an extremely brief interruption in communication that the dozens upon dozens of other mmo's I've played are able to handle fine. Did you even read my message before flaming? Like I said I live in the boonies, you think I've not called my ISP repeatedly? LOL, I would say thanks for the attempt at help, but not when starting out your reply like that! The only thing you've done is help me lose further interest in the game, congratulations on pushing yet another wurmian away from the game.

    but why... aren't new servers killing population from old ones and eventually as you make new friends.. you also lose some new and old ones because of the clusters and breaks/burnouts/irl-reasons/etc.. unless you're a constant and remaining to play around, you'll turn into 1 of the 'problems' above

    Voting is pretty much broken in Wurm because any "alt" can be premmed up to vote and skew the results. I recall the first Elevation wipe was a result of many alts voting to wipe old elevation and replace it with a new map. The new map sucked and killed pvp. The players voted, they got what they wanted then they realised they didn't like it and pvp died off elevation. It was too big a map and too flat, if I can simplify the reasons. Unpopular opinion, but I'll state it till Wurm dies off entirely : No one has years to sacrifice out of their lives to improve their characters. It's not realistic, yet we go with the same "slow grind" we had 10 years ago. Wurm needs faster timers. The old veterans won't agree with me, but at the same time I can chuckle bitterly and ask, how many of us vets are still around? A handful? Do we matter that much anymore anyway? There are a lot of reasons people leave Wurm, but one of the main one I guess is simply how everything is a chore that takes a long time. My observation is that on Freedom another reason is a "lack of identity and goals". On the older pvp servers, when they were at their peak you had a sense of cohesion among players. They played to strengthen their alliances, they built defences, crafted armors and weapons for allies, bred 5 speeders for pvp, etc. There was a sense of general direction, even if it was warfare based. On freedom, that sense is lost, everything is indeed "free" to do but at the same time, I have noticed that Freedom is characterised by one dominant behavior : Isolationism. There is no risk, no reason to actually help people out in the hope they might one day do the same for you. Which also enforces a secondary behavior : a more mercantile approach to everything. Everything must have a price tag. You ask why there are so few community projects or group goals? Beyond basic infrastructure, there is no mechanic or reason to actually have people group together. Pvp servers usually have 1 -2 alliances at best on 1 server. Servers like Deliverance have 20 alliance, Xanadu has around 100 alliances. Isolationism. Lack of common purpose. If wurm needs something to keep it alive, it needs new content that at the same time, bands people together with a common purpose to work together for something, anything. Make it a dragon invasion as it was suggested in the past. Make it an apocalyptic event. Make it a godstorm battle. Anything. As long as it implies a collective effort beyond "any one player and their army of alts" it might be worth considering.

    Bump because much needed! I would also like to add the following: - Rotting wood: Have dead logs either as graphics or real objects, with them able to have fungus/mushrooms grown inside them (naturally, not by players) . Dead wood is a big part of forests and wurm forests just look too clean and man-made without it. - change moss tile graphics The current moss tile looks NOTHING like real moss. In fact I had to stop and examine first to be sure its moss when I started playing. This is how moss should look like and not just a lazy and bald lime green tile as we have now. It should have some depth and/or textures to it.

    It's something i want to and would pay more for it(not double to be honest, more inline to 1.5x of normal premium). Only issue for me is, there are still 3 priest types and I would still feel restricted not having access to all spells I want thus i would need 2 more alts...

    +1 I would pay extra to do it all on one toon and I have multiple priests as well. Logging on alts is a little annoying and can tank computer performance.

    If you move to Chaos, join or create a PMK, and then Champ your priest you can do all as you ask. If you can survive long enough you could even finish the crafting journal as a priest and become a master.

    I feel like missions right now are not working that fairly in terms of rewards for contribution. Right now, we have an epidemic of people who will throw in 1 item out of 500, or 1 kill out of 50, and hope that the rest of the server will carry them to get their reward. And then the way the mission works, is the sleep bonus gets split EVENLY amongst everyone, regardless of how much work they did. This would be akin to people going to dinner and splitting the check evenly, when some people had steaks and drinks, and others had a side salad. You do get karma for doing individual portion, but karma has no value. I have tens of thousands of karma and I've never used any of it. At some point I may summon a corpse if I ever lose one, but karma is simply not useful. What I want, and what everyone wants, is the sleep bonus. What we need is a system where the mission incentive is flat rate for participation (doing something), but the sleep bonus pool or other benefits are given by participation. So if the bonus pool is 300 minutes and someone does 1% of the work, they should get no more than 1% of 300 minutes of sleep bonus. I am fine with the cap being 30 minutes or whatever is deemed acceptable. But I have been doing a lot of work on carrying missions, and it's not right to have to do 50%+ of a mission, and then get 24 minutes of sleep bonus, when the default is 20, because everyone did one item and then ignored it and waited for someone to do all the work. The alternative of course is to stop doing carries on missions, but then nobody gets anything. Why not instead incentivize people to do the actual work of the mission, by rewarding the sleep bonus appropriately by contribution?

    Hello all! As some of you know from Harmony Freedom chat we are working on a boat tunnel to connect Heartland to the bay, so people can pick up new users directly without any fuss! We are also trying to pretty up the area a bit, we will be dredging the lake up, building the shores up again. We started replanting trees to rebuild the forests. Most work is happening on the weekends, feel free to stop and look - or stop by on the weekends and lend a hand! 🥰

    For the older servers I would like to see weekend/monthly xp events to encourage new player to join and grind. This will also help vets long term, but will allow noobs to close the gap against those who aren't grinding or taking breaks.

    I have no issues with new servers if it means old servers get merged/closed/locked. At some point having a ton of servers to update, maintain, reboot, etc becomes nonsense. I do not work in the game industry, but I do work in the information technology industry. Even if these servers are VM's it takes man hours to make them work, and there is a point at which this becomes cost prohibitive. Bring back the original Epic idea and modify it. Come up with an incentive for people to reclaim silver or perks for the years they spent on these toons to move to the new server(s). Have a PVP map with exclusive resources of some sort in the middle, then one or two PVE servers on the outside. Everyone works toward a goal while giving PVP a reason without being a requirement, meaning PVE players can participate as well. Give the "winning kingdom" some sort of perk on their account. The servers reset every six to eight months, presenting a yearly "new server land rush" without having the server bloat. That rough draft of an idea isn't perfect, but today we are right back in the same boat of having 400-ish concurrent people playing. This time last year it was about the same number, except we are even more spread out. How many times do we need to see landrushes bring people back, only to have most of them leave after a short time?

    Pretty much this. Adding a new server will fragment the population even more and I'll bet my left testicle it will cause the population to drop even more due to the "dead server effect". Devs should focus on bringing quality to existing servers. Rather we should go the opposite way. Either re-cycle current servers like Epic which are dead servers and turn them into something else like :challenge servers, hunting servers, pvp with a twist servers, etc. Opening new servers won't do jack.

    just one server? dont be silly! we need at least 50 more new servers, they all could be small tho, and each server tailored specifically to the needs of the player who will reside there. Ofc they all linked to each other, as we do not wanna feel too lonely and have the ability to sail over to our neighbouring server time to time. items do transfer too, as whats the point of the visit if you cant bring your neighbour any shining gifts or a barrel of wine. Each server to have only one random colour dragon and hatchling belonging to the owner of said server so he/she could groom the beast slowly gathering hide/scale without the need to kill them. Gain rates should be something like 1kg hide/scale per groom action, but you can only groom once a week. Same for every server/player so literally every player is equal and there is no whining about it. That's just the few ideas to kick off, i have the endless list, so if anyone's interested let me know so we can arrange a zoom call to discuss it further.

    No palm trees perluheese but more tree varieties (I know we had more once, that was a fine update iirc, just more again thx) 2nd thoughts, although the tree update path has been trodden before so should be easy to replicate, it also means more wood types etc which seems like a more or less unwanted thing now. Plenty of these ideas are cool though so a generic +1

    We'd love to see some of those ideas in, some might be more involved than the other ones to implement but they fit the exploration expansion part of our roadmap well. We'll definitely look into adding some of those into the game.
