    Double wide gates of any kind please, more options please! I remember either I or someone else years ago posted about drawbridges during the bridge dev period. It'd be fantastic to have them added to wurm and have real pve and pvp value

    I would also like more info on about/when the pvp server will be live. Pretty hard to build hype with no info to go off of. Less then a month to go and barely any promotion/advertising. Some people I talked to wasn't even aware of a steam launch. I always said I would be back if there was a new pvp server launch. Since I had so much fun with epic. So here I am.

    Can you show me where the bridge is for this building? For now I'm adding it to the beasts inside buildings because of bridges and steep slopes issue. Will move it out if it only happens for you with rift beasts. Thanks for the report.

    Which is why we need an option to toggle player owned property, from houses to vehicles/gates to "vacation mode". Your stuff is protected for whatever duration you think you'll be offline, be it 3 months, scaling up to 6 or 12 months depending on your prem time and/or total playtime (as a loyalty reward). Lot of competitive mmos have such a feature, especially those types of games where you constantly attack your neighbours. Your property can be set for lower decay (while being offline) and non-lockpickable. If vacation mode expires, then items start taking decay. If 3 months pass AFTER vacation mode expires then locks should drop off your stuf IF not on a deed. There's way too much protectionism for garbage in this game. Thousands of abandoned carts, boats, chests, empty fsb's, bsbs, etc. There needs to be a mechanic in place that says "Ok we gave you several options to secure your stuff. Anything beyond that is your responsibility. If you lose your precious serryl plate armour set, then don't keep it in a chest, keep it in your inventory or bank." This isn't about thievery itself, it's about what extremism (game mechanics wise) we want to have in Wurm when it comes to people abandoning stuff that take years to decay. It really isn't pretty when many neighbours quit and your own place is surrounded by garbage dumps.

    This friday I received notice from MrBloodworth that he will leave the Wurm Online graphics team. Since we now have Emil/Wox as a hired graphics team leader the situation is covered which is the good part. As most of you have noticed, Mrbloodworth effectively took over as Graphics team leader when Mortimar stepped down back in 2009. Back then I was reluctant on appointing a new team leader because I wanted a more permanent solution, but MrBloodworth took command and filled that void in a fantastic way. He has been involved in creating the graphical design direction we have today including the website, coordinating efforts, pushing both me and the client developers and suggesting solutions and improvements such as showing items in camp fires. MrBlood was also a driving force behind the quest area in Freedom Market and held popular Zombie events on Independence. He and his small team (mainly consisting of Saroman) have replaced countless models and textures, improving the looks of Wurm significantly and helped keep Wurm moving forward while I was busy coding Epic. So a big round of applause and thank yous for MrBloodworth please! We all hope to see you around both now and then and here and there!

    I would like to suggest we allow lock picking items off deed when the person who locked said item has been inactive 3 months. This would allow people an easier time to clean up areas where there is a ton of "locked" rubbish and give the lockpick skill a little use on freedom.

    To make it more interesting to grind the channelling skill on Freedom, especially for main account priest/s. Also allow priests to complete tasks in their journal without having to go to Epic to do them. And this would make the praying skill in general more interesting and useful. Prayer skill effects: Base favour regain should be effected by prayer skill 20% at skill level 1.00 to 100% at skill level 100.00 Same curve as "Effective quality" from Weapon/Armour (1/20%, 10/34.7%, 20/43.6%, 30/50.4%, 40/56.1%, 50/61.2%, 60/65.8%, 70/70%, 80/80%, 90/90%, 100/100%) The old static base favour regain should meet the new regain between 50-70 prayer skill Gifts from the Gods [https://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Praying]: Gifts from the Gods chance should be based on prayer skill 1% at skill level 1.00 to 3% at skill level 100.00 (current chance is static 2%) NEW Gift: get up to 15-45 second buff "Gain x shatter resistance while enchanting items" x should be a static value between 1-5% Altar: Gifts from the Gods chance modified on altar type and quality (100% shows here 2% static chance now or actual 1-3% chance effected by prayer) Example Table: Location Ql-1 Ql-100 God specific location 50% 50% Wooden 25% 75% Stone 35% 85% Silver 45% 95% Gold 50% 100% Electrum 60% 110% Number in table could be changed base on god Fo - switch wood with gold Libila - switch "God specific location" (corpses) with gold ....     I saw someone put up a post about doors, and decided to put a suggestion out there I've been mulling over for a bit. I don't think it would be too complicated: Add castle gates. To plan, a player would stand on the tile on one side of where they would want the gate, and then right click>plan> castle gate on the adjacent tile which would be the other side of the castle gate. Result would be a two tile wide, two tile high large door or gate. Could have the option to plan large wooden doors or portcullis type gates, or large palisade style gate. We can build large castle like structures in this game- We need some awe inspiring castle gates to do them justice! And while we are at it... ...drawbridges, anyone? Humbly submitted... ~TH~

    Is there a reason why we are not allowed to customize a deed's perimeters on each side of the deed independent of the other sides? Say I have a friend and neighbor that is on my east side, close to me. I'm fine with them there and have no desire to expand my deed's perimeter in their direction. However, I want to protect the north, south and/or west sides of my deed for further planned expansions or other purposes, and I'm willing to spend the coin to do so. I can't, though, because my neighbor is too close on the east. Please allow us to customize our deed perimeters in the same way we can set deed boundaries- by adding an option to choose the size of our perimeters on each side of the deed independently of the other sides. So in the Wurm Unlimited code there is a list of all the wood types, but for some reason it is missing lingonberrywood and orangewood. At first I thought it was because they were less common wood types, but raspberrywood and blueberrywood are included. Thanks for the report.

    Make one tile as high as you can, stand under it, level adjacent tiles. (two story building, stills on top, still plenty of clearance) Leveling one tile takes about 20 minutes of just standing there. This is a shot from on top of that building

    I am not sure if those saying this have read and comprehended the objections at all. It is not just about casual players, but includes players who need to be away for various reasons for various periods. Who are we (or the developers) to be the gatekeepers on whether the reason is good enough or the period is short enough? This can't be about tidying up, because there is plenty of scope for that.

    I've seen and used both methods, I think the building the tower is easier. it gets hard sometimes to reach back to the ceiling over the entrance if you mine up and then flatten the ceiling then level the floor. just my opinion either method works tho.

    I've started a project with big open space. Started mining out at 200 slope higher than future floor. Left ceiling flat and working on mining it all down on floor 200 down (I think max is like 224 mining actions down without touching ceiling). (and strongwall is very helpful to collapse mess ups, and to collapse ramps if needed)

    I used to build 1x1 towers that reached as high as I needed to go, and ceiling mined everything until it was flat. Tore it all down again and moved to the next section, rinse and repeat. Or I'd make a ramp like you are on now and reach as far as I could. I'd imagine there is a more efficient way, just how I did it back when they first introduced buildings to cave systems etc.

    I'd encourage all for whom it's reasonably possible to show up at the Impalong just to experience what one is like. I'm sure you'd be able to get one of your tools improved to a very nice quality level and there's no payment required! Impalongs aren't just for those doing the imp'ing. It's for the community as well, to share the experience and whatever special events are put on as well.

    What use are new players to an old top heavy economy to which they cannot participate? Wurms fatal flaw decision was letting people trade, share, sell hyper-leveled accounts thus pumping the economy ever higher instead of having any balance and pushing new players usefulness out who join, I can tell you from my new player perspective that Wurms biggest boon is its market trade and economy. Yet they effectively killed it over time with accounts that should have died off with the original owners.
