    I got to 100 faith by almost only doing prayer and my prayer ended up being at 54, and that took me hundreds and hundreds of hours, years actually because of how boring it is, and how useless the skill is, it was never worth investing time until they added it to the benediction goal, in my opinion that was completely unbalanced skill gain. 100 faith and only 54 prayer. After the first rework of the prayer skill I spent around 11 hours just grinding it using sleep bonus and affinity meals to take my skill from 66 to 70, I do not find that an unreasonable amount of skill gained for the time, sleep bonus, affinity meals invested to do so. Any other skill I invested that kind of time and resources to grind would have gained a lot more then 4.00 skill in my opinion. The Prayer skill is a useless skill and to make it harder to accomplish does not make any sense at all. It is a useless skill and we are not gaining anything other then the benediction goal by grinding it to 70. No one is gaining any unfair advantage by leaving it the way it is now. Side note: You keep dumbing down the game for new players by giving them so many advantages none of us long time players had when we started playing and we did just fine and stayed because we loved the game not because it was easy to do and probably because it was hard to do, it was a great accomplishment to achieve all that we did. Adding flashing heat maps and giving them everything they need to play the game is going too far. I think this new player hand holding is getting out of hand and needs to be re-examined . People have more respect for and appreciate the things they had to work hard to get or achieve a lot more then the things just handed to them because they showed up. Just my rant 💜 Sun

    Is there any other reason to train prayer skill than benediction? This skill grind comes on top of a already difficult achievement. I do not see why it needs to be harder. I get that Wurm should be hard, and when there is some variety in stuff, it is ok. But this is just boring hours pressing a button for no other reason than benediction, and now it shall be even slower again? Sorry, but I do not see that is brings anything positive to the game. If the reason is purely to make benediction harder, then maybe add some other requirement instead? If the reason is that any skill itself should be hard to get, maybe add some other benefit to it as well (unless there are some that I have missed)?

    At 74 faith I am currently getting Prayer skill ticks of 0.009 with a prayer affinity meal and sleep bonus at Prayer skill 53, and you plan on slowing that? Do I need to get to 100 faith before I see an increase in Prayer skill from these levels?

    A few things here about gaining speed with a wagon/cart. Hell horses will be faster, so if you had 4 hell horses, especially with the 3 needed speed traits for carts (Lightning, Fleeter Move, Stronger Legs) The other 2 traits that are typically associated with the speed traits do not have any bearing on carts/wagons. This goes for any hitched animal, bull, bison, horse, hell horse. The reason for this is because the other two traits only effect the speed of the horse based on the weight it is carrying. Since weight has no effect on hitched animals, they serve no purpose. High quality shoes enchanted will help a ton! Saddles, enchanted or not have no bearing on animals hitched to a cart/wagon, so put the effort into improving the shoes being used, not the saddle. (I still use saddles on hitched animals because they tend to wander away if you unhitch for any reason, so it keeps them in place still, and I think they look better with saddles/bags) Rarity will of course matter in the overall speed. Both of the shoes and the actual wagon/cart. Rune for 10% increase speed also helps a ton! In my experience, wagons with proper Molten Hell Horses with high end gear and Rare+ can get 30+ km/h So to answer your question, yes it is possible to get wagons that go as fast or faster then 5 speed horses, is it worth it is totally up to you. The cost involved to get the gear needed would be pretty expensive, but to some of us, it is well worth the cost and effort! It can also be a pretty fun challenge, trying to squeeze that next 0.25 km/h out of your cart/wagon! Hope that helps a little bit.     are you considering the fact people used : SB / Food affinities / Affinities / PoK 11 for the faster grinders? 70 hours of grind is what it used to be on epic too... on freedom, you can queue up 8 actions and get a single tick... so not sure how you managed your new thing, but i don't see it being like 22 hours of pure grind... Or why you should consideer what I said : If we look into relatively grindy skills, like climbing, foraging, botanising, you have results... prayers... nope... and seeing you say that altars QL no longuer matters, not sure where you want to get the : or if the 1 out of 8 prayers giving a skill tick is normal... which i highly doubt... gotta remember that anything relying on wurm RNG is broken and have been since the start.

    Some are hard coded as a thanks to people who helped with testing, others are a select list that adopt the name of the first on the server to create it, so changing server you will see the same recipe with someone elses name

    I don't know what changed but the last couple of weeks it is like my animals have become ravenous! I can't keep up with feeding them. I've had enchanted grass tiles trampled, been having to drop food every day where I used to have to do it once every couple of weeks; I even hand fed the dogs every day since I noticed they lost their 'fat' status just to make sure they are eating (and still dropping food in their pens too). I've had to unpack and replant grass or re-enchant grass a couple of times now but the grazers are so far surviving. I have however lost 5 carnivores, 4 of them being dogs. These animals were all cared for and on a deed with lots of upkeep and under the animal ratio cap thingy. I've managed to kept them alive for multiple years, so it's not like I'm new to taking care of them. The behaviour or something is definitely different than to what it used to be. Can this please be looked into and fixed before I loose more animals; or if changes have been decided on an made, a notice to inform players would be nice.     Bundles are actually more expensive on the Wurm shop than individual purchases. An example to this would be the cost of 1 month worth of premium = 7.99 €. The price of 5 silver coins from the shop is = 6.49 € Total = 14.48 Euros Now scroll down on the shop and the bundle "1 month + 5 silvers " =15.49 € What? This is either clearly an error made by someone or whomever made the package deals needs a refresher course in basic economics and an 101 on how to make a good deal for the customer to buy.

    I'm not a fan of adding any kind of NPC system like this (in Wurm). Or of marriage benefits of this sort. However, weddings with new outfits, something for priests to do, let us make a julbord kind of thing for parties, sure. Some kind of system where married folks can be co-mayors or have co-permissions would probably be useful to a lot of people as well.

    @Retrograde I'll believe it if you livestream it. Go on; you could do it in 3 8 hour livestreams (under the new system) according to you! Only natural sleep bonus and an affinity meal mind That said, I've not had the time recently to test this out extensively so I can't draw an accurate comparison between the original change and the new change. All I can say is any change is better than none. However... Lets take a look and do some maths... Just for fun. 20% of the time means skillgain is 500% the speed (so if it takes 700 hours originally, it would take only 140 hours [or 14 hours according to retro]) 36% (not 32%, because that would be faster than 300%) of the time means skillgain is at 300% the speed (so if it takes 700 hours originally, it would only take ~234 hours [or ~23.4 hours according to retro]) So we're gaining a full day of play altar chained (or more likely 12ish full 8 hour days of prayer grind, 24 without sleep bonus)

    "Slight nerf" 57 prayer skill, 90 faith, skill tick before change was 0.0035, now its [18:06:11] Prayer increased by 0,0022 to 57,2508 without any boosts (being mag priest) question... how the 70 hours was counted to get to 70 prayer?? is that with everything maxed, like 5 affinites + food + SB and PoK? otherwise i smell BS.

    I like this part. I have seen a few marriage systems in MMOs but it always boils down to everyone marrying a randomer because it's stupid not to be married and miss out on the benefits of marriage. While the idea of systemic marriage is interesting, it won't be people who like each other getting married for most part, it will be me and my 10 alts having a big party in the dungeon to have more slaves for sale (which i can kill off at will too). Sitting in creature cages with a stool and an empty bowl.

    40182 instances of "You start to Pray" in my logs. That's about 280 Hours of prayer. Thats to hit ~56 prayer. Tell me again how you came to your estimate? 8117 Times just in December I have real world data that suggests you numbers are off by an exponential amount. I can also bring up my old Freedom priest, who after also expending hundreds of hours trying to do it the right way, I cheesed it on epic to finish it off.

    Any horse not on an "edible" tile should be getting hungry, and hunger should drive them to seek out the nearest fodder. That way a horse in water that is not being led will of its own volition seek out dry ground or at the least shallows with seawead rushes or something. But then, what will I do for horses when I leave my home server? 😁 Currently I just grab a swimmy one on my way in from the border.

    It was a brutal game and I got demolished. I was simply not prepared for the moves Enki dished upon me. My move set had served me well in the past but clearly Enki has been practicing and perfecting his play. Checkers enthusiasts, study this game thoroughly for the meta is changing right before your very eyes. Special thanks to John Cheese for overseeing this game on such short notice.

"... with the top three getting the creators name in the dish!" -- Retro some voting results from that I'd like to congratulate the lucky top ten, as these recipes will now be in the 1.3 launch of Wurm Unlimited, but thats not all! Now it's your turn to pick your top three, with the lucky winners getting their name on the recipe ingame! The others will receive the non name version (x's salted port will become salted pork) -- RETROGRADE and from the earlier Wurm 1.3 Patch Notes: Some recipes are nameable this means that whoever is the first to make the item for that recipe, will have their name added to the front of that recipe name, e.g. if Pifa was first to make a meat curry (assuming that was nameable) then it would show to everyone, when they discover it, as “Pifa’s meat curry”. These recipes can be named on each server. E.g. the same recipe can be name by multiple people so long as different servers. Note only one recipe can be named per person. Some recipes are pre-named. I am thinking Pandalet's One True Pizza however falls into the category SmeJack mentioned, of thanks due to the tremendous help Pandalet gave in getting the cooking patch live, and documenting it into guides for players.

    Dear Wurmians of Wurm, I have taken the action of banning a player due to a repeated, ongoing history of harassment of Wurm staff. Platyna has been removed from in-game as well as the forums pending a full review of her behavior towards staff and other players. We do not take these bans lightly, and spend a considerable amount of time attempting to provide feedback and warnings regarding repeated harassment and accusations at staff and developers. I made several attempts to provide feedback both for and against this person's arguments. Eventually, as Platyna's actions became increasingly worse I provided Platyna with several recommendations about their behavior and the way she was treating others. It has become obviously clear over the last few months that Platyna either cannot or will not listen, I made the decision to remove this player from the game in order to maintain a healthy community. I will always endeavor to provide fair, balanced moderation, and our moderation leads are always willing to respond to escalated cases. There is no excuse for failure to abide by the game rules and instructions from moderation staff. Even if our system of moderation is not pristine and perfect, we have always provided avenues of approach to help with any complaints and issues raised. 99.9% of the time we come to a beneficial understanding.... then there is Platyna.... Platyna always maintained a moderate, calm, and civil discourse with me as Head Game Master, but she did not extend that courtesy to anyone else it would seem. I will not stand idly by and let anyone tear down others! Not the Wurm team, and not our members here at Wurm Online! No one should face the kind of harassment that was being thrown around by Platyna on an ever increasing basis! As I said, this ban is still pending review, but as Platyna is already at work spreading misinformation I decided to make a public post stating the situation. Anytime there were questions regarding our decision there were avenues to discuss them with us.     I had 100 faith and 51 prayer before the first update. Prayer is now 52. I don't have an opinion on the latest change, because I am not close to Benediction, and I can't find any other suitable use for the Prayer skill.

    i tried it and didn't feel it being THAT amazing compared to the epic shortcut if we are only looking into unlocking the benediction journal task. Prayer skill ticks seems utterly random and that's probably something you want to fix before nerfing it down... (or why the epic consistency with the skill tick is better than the freedom randomness which allows to finish the task faster).

    Big stability improvements Maybe you have noticed that our server was unstable on a few days in December 2020. For an unknown reason a potential dead lock, hidden in the Wurm Unlimited vanilla core, was triggered more often than it ever was triggered before, this could be related to some players having a bad connection or some other unidentified cause. Anyways, we could identify the deadlock bug along with some other issues. The main reasons for the bad stability were identified successfully and fixed, there has also been a problem with our network card driver which was unstable when it operated close to speeds of 1 Gbit/s (1000 Mbit/s) to or from the internet, just a small side effect when you are operating with such professional hardware. We worked hard over the Christmas holidays and had everything working out and stabilized with the begin of January 2021. While it was hard to have a Wurm Unlimited server stable for 7 days with the big amount of players we have on our server before the improvements, it is now possible to have all our servers up and running for almost 28 days straight without any major issue or bigger lag spikes.

    Oh, I didn’t mean to imply you did, any more than I do. Just to explain the worry some have that this would open up walking the map, since you said, ‘I really don't see how you could "Walk the deed across the map" if the deed dimensions and location never change!’ The answer is the dimensions can be changed after moving the token, which brings the possibility of abusing it to walk the map. Hence suggestions to add a cooldown and/or cost to the suggestion.

    All the 0- speed horses should start taking dmg like any other when too long in the water (drowning) because out of stamina, hens going too deep, doesn't take long for them to die for example. All other under 5- speed should die.. say in a week if not lead by anyone? 5-speed / branded / cared for / tamed animals shouldn't die in any situation by this. Thoughts?

    I'm not keen on this. I'd like to expand my house where my deed token currently is, so that wouldn't help me. I really don't see how 'walking' a settlement would be an issue with a reasonable cooldown. Hopefully the devs will agree! At the end of the day, if they feel they need to charge a SMALL fee, I'd certainly do that to be able reposition my token. I just personally don't think it should incur a cost or be necessary to discourage 'settlement walking'.

    Actually, prepared food lasts longer /outside/ of your inventory than inside it. It's possible that fact affects what's put in lunchboxes as well. I know this from my experience travelling in boats. Putting the food I prepared for the trip in the boat's hold let it last longer than the exact same food kept in my inventory. Remember, food is one of the exceptions about items and materials not taking decay damage in your inventory.

It stretches from 30x, 60y to 31x, 557y. As always, we have removed disbanded deeds and added those submitted to the Albia Roads Map of Indy forum. Wurm is waiting....     I second that. Moreover, there should be some feedback on every suggestion. In an other MMO, a suggestion was tagged by the team after short time (usually a week, sometimes two as it was a small team as well). The tags were: rejected (this could come with a short explanation but not necessarily so) duplicate (already suggested, with link to original suggestion) under consideration (this could lead to further status change, usually within a couple of weeks) postponed (might be reconsidered at later time) accepted (being included in work list to be done) under implementation (about to appear in one of the next patches - could be half a year anyway) closed (either duplicate-closed, rejected-closed, or implemented-closed)

    I suggest the creation of a wooden scaffold like this ...to be used inside of tall walls (or any case that fits player's creative plans). It should be created on tile not border and allow a second line of tall walls adjacent to it on the other side of border tiles (like a sandwich) so that the effect of walking on the outer walls is also accomplished. Should someone chooses not to build a 2nd line of walls, they could have the option to add wooden fence or wooden parapet (so that it fits the design) on the open side. A 2nd scaffold piece should be added in the form of stairs going up. Since we may build the walls either on North-South axis or East-West, the stair-scaffold should be able to build towards the direction you're facing. As far as Height is concerned... And below is a rough representation in planner.. (scaffold-stair represented by tables ) If done correctly (mechanics-wise) it should also be used as a bridge between multistory houses, or to cover terrain slope differences (where the floor 2 is on same level to a raised slope and you want an entrance directly from elevated tile-into-upper-floor) PS. The scaffold has no defensive value whatsoever, nor it adds obstacle to a catapult. PS2. Archery should be allowed from ontop of scaffold, regardless whatever walls may exist past it (since it is such an elevated position). Only houses cannot be shot over.
