    The current system is not that bad as it is pictured by some of the playerbase. No notification on the spawn and being semi random did a big change. Lately quite pretty amount of uniques are found by random wanderers - or better the uniques find them. I'm not against a nice overhaul but making uniques another rift would put another nail in the coffin of the sandbox aspect of the game. Rifts and clocked events are utterly boring after the third one and become nothing more than chores (I'm so VERY happy I'm over the 100 rifts and probably will never go near one anymore). Rift scout camps are much more within the Wurm sandbox style, I actually enjoy finding and fighting them. The incentives should go towards making people leave deed and wander and not the contrary. Ppl hidden away in the depth of their deeds will make wurm lands feel empty which I don't see how being good to the game.

    i think they got rid of that for a reason a hatchling sure, a dragon you can't even damage with 20 strength accounts (you can see it in the hit counter for the black dragon which is one of the weakest dragons + it was starving + it wasn't venerable http://webbrar.co.uk/uniques/table.php?data=sbVQGcJqO3 only 35 people out of 155 attackers actually damaged it, and this is months into the server)so unless you've got 20+ prem accs over 30 strength, gear for them all and whatnot, and at that point with all the premium you're paying for these accounts you could just buy a scale set, no? Have you actually seen anyone solo a dragon with alts outside of pvpers that have access to shared strong accounts or are you just assuming that it's possible and therefore a huge problem? I don't really have any strong feelings towards changing or keeping the current system, but your suggestion seems to be based on the fear of something that isn't even feasible to profit from

    I went to Independence today. While the Xan community map is arguably superior in many ways to the Indy one, the Indy one has some great features that ours does not.     do you mean to list on picture? on that shelves in my house i have all wagons renamed with dates of when kingdom was existing (copied from chaos kingdom history), and the same info i added to https://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Player_made_kingdom or the version with desciption, if like it better :) other disbanded kingdoms not added graphics, and two new kingdoms not added yet if my info is up to date

    I have no interest in starting grinds all over again, been there and done that once, that is enough. I play with the same friends I have known for years. I have no interest in losing that either. A well established deed with good supply of mats on hand. I have no reason to go to the new servers.

    Hi!:) With the new rename horse ability coming up in the loyality system i was wondering if a rename character one could be added aswell. I know that character rename is not a technical issue but more of an ability to keep track of bad rep people and "special persons of interest" for some but with the new tools added that can track any item in game or skill gains i dont think it would be too much work to get a character name tracker too. And make it so that when someone examines another person an extra line could be added that says: this character was formerly known as: [name 1][name 2] You could even make it that is tracked/highlighted serverwide for a while too like you would track deeds formed and disbanded on niarja could have a message pop on the event and/or friends tab pop every time a toon logs in with a message: the folowing characters have been re-named this month: from x to y etc If it would be too long of a message then just make it a stickied forum post and the in-game message would be just a link to it and if is on the forum people could use it to search for a toon's history in it before dealing in game. We would all be lill fbi agents checking out the suspect in the database:) I think people would really like it. My reasoning is to get rid of a really long name that is also hard for people to spell when they want to mail me free stuff:0 Others might want to do it because they bought toons and want to re-name them and have own stamp on them and others will want to escape bad rep i guess. But with the message on examine and the forum post that would not be possible. L.E. I would not mind making it a one time thing (similar to the one time free deity switch for the priests update) or having a cooldown too, as in make it cost 3x horse name but only be usable once a year.

    I know I'm not the only person who has run into the issue of a deed token being in an inconvenient place after a deed has been around for a while. I have a fairly large deed, and the current location of the token, which was placed a LOOOOONG time ago by another player, is not a great spot and terribly inconvenient. Since taking over this deed, I've expanded it to about 5x it's original size. This was before I realized what it would take to move the token, something I wasn't looking at as a relatively new land owner. I've looked at what it would take to disband my deed and place it again, and it would be over 50 silver, in addition to the silver I'd already spent to expand it in the first place. I don't know about everyone else, but I don't enjoy spending silver for the sake of watching it go away. I'm not rich by any means. So, here's the thing. I can rename my settlement for a mere 5 silvers. That's pretty reasonable. Why can't we do something like this for the token location? Moved to another location, within the same deed, subject to restrictions such as must be outside of buildings, at least 5 tiles away from any deed border, can't be placed in water... and so on. Only let it be done every x number of months. We've paid once to place the deed, we're not putting down a new deed, we're just moving an object on the deed. It's not entirely monetary either. Perhaps there's a building on the deed that was created by someone else and you don't have manage permissions. If you disband, you can't deed over that building again. Perhaps you like the building and don't want to have to destroy it. Furthermore, placing a new deed means we will have to go through and reset all of the permissions we've got set. It's a HUGE headache for something so insignificant. Please, give us a way to fix what could be a simple mistake in location or a situation where the growth of an area has changed the needs of the players without it costing an arm and a leg and months or years of work, or please make it possible for a GM to override the system and relocate a token for us.     i noticed a distinct lack of music instruments in a game about creating items and learning to fool around with them (yoyos anyone?) how about some classical medieval instruments for us to play with? using the fine carpentry skill we can carve: Lute body, strung with tailoring or ropemaking skill. Flute. used single, or several combined with string or wemp fiber for panflute. Harp body, strung with tailoring or ropemaking. Drum body, with hide streched over it using leatherworking. finally, once created you can perform with each instrument, gaining music skill, and possibly even skill in each instrument type. higher skill allows for better playing. lower skill causes more bad music and screw ups. much like early puppetry or yoyo skill, you'll do more messing up then playing for awhile. to take it even further, we can have the number keys represent notes once you have an instrument ether equipped or highlighted. pushing a number will attempt to play that note on the instrument. low skill will cause off key or wrong notes. high skill will allow people to play songs in game. multiple players masters different instruments could put on concerts, or form entire medieval symphonies!

    Rites should add +5 hours to sleep bonus no matter how much you have. Why? Rites are global, nobody has any control over when other will cast it, soemtimes people try plan this and try make it easier for others but often it is sniped and people lsoe out. leaving bad blood with members of the community but with many players losing out on valuable sleep bonus. Often if these events are planned to happen it is to help people have time to ge ready to recieve a fresh 5 hours sb, burning their old sleep bonus in adavance. This often communicated between players on the forums with no real ingame method to view this, often over looked or ingored by a large portion of the community. It seems only logical to removed any of the ill effects of sniping, busy life styles or simply no meta(forums) gaming desires. So yeah rites should add 5 hours sb to your sleep bonus not refresh it to 5 hours. I myself was caught recently unawares by this cast today, when i was chain praying and it was cast as my pray finished. i lost 3 hours of potential sb(i had not had time to burn the 3 hours).

    I am the one who is currently editing the Xanadu map, however I am not the creator, nor can I make a new layer of data show up on the map. I edit the spreadsheet that contains deed names and coordinates as well as separate sheets for bridges and tunnels. Those are then laid over the map dumps provided by the devs on a yearly basis. The creator of the map, and the one who would be able to add in a landmark layer is @jackjoneswho is not currently playing regularly on Xanadu. If he wants to take the time and effort to add this feature in, I'd be able to add landmarks via the existing Xanadu Map thread. One of the potential issues I see with this is that people would have different names for landmarks and the like. Getting a consensus on naming features would need to be done outside of the aforementioned map thread, as I don't want that discussion cluttering up that thread. Another issue is just the overall cluttering up of the map. If people start naming every lake and mountain or hill on Xanadu, it'll be hard to find deed names amongst all the clutter. But, if you can get Jack on board to add that feature, and work out a system for consensus in naming features, I'll be glad to add them.

    Big +1 from me. I'd love to join the community in naming the landmarks on Xan. Would be nice to have a poll for every landmark for different names and the one with the most votes will win? I'd say you should contact whoever is editing the Xan map. Best of luck!

    this change doesn't increase the amount of sb given? disliking a change is fine but that's not even a sensical reason, if making something accessible to more people makes it as broken as you're making it out to be that just means the base mechanic is broken for the few who can properly utilize it.

    This is about where you lost me. In my experience I am just not aware of hoarded dragons (oooh, dragon hoards would be some good game content). If you are looking for public dragons, just come to Release. Stanlee puts on a public dragon slaying almost every weekend (okay, I exaggerate, it's probably more like every couple of weeks), and he's just one guy.

    The tunnel has now been completed. It runs directly under the mountain from Encore in a southerly direction to Bree and is 200 tiles long and overcomes an altitude difference of about 690 slopes. A cobblestone way begins in southwest of Encore and leads to the entrance.

    Unholy Token/Holy Token Token Shop marks 35k Untradeable, no drop item. Reduces Faith Skill to 1, but stores it for reuse, to re-apply the faith you had previously. Ive had a priest for many years now and something ive always wanted to do (and im sure many others) is to depriest and do a small amount of grinding (2-3 weeks) then repriest but the months and months it takes to get to 100 faith is something i never wish to do ever again. As you can already buy items to change faith to another God and keep your faith skill i cant see this being a game breaking item or anything, but more of a quality of life item for a vast amount of players in the game. My idea is that you buy the item as a Unholy Token once you've used and stored your faith skill it turns into a Holy Token and on the second use it consumes the item and you get your previous faith level back. Tichs Memorial is the perfect example of a heritage site that is not a highway/tunnel, isn't a commodity and is a nostalgic, heartful action that the community believes should be a permanent addition to the game. C. is the hardest one for this suggestion, for more than obvious reasons. D. Although it is possible to deed on heritage sights, only the owner can make edits to the heritage - if an Orchard or Plantation is heritage - that means all it can be used for is to collect sprouts - it can't even be cut down/replanted, the land can't be utilized. Unlike Canals or Highways where you can deed over them and not have to worry, as long as you don't block travel through those. It is not against the rules to place or extend a deed over a Heritage.     I think I've figured out what's causing all these problems with the diseases, and grazing of wrong tiles and such. So in this picture are two cows attached to the hitching post. I packed the ground about 10hrs ago to deliberately make it impossible to graze on that tile. However as you can see in the event log in the picture, when I replanted the tile just now only the cow on the left "Cow 7 - No Graze" eats (and eats a lot), whilst the cow on the right "Cow 9 - Ghost Graze" doesn't eat at all in the same time. Clearly only Cow 7 was starting to starve. https://imgur.com/a/ptgl6PC That's because they were attached to the post in two different ways. Cow 7 was lead to the post, hitched, then immediately unhitched, lead and hitched again. This is the method I use to force the cow to standing on the same tile as the hitching post when re-hitched. Cow 9 was lead to the hitching post, but was NOT stood on the same tile as the hitching post when she was hitched, and I did NOT do the unhitch-hitch method to force her to stand on the correct tile. In conclusion then, I believe that when you right-click hitch whilst leading an animal the animals visual location changes to indicate it's being hitched to the post. Crucially, however, I believe it's 'mechanical' position is still exactly where it was stood when it was hitched. This could cause disease (in the case of being stood on an overpopulated tile in the moment before hitching) , and ghost-grazing as I call it, as the animal is still technically stood where it was in the moment before it was hitched. I have 15 Hitching posts testing this theory and in 24hrs it as proved universally true. Using the above method to force an animal to stand on the hitching post tile before hitching has worked flawlessly. Whereas If I deliberately lead an animal in such a way as it is stood on a tile other than the hitching post tile when I click hitch, it will remain on that tile for the mechanical purposes of calculating disease and grazing/trampling.

    @Oakmaiden Sad to hear your mares changed owner without consent, and the new and proud of himself owner didn't return them. If you could sail to Pristine, I have 2 pure 5sp silver black girls I could part with, since I'm not playing there a lot nowadays. All you need are 2 animal cages, a ship able to contain them and a forum pm sent to me, to agree over an hour and day you could come and pick them up. For your own safety, never, and I mean NEVER keep animals and things you care about in your perimeter, unless in a house with high ql, finished walls. And never have any important horse taken offdeed without being branded. Ever.

    Feels redundant to completely start over on the new servers, knowing that after the hype dies they will return to the lower population, with less people of higher calibre to make the longer grinds easier etc etc....

    I created a new toon for the new servers. Played there a few days. Totally lost interest after hitting the 20 cap and not wanting to premium and deed somewhere *again*. I've created a lot of toons on many games and many alts, but the slow grind of Wurm makes it less than fun to have to grind up from zero, yet again. That's just me. Some people love it and that's their favorite play style. More power to them. Everyone enjoys Wurm differently. But for me it's my deed on Pristine that, even though looks MASSIVELY different than it used to, holds the fondest memories for me. No WU server has really done that but one, and it doesn't exist anymore. New toons on a new server, new lands, are exciting for a short while, but just don't have the staying power for me that my first and oldest deed does. I know every inch of the area around my deed for 'kilometers' around, and I like it that way. It's home.

    Think on this too, for pvp servers. As long as no enemies are in local or on deeded tiles (whatever is best) you can move your token. You got drained last night? Move your token to throw off the enemy! Build a harder to break through building or dirt pit and relocate the token. It's not just for freedom convenience now, but has real pvp use. +1
