Good day. We were wondering in Freedom Chat today if it is possible to remove the one way portal to Cadence from Harmony? It made sense to have it when Harmony had a lot more players than that server, but now Harmony is one of the least populated, is it possible to have that removed? Thanks.

To be honest, the reason I haven't done one is because I have some troubles where my mouse disappears and things which I learned the very first time I attempted to stream which was extremely embarassing with how shy I am and clueless I felt lol. I'm brand spankin' new to streaming and have zero clue anything about it lol. I'm working on it, but you'll need to give me some patience to figure out issues that even experienced streamers I've asked had no idea what to do to fix.

Is there a reason we can't haul items up stairs with a rope like we can with ladders? This would be a massive quality of life improvement. I just built some furniture on the second floor, knowing it's best to build in place because bringing them up is always a headache. When I tried to place a bench across the room, it accidentally went over the tile with the stairs and fell down. I tried all kinds of things to get it back upstairs with no success. I've battled this several times now and it seems like I need to use a different tactic for every item. In some cases it works to jam the cart in the stairs and stand in a very specific spot to unload the item, but this doesn't work in some house designs or with some items. Sometimes it works but then the cart gets stuck so the horses need to be unhitched, cart dragged out and horses hitched again. I try many different things each time, fighting through "the wall is in the way" "you can't reach" "you are too far away" "the staircase is in the way" etc. until it randomly works, and then use the exact same strategy for the next item and it doesn't work. In some cases it works to unload the item under the stairs, stand in a very specific spot on the stairs and place the item in a very specific spot on the tile next to it but again that doesn't always work. I managed to bring a wardrobe up by standing on the very edge of the stair tile facing away from the stairs, and unloading it on the next tile. I tried to do the same thing with the bench, but no luck. After many attempts I somehow accidentally glitched my cart up to the second floor and that's how I managed to put the bench back. It would have been easier to tear up a floor and build a ladder, then tear up the ladder and rebuild the floor. I've asked people how they do this and usually the answer is some variation of unloading from a cart while standing in a specific place. If there is a different way this is meant to work, someone please fill me in cause I can't figure it out Please let us use a rope to haul large items up stairs.

A streamer mentioned this in his stream today (or at least most of this suggestion) (The_R3d_Jester - Twitch). Add tooltips when hovering over a square on the map to show the coordinate of that square. This is especially important when zoomed in on the map since it's hard to get the coords.

Would really like a textbox to put in the quantity of items we're looking to make.

Because of our low player base and kindoms fighting over casts etc. (Not that its happening but an MR in JK can't do MR missions for the rite and Fo of MR can't do Fo missions for the rite. Suggestion is either half the cost of points or perhaps make a different spell that just takes favor to cast rather then give people SB. It really up to the devs on what they would like to do on that reguards.

As title, something to work towards for making your personal tools the best instead of just buying metallic liquid every time, maybe something like 1k rift points for a 2nd rune slot and 5k points for a 3rd rune slot would be cool

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you.... The Lakeside! K25 Cadence BUT FIRST: Photo Album- https://imgur.com/gallery/l9bLfku If you're still interested after the photo album, then read more! We are located right on the coast of K25 and offer ammenities such as: On deed Libila and Fo priest (Mag priest is taking a "temporary (we hope)" break), an entire farm deed (Lakeside Farms) with over 100+ tiles of plantable dirt, a sister deed dedicated to housing only (Lakeside Estates) that has excellent views of the lake, a friendly alliance that's comprised of previous Lakeside citizens that wanted to branch out and form their own deed, along with lots of decently skilled crafters: Miners at ~70 skill, Blacksmith 90+, cooks 60+, an aspiring metallurgist (40+ I think) and many others, as well as access to tar, clay, and moss right on deed/just off deed and every crafting station you can think of. We are both veteran and new player friendly! We don't mind answering questions, in fact I spend a great deal of my time in CA Help doing just that! If you like what you see and heard, then give us a PM ingame at Baeowuf, Roselina, Bermz, or Pingstery if you want an invite and see the deed in person! It really is so much better looking in person. 😉

Current Problem Rift Participation Points should be awarded based on effort put in. Currently the system doesn't care about your skill or however much effort you put into fighting. The BEST way for someone to gain participation points is to go around spam targeting mobs in melee range in order to get a "tag". Then when the mob dies with your tag on it you get points. Imagine being an elite fighter around 90 fighting skill killing mob by mob and getting less points than someone who just started the game and isn't actually helping take on the rift. It's even worse for those that thought defensive fighting would be useful. Proposed Point System Points would instead be based upon the combination of Damage Dealt, Damage Healed, and Damage Mitigated. This benefits all forms of fighters and encourages more participation towards actually closing the rift and becoming a better fighter. All fighters who put work in will walk out with more reward and feel more achieved. Also, with damage mitigated providing points it would encourage tanks use their skills like taunting which would now have a major benefit. Additional thoughts These are some other things that might benefit from having points, but are not the main focus of this thread. Sacrificing hearts (I've heard it's currently 1), Butchering, and Burying. These would encourage ending waves quicker, and cleaning up the field. Potentially something good for those not too skilled in fighting. For those that wish to help this post grow and get more discussion PLEASE spread it to others. If you want change to happen in this game we need to band together and create a louder voice. Also, PLEASE provide reasoning as to why you support or oppose this idea.

Wurm just needs to add an in-game recruitment board where you can see which villages are recruiting with their coordinates listed. A new player then should either be able to PM the mayor himself or "apply" to join via a button. Trust me, 90% of new players DO NOT go to forums looking for a village to join. I was one of them myself. Make it easier so that new players actually have a starting town with real people where they can learn the game on their own pace instead of forcing them to survive right away or dive into the mess of forum recruitment.

We now have skins and each month we get a new skin too But that said, it's in the beginning of the latest monthly skin release a bit of an unknown as to how it looks etc. I'd like to see that it becomes part of the Valrei International announcement from Demona what the new item is going to be, picture etc. As it is right now the guessing game is on until somebody post a picture - this addon to the game is a little appetiser to keep the premium going - help that along by showing the new item in the international Also will allow the poor wiki administrators having a change to be more up-to-date on that front

I don't see why traps are not working as traps in this game. A trap is meant to TRAP an animal, not killing it. Example: you place a bear trap, come back later and find a brown bear stuck on the tile the trap has been placed. Now I can decide if I want to tame it, kill it or whatever. that is actual trapping. If I wanted a trap to do damage, I might as well go out hunting myself yes but traps (usually) aren't designed to do any (major) damage.

So WoA doesn't do anything on a storage container, right? Seems like this is just an opportunity to blow up containers full of thousands of items with a misclick (in this case I was trying to enchant a loom next to it and not paying enough attention on my second screen). Most enchants don't work on objects that can't benefit from them. Also tried CoC on a BSB on purpose this time and the game will let you cast that for some reason?

Only scenario I can think of is when the creator's account is deleted for inactivity, the cart loses its maker's signature and then decay speed is drastically accelerated. While it's in this state, If a player with command and inventory permissions examines the cart, ownership of the cart is then transferred to them. I agree, all the junk carts players leave littered around is crazy, but the few that return may be upset if they log on after 6 weeks and find their cart has disappeared.

It's kinda like a long term relationship. One of the general goals is to work out the negative parts on both sides. But if those negative things persist over the years, eventually the relationship collapses. The sad part is that at its height, Wurm could have probably hired 20 developers to add so much fun content to the game. A lot of questionable design decisions have simply piled up that make players leave. Abandoning WU. Abandoning Epic for years. Absurd journal goals like 100 rifts (seriously, please fixt that pile of doo doo) . Pvp is dead on chaos. Splitting the playerbase over more and more clusters. Bugs not fixed. Missions being the same after 10 years. More communication between staff and players. Last post regarding the animal update was almost a month ago. No significant QOL improvements to make the game faster and less grindy. A ridiculous lack of advertisement. An unneeded fishing update that turned a simple system into a convoluted system with the same rewards. No two way transfer of skill between EPIC<>FREEDOM essentially voiding any reason to play Epic. Name whatever you want. They all are variables that are giving Wurm the slow death of a thousand quits. I am not certain we could ever attribute Wurm's pop decline to just one thing. More like a system of things that need to be looked at globally. Most of the negative things said about wurm from long time players actually come from a love of the game, as counter intuitive as it sounds. We all see Wurm's insane potential constantly reigned in for some reason or other. Most of these things can be fixed if turbo-life-saving-mode would be engaged.

We had an outage today that affected the following game servers: Xanadu Affliction Elevation Harmony Celebration The outage lasted approximately 45 minutes. The cause of the outage was a configuration issue. Our new hosts are configured with tools to match our needs, which means that we can more quickly recover should hardware issues crop up. A bug in the configuration tool lead to some hosts being improperly configured outside of a maintenance window. The resolution was to roll back the configuration on the hosts and restart the game servers. Our provider has assured me that while most changes undergo testing, this was somehow missed and they are working on updating their procedures to ensure such an outage does not happen again. Thank you for your patience.

It's been asked for in various forms in various posts over a variety of years. Can we please be allowed to load a rowboat into a larger ship? It would be awesome if larger ships had a compartment (exactly like fishing rod) that appear in their inventory.

This conversation has come up twice recently in my alliance, since many of us are into archeology. We need some display for the mini-tokens we get. Nothing holds enough to be practical. Something like a bookshelf (that holds more than say 20) or a display case. Current solution: (unique tokens on shelf, duplicates on floor) has me running out of bookshelf space. (another row of bookshelves on other side of arch). Another deed member uses marble tables, which hold more, but take up more space.

create 525 chain <random armor piece> ql30.. and sacrifice them create 525 chains (as in js chains...) ql30.. and sacrifice them.. create 260 leather knives ql30.. and sacrifice them.. these are recent missions tackleboxes are actually not bad for favor, and can be created quite high in ql by using hq-ish <metal lump>, shingles and leather strip, which does not make them fun to make when it happens to be a mission for the creation of 120-160 and each takes 9 actions(assuming the player have the skills and raw materials already laying around) ccab worked to change content to make it easier for priests to be 'main' characters, yet we still have missions like <make 300-600 items> and improve them to ql30, than sacrifice them; neither new players nor priests can create or improve to ql30 for 1 or another reason; Some of the missions still say create x amount of benches, altars, .. cant recall other items right now.. but these missions do not mention which type.. wooden/stone/golden(for altars); Some missions for rituals require shard or sheet, these also do not mention metal/stone shard.. and type or the sheet - cloth or any of the metal types.. There's some inconsistency in the difficulty and partially given information forcing players to go to the place with 1 of every possible sheet/shard or create extra random altars all over the place There are missions for creation of epic portals etc.. these things later just clutter the server unnecessary, can we have some kind of less random missions.. and for things easier to handle, wooden items usually can be picked up and burned easily if not needed Few days ago there was a joke 'why there aren't any missions about making x amount of (large)crates', well.. good question.. useful and easy to 'hide' in a crate rack..

I heard there have been some competitions in the past where players could compete to create game content like textures or game objects. As I'm sure most Wurmians are creative people I think it would be great if there could be some of these competitions on a regular basis. I was thinking about creating textures for decorative items like amphora's or easter eggs (are there easter eggs in Wurm?). Also very nice as collectable items for people. Or let us have player made paintings to hang in your cottage or castle. Something you could run on a regular basis.

I would like Wurm to stay vaguely medieval-ish, but new arch stuff would be pretty fantastic. Maybe we could find and put together a new kind of ragged looking tent or some furniture. And give us new (ancient) pottery! We have artefacts from medieval Europe (and earlier) to base new designs on, plus we could find artefacts traded from other lands? https://thijsporck.com/2016/08/18/anglo-saxon-chairs/ https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Suntakstolen#/media/File:D2643_Suntakstolen.jpg https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Carolingian_furniture#/media/File:Musician_playing_a_medieval_cythara_4.jpg https://peterborougharchaeology.org/archaeology-skills-techniques/pottery-identification/

40182 instances of "You start to Pray" in my logs. That's about 280 Hours of prayer. Thats to hit ~56 prayer. Tell me again how you came to your estimate? 8117 Times just in December I have real world data that suggests you numbers are off by an exponential amount. I can also bring up my old Freedom priest, who after also expending hundreds of hours trying to do it the right way, I cheesed it on epic to finish it off.
  49. 1 point
I can bring up my logs, but I am certain I had hundreds of hours praying and ended up around 56 prayer before the original changes. Without epic, or praying as a layman, prayer used to be a tall task for an actual priest. (Even at the water, even with food, even with SB)

Another thing to note, players on the new server might still play actively but for fewer hours a day. Say initially a lot of them took time off, or just got obsessed/addicted, and logged in 12-16+ hours a day. Now weeks later it may settle down to where they still log in almost every day, but average 3-5 hours a day, and now and then miss a day (gasp). Still a very active playtime, but if you are checking for how many players are logged in at any particular moment, it could look like a dropping in population, when it is actually a similar number of people just not playing as intensively. My own hours I now have slacked off compared to first week, but I still log in nearly every day. But for shorter periods, as there are other things in my life I also tend to give attention to, and it is hard to susutain longterm those first week nonstop play sessions. How many people on the new servers are playing just as many hours today as they did the first week? How many still play daily but for far fewer hours now?
