    Hello, I wanted to write about my experience here of today's events in Wurm Online. This particular day shows just how amazing game this is and most of all, how helpful and friendly the Wurmian community is. Today, my travels took me to rift on Xanadu. Before battle there was a barista who offered battle drinks before the rift opened. I tasted the splendid wine and was ready to fight. I was doing my battles against the ravaging Jackal monsters, when suddenly my untamed horse started to take damage and died very shortly after. I was scared and shocked; what killed my pony and how do I get out of the fight when all my stamina had drained during combat? Well, I just barely managed to get to the safe zone. I told on local to the fellow fighters that my proud steed had fallen, and immediately I got several offers of help; Nenjisan kindly offered a ride on her cart to fight safely, Thorinoakshield offered me a pony to borrow for the fight. One other fellow offered me a pony as well, but I cannot recall his/her name, so sorry about that. So the fight continued with a new steed and we closed the rift successfully. Thorin also offered a ride to my boat which was few mins away and I accepted the offer! But my day wasn't over. I had set my mind on yet another adventure. I heard about this latino artist on Pristine wanting to learn moves from the Wurmian community itself and I thought I wanted to help him out. But time was running out, so I had to sail as fast as I could. And what do you know, I landed to Pristine 5 mins before the group dance session and asked for a summon. Dunelly was kind to summon me whenever I moored my boat on the shore. And so I was there, Latino Dancing Session hosted by Stanlee and I was right on time. I showed couple of moves to the Artist and he fell the the ground eventually, probably exhausted by the group dance. Pandalet kindly mixed blood to a potion for me. Then night was setting in, sun was getting low. I needed to reach my boat again. Then Jaz asked if anyone wanted a ride to east coast of Pristine, and I hopped in on Jaz's cart. Luckily, his boat was parked right next to mine. What a perfect day. And there I was, admiring the scenery of Pristine, thinking on all the adventures that had occurred today, and especially all the help I got. I was so happy; could I ever find a better community than in Wurm, where I have spent over 7 years? So many folks willing to help, giving advice, doing goods for the community.     Glad to help. I had brought that wagon to show off a bit and never expected I would need one of the other horses to save someone. Only thing I did regret is not being able to take you to the boat, as promised. Not something a good Body-Dwarf would do. Yet, I'm glad to see you've had a good time after all and that despite everything, it all worked out well for you. Thorin PS: Next time I do take you to your boat.

    Lately, on my archaeological journeyings, I've taken to recording the location of lost deeds and have compiled them into a map of Harmony's past. I'm heavily inspired by 17th/18th century ink maps, but aim to put my own spin on it. I've been tinkering with it for a while, but now I think I'm ready to show a first draft. I currently only have western Harmony partially filled in (as I live there), but would like to start filling in the rest of Harmony as my playtime allows. The map itself is much too large to post here directly, but here is a small section of it, roughly around the canal at N14: Map here: Historical Map of Western Harmony Size Warning: The full image is roughly 2100x3200 and 12mb in size. Notes Western Harmony only for now, eventual goal of all of Harmony (maybe lol). Only deeds that have disbanded, that I have either started a report on or heavily suspect the location of. Gimp was used to create the image (with many many layers). The mountains and flourishes are from the Homann and Harrewyn brush sets by K. M. Alexander. I loosely followed an ink map tutorial and map style guide. Everything is a work-in-progress. Especially the label shading, font selections, and mountains. I've had a lot of fun compiling this map, I hope you enjoy it.

    I know I'm not the only person who has run into the issue of a deed token being in an inconvenient place after a deed has been around for a while. I have a fairly large deed, and the current location of the token, which was placed a LOOOOONG time ago by another player, is not a great spot and terribly inconvenient. Since taking over this deed, I've expanded it to about 5x it's original size. This was before I realized what it would take to move the token, something I wasn't looking at as a relatively new land owner. I've looked at what it would take to disband my deed and place it again, and it would be over 50 silver, in addition to the silver I'd already spent to expand it in the first place. I don't know about everyone else, but I don't enjoy spending silver for the sake of watching it go away. I'm not rich by any means. So, here's the thing. I can rename my settlement for a mere 5 silvers. That's pretty reasonable. Why can't we do something like this for the token location? Moved to another location, within the same deed, subject to restrictions such as must be outside of buildings, at least 5 tiles away from any deed border, can't be placed in water... and so on. Only let it be done every x number of months. We've paid once to place the deed, we're not putting down a new deed, we're just moving an object on the deed. It's not entirely monetary either. Perhaps there's a building on the deed that was created by someone else and you don't have manage permissions. If you disband, you can't deed over that building again. Perhaps you like the building and don't want to have to destroy it. Furthermore, placing a new deed means we will have to go through and reset all of the permissions we've got set. It's a HUGE headache for something so insignificant. Please, give us a way to fix what could be a simple mistake in location or a situation where the growth of an area has changed the needs of the players without it costing an arm and a leg and months or years of work, or please make it possible for a GM to override the system and relocate a token for us.     Hello wurmians! All time I playing this game, I do miss alchemy potions, flasks and such! And now I feel it's time to suggest this idea here. Probably you will not agree with all potions / elixirs that I offer here, but if you like any of them write of it, dont be careless So! what do I suggest, and why!? First of all - new items: And now time to talk of Elixirs: Regular Elixirs: Cooldown Elixirs: Battle Elixirs: Trowing Elixirs: Creation My reason of suggest it, first of all course its alchemy! i love alchemy and i dont feel here alchemy as alchemy! Secondary course of mushroom usage. There is not so much sence of them in the game for atm. R egular elixirs, can help not only with some effects of capasity, but also gives you nice skill to see for example traits of animals even with low AH. C ooldown elixirs can help with meditation, and faith gain, to redeuce a bit timmer for new players, who didnt join from very begining, when disconnects was renew gains each time F ight Elixirs, will give some interesting turns like when guy with maul hits you pirce dmg, or Ice pillar make acid wounds, that will help to make in pvp more unexpected ways T rowing Elixirs, will also help pvp, atm i see a bit disbalance, when non priest dont have real chances with simmilar by str priest, vacoom bomb gonna fix that a bit So! tell me what ya think of it?! Will we give new Alchemy a chance?

So please be patient while he does so >>>>>XANADU MAP HERE<<<<< How do you get a deed added or removed? Adding your Deed You must be the mayor or have permission to request deed be added. Map updates will be made every month if not more often just depending on amount. Single click anywhere on the map. Your clicked map coordinates will appear in the lower left hand corner on your screen. This will be your deed's coordinates throughout time, map dump to map dump. Post these coordinates below and we will add them to the map asap. Check out full instructions here : How does this work? Removing Disbanded Deeds We will update the map every other week with any disbands, if you know of any who are on the map as of now please post so we can get rid of them. (It should be up to date with any posted on the forums since May) Adjusting a Deed If your deed is currently on the map, but the coordinates are off please post that it is an update "To deed name" and not an add so we can just adjust the current mark. Adding Market Annotations Markets are now able to be seen by a white border around their marker. In order to qualify as a market there needs to be a minimum of 6 stocked merchants. While small sales areas are lovely and a great assest to traveling players, at this time only those deeds who offer multiple merchant options will be marked special. This will possibly change in the future with coming updates/colors.     Change: Altered Prayer skill gain to be significantly faster and more reliable. Note that this change only affects skill gain. The likelihood or quality of other events from prayer, such as receiving gems and gaining Faith, have not been altered. Altar quality is no longer a factor in skill gain. Higher Faith increases the chance of gaining Prayer skill. Prayer actions resulting in skill will give more skill than before. A higher percentage of prayer actions will result in Prayer skill gain, especially at higher skill levels Change: More items are now protected from accidentally being used to fuel a fire, including the following: Rare, supreme, and fantastic items Enchanted or runed items Items of very high base price Newbie items Runes Rift gear Magical chests Magical staves Indestructible items No-drop items Improvable, non-bulk items of 90 QL or higher Items that are seasonable drops, have been given as Christmas gifts or special rewards, or are similarly limited. Please note that this protection is only against using the ā€œBurnā€ command to fuel a fire. Flammable items fitting these criteria will still burn if placed on or inside a hot forge, oven, or other heat sources. In addition, selling these items to a settlement token is no longer possible in cases when it was possible before. The following also can no longer be sold in this manner: Drake hide armor Dragon scale armor Items made of moon metals (adamantine, seryll, and glimmersteel) Change: The penalty to quality level when mixing different qualities of the same item in bulk storage has been removed.     Just to clarify the things, since everyone is somehow right. I (do consider) that I did quit the game and I no longer get actively involved in the game (so this thread can and should be closed), however since I haven't found yet the next game/world in which to immerse myself, for the time being I'm still casually logging in the game, hence why some people might see me on from time to time.

    For the record - I love good RP in MMOs, but it has always felt a little clunky no matter the game: people type at different speeds, real time chat RP becomes hard to follow with more than 3-4 players, etc. My RP moments in WO have been few and far between, but they've always been enormously memorable. For example, the very first time I hired a Mag priest to help rework my mine layout by collapsing the entrance, we managed to turn the event into a small horror story. In this scene, Anacrusis (my alt) is deep in the mine, I'm welcoming the priest Argustin to the deed and showing him to the mine entrance (logs lightly edited for brevity, color added to keep the characters straight). Poor Argustin was concerned enough that we had to confirm via PM that this was all for show. Mentally, I'm almost always in character - even if most of my communication in game is OOC. I'll toss out a hook here and there to see if anyone picks up, and I'll dial it up if someone bites. For me, the tricky thing with WO is that it can be challenging to find good RP 'hooks' to create a scene - it must be something more than: "What ho, the crops need tending. I shall rake them." - one hour passes - "Ah the crops look better now!" Impalongs have a long and celebrated history - has anyone ever attempted an RP-along? Coordinating across time zones might be difficult, but I'd happily sail to another server to participate in a Harvest Festival when the leaves are turning in the fall or a proper Merchant Fair where merchants bring and display their wares. Players have always love to build marketplaces, but they're just so inefficient compared to forum posting and mailboxes. With a little forum planning, it could be fun to work out who will bring what to the Fair and we could haggle or barter at the site. I'd be willing to bet any number of folks would love to build a fairground or similar RP-focused deed. Of all the leading suggestions - I like best the option of having an RP chat tab with the same range a Local that can be turned on and off. Sometimes, I want to put my head down and focus on completing a task, and other times I'm open to RP. I'm not sure we need additional emotes/animations - /em does a lot of heavy lifting in RP and it's darn near impossible to have enough preprogrammed emotes to do everything. These are all great questions, Malena - thank you for getting this discussion started!

    A half measure might be to allow creation of a token replica which can be placed anywhere on your deed and allows access to the token menu. If you have a market and the real token not in good place for players to access the bank just pop a token replica by your market.

    Iā€™d be happy with a 1 month cooldown, but personally donā€™t think it should incur cost. If a player wants to take months if not years to walk their deed across the map with the risk of being blocked by other deeds along the way, more power to them. How does that hurt me? Sure, it allows short waliking without too much inconvenience or risk. But thatā€™s already the case to a degree: people already do shorten their deed X tiles to widen it the same amount, only to reverse later, allowing them to switch settled tiles at no cost. If the devs worry this would introduce walking as a problem, even with a one month cooldown, let them add a minimum fee to *any* changes in n-s-e-w directions through deed resize, even if total number of tiles stays the same. This way itā€™s just the walkers and resizers that pay, not those who simple want to reposition the token with their existing settlement.

    Not trying to be rude. I've had experiences in the past where people made new forum accounts just for things like an auction. If they didn't get enough hype for it or enough silver, the auctioneer would magically vanish never to be heard of again. There's been many times something has happened and a good clue was that the one in question was a brand new account, no pic, no previous posts. Maybe I'm jaded from previous dealings with people. I wont question the post anymore since multiple alliance members spoke up and the OP sent me a PM. Again wasn't trying to be rude but always a skeptic. Good luck with the auction and congrats on finding it.

    Right now the biggest issue is that your pet is a target magnet, there is no clear way to save it from being killed if the combat started other than killing the aggressive mob before your pet dies. Leading or riding away is another solution but way too stressful. Need a passive mode for pets.

    In my opinion all new players should have a curve that grows as the game ages for the first few weeks to months of their premium. It's very hard for new players to come in and compete against veteran accounts especially on PvP servers.

    That absurd is criticized since years, if they change this one, I will buy myself a t-shirt "I ā¤ļø Wurm devs". @Carmichael Considering such a Draconian time limits, getting 100% change of a meditation tick wouldn't be so bad. It is so annoying that you can meditate like 5 times and get no tick and meditation perks are really not worth it, and this is why players do not skill meditation. In fact if not the journal I wouldn't touch meditation with 10 meters long hot poker. It is boring, obnoxiously painful ordeal.

    While I understand and can appreciate the time it took to grind out this skill, and your position on the changes, to me the logic you are using does not hold up for the future of this game. Yes prayer is a pain to grind, grats to you for doing it, but to someone, every other skill is a pain to grind. To the player that does not know how to min/max/sweetspot grinding, they can just as easily spend many many more hours grinding a skill that you may know how to do in much less time. Should we not look at any skills then and make no changes because some of the player base spent more time doing something then someone else? I'd support a special title or something for those that hit 70 before this fix, that would be a pretty cool thing if it was added. To say that the skill was hard for me, it should be hard for you, is asking to remain in the stone age. The future of the game and what the devs believe to be a benefit to the game is what should matter. If anything, the fact that these issues come up when these kinds of changes are suggested or actually added to the game, to me shows that there was a problem with that skill to begin with. Though I do think it can become an issue with how far is to far when making these kinds of changes. How much easier should any one skill be made. There was a time in WoW that the game started to be "dumbed" down to try to make it more attractive to more casual players and this hurt the hard core player base. This is an issue that can happen pretty easy, especially here in Wurm.

    We would rather ensure that the approach is balanced regardless of when the change is made, just because people in the past had things harder doesn't mean we shouldn't look at improving things in the future.

    I second that. Moreover, there should be some feedback on every suggestion. In an other MMO, a suggestion was tagged by the team after short time (usually a week, sometimes two as it was a small team as well). The tags were: rejected (this could come with a short explanation but not necessarily so) duplicate (already suggested, with link to original suggestion) under consideration (this could lead to further status change, usually within a couple of weeks) postponed (might be reconsidered at later time) accepted (being included in work list to be done) under implementation (about to appear in one of the next patches - could be half a year anyway) closed (either duplicate-closed, rejected-closed, or implemented-closed)
