I will pay 5 silver to the owner of this shed once the shed has been removed and Ajala has gotten her deed back. Just give your name to Ajala and let her know as you blow up the shed and once she confirms she was able to redeed, mail me a woodscrap for 5 silver. Now you have something to gain by blowing up this shed. Ajala, welcome back and let me know if you'd like help rebuilding. This offer expires if Ajala gives up and deeds elsewhere.

Hi all. Today I came back to the game after a lengthy bout of Covid that very nearly killed me to find that my deed, Pumpkin Fields, had disbanded a couple weeks ago due to lack of upkeep. Bummer! But, you know, ###### happens. I'm not too bothered, but it seems that somebody has built a shed within the boundaries of my old deed, over the tile my rare forge was on. That shed is preventing me from redeeding a location I've been using for several years, since my first week in the game, so I'd like to appeal to that person to delete or remove permissions on that shed so I can remove it and redeed the area. You can keep the forge and anything else you took. It's fair looting under the game's rules and I'm not upset with you, I just want my location back, and you have nothing to gain by maintaining the shed any longer. Hopefully, whoever put the shed there will read this and either transfer ownership to me or somehow otherwise get rid of it. Thanks!

Locked Creature Cage permissions do not overwrite deed permissions. If a person has unload permission on a deed, and unloads their cages, they are not permitted to load them back into ship or push off deed even if they own them, unless deed load or push permissions exist. This differs from locked permissions on carts and wagons, that do overwrite deed permissions. Also, cage do not show name of owner, like most other locked items.

Depends, interestingly enough at the inde rift during restart I was only in the combat tab and only the 20 minute and 3 minute warning was given. They were all as normal in event, but given I wasn't watching there, there wasn't a pop up for it. More clueless people or looking away briefly might easily miss those messages especially in the massive combat spam. Should really do something like runescape does - puts a timer on your screen counting down to the restart so it can't be missed

Welcome back to wurm Ajala! Very sorry to hear your return has had a rough start. Though I can not help you with the building I would like to help you with the forge. Pm me when you are able to. I have a 90ql Rare Forge here with your name on it. Just need to know where to drop it off at.

Currently you can become an outlaw by trebbing on a deed that you have permissions to. It's really not clear that you are taking a reputaion loss when doing it, and you don't have to hit anything either. When you're an outlaw you can't join any settlement, but prior to this you could create one. You can't anymore, because you can't create a deed outside of influence (it's a requirment for outlaw settlement) Also, the game thinks you are an enemy to yourself so pendulum only picks you up. [13:39:35] You are practically standing on the enemy! (I'm the only one around.) It also makes your own spells hurt you. [13:41:30] You cast Wrath of Magranon. [13:41:30] You hit himself hard in the right upper arm and hurt it. [13:41:30] Your weapon infects you with a disease. [13:41:30] You infects you with a disease.

The forge is definitely gone. I can see inside (no roof) and a GM confirmed it's no longer there. I don't care about the forge, I just want my deed back.

if you build over a secured item you can unsecure it since its inside your building and you own it now, same as deeding over a secured item

look i'm not gonna sit here and argue with your weird thoughts about how uniques are found and how you seem to be the expert on where uniques spawn when as far as i know you haven't found a single one since the spawn changes, but if it was easy as you say, just checking certain spots, why wouldn't more people be doing it for the awesome unique loot and to make public slayings to stick it to the private unique squads? it's not hard to look at the server map and see where deeds are, that's all public info i wish i was told about this i ride around the entire map like a complete dumbass when i look for uniques

In the second example you can do a similar thing, you have to remove one of the V tiles first, then you can remove tile 1. Any of the V should do. It's like that old game with X and O, say you want: XO OX where X is a closed tile, O is an open tile. Such "diagonal of empty" is not supported in wurm, and always when you try to mine out the second O we'll get a message about "side shaft". If you need both O opened, you have to open an X first. Note: the message sounds like it's talking about dangerous shafts, but don't read it that way, it's talking about side things, diagonal things, it can't do. It can't make two caves meet only in one corner, diagonally adjacent.

So it was announced that the great man of wurm Gordonlee has passed from us to the great sleep of earth. And shall be no more cleansing wurm of its evils and helping those who are new to wurm. I have talked to those who lived breathed and built an empire with him Bearfoot Emporium of setting up a memorial. I would like to know how devs think this should be done because I would like it not to rot. His deed one of the LONGEST ever in Xanadu shall soon pass from this world to dust to the wurm soil once again. I Plus others will be working on this commemoration of our gentle soul and his good works. Devs if you could let me know how you have been handling this with other great warriors of wurm who have left us I would appreciate it. Puncher.

Hi, I have recently found this quirk, either is a bug or the highway documentation needs to be updated, how to remove pavement from highway without destroying it: 1. The pavement has to be laid on a very thin dirt layer. 2. After a dig actions to remove all dirt, the border has to be not flat, so you can level. 3. Level, the pavement will be destroyed and the rock layer exposed. If you try to dig all around of tile you wiill get a standard "You can't dig in solid rock" error. 4. After dropping a dirt you will get dirt. Highway seems to be functional after this operation, so I left it for you to investigate, it is West of Elysium Bay on Independence, nest to Karkinos deed. Dear Sir or Ma'am: I have been requested by the Celebration National Unique Company to contact you for assistance in resolving a matter. The Celebration National Unique Company has recently concluded a large number of contracts for Unique exploration in the sub-Xanadu region. The contracts have immediately produced moneys equaling 40,000,000 Silver. The Celebration National Unique Company is desirous of unique exploration in other parts of the world, however, because of certain regulations of the Celebration Government, it is unable to move these funds to another region. You assistance is requested as a non-Celebration citizen to assist the Celebration National Unique Company, and also the Central Bank of Celebration, in moving these funds out of Celebration. If the funds can be transferred to your deed, in your Independence account, then you can forward the funds as directed by the Celebration National Unique Company. In exchange for your accommodating services, the Celebration National Unique Company would agree to allow you to retain 10%, or 4 million silver of this amount. However, to be a legitimate transferee of these moneys according to Celebration law, you must change the default role name in your deed to your player name, and change the permissions so that you may access it. If it will be possible for you to assist us, we would be most grateful. We suggest that you meet with us in person in Celebration, and that during your visit I introduce you to the representatives of the Celebration National Unique Company, as well as with certain officials of the Central Bank of Celebration. Time is of the essence in this matter; very quickly the Celebration Government will realize that the Central Bank is maintaining this amount on deposit, and attempt to levy certain depository taxes on it. Yours truly, Prince Oblivionn Reaver dont actually change your perms tho lol

This right here would be a nice implementation in Wurm. Either that or partially instance them on ground that can't be modified, built upon or anything. Everyone gets to kill uniques but the participation level (like rifts) may vary. I wouldn't mind if Dragons had certain entourages attached to them. Call them whatever you like, dragonlings, dragonkin, etc. Kill the henchmen, then the boss, get participation points you can redeem at a token for scales, blood, skulls, rare bones, unique meat, etc. As for specific kg dropped from uniques, I'd rather not see that. A sad fact of Wurm is that Epic in the past had (for no clear reasons) less scale/hide drops from dragons than Freedom. There aren't many Epic players around that remember those days, but the same uniques you'd find on Freedom yielded less drops on Epic. Many of us experienced how pointless uniques were when , even with 15 hunters, people only got 0.03 kg of scales. It was laughable compared to the effort. It took some of us 4-5 years on those drops just to make a jacket and pants. I'd rather see drops as proportionate to a player's combat performance in the unique fight. Combat performance could be judged by a formula that factors in : hits missed, hits completed, dodges/blocks done by player, damage done to unique, healing ally in combat, whether through cotton or spells. The better your performance the more scales you'd get. It's just an idea to support merit and reward for grinding fight skills. Thus alts would be discouraged to win anything, or not be elligible at all if they had low combat stats.

    -1. Terrible, poorly thought-out idea.
  33. 1 point
it's countered by the fact that scale loses ql insanely fast and has to be reimped more often than other armors, not to mention the upfront cost in materials they had it using drake/scale to imp on epic and they removed it after some time because it was garbage
  34. 1 point
incentives alt spamming more than anything, you shouldn't be forced to have half a dozen accs or buy drake/scale to ever have a hope of finishing your set.

But you're wrong. You're working off the assumption hoarders would increase the number of people that attend, rather than rolling more prem alts and/or accounts they have access to. You're giving them more valuables. There's also the pretend argument that people exclusively do this for money and/or to regulate the sell price on the market. Creating more resource means it loses rarity, and therefor value. Within a year you're likely to see the precious "endgame" armour really turn into common fare, and then we'll be back on the carousel of how bad the devs are for not predicting this. I rate your presentation a -2, that's a -1 for not thinking long enough about it and -1 for font size

Hopcliff and I galloped uphill through groves of olive trees so thick that it was impossible to see ahead. I knew that the path had not been traversed by anyone for a long time, because a white-dotted flower was right on it. I seemed to reach the very top, and, suddenly: unicorns, dozens of them! Ahh, a magical unicorn hangout place. The unicorns were so many that one of them was even diseased!

I can't hitch for example calves or foals to hitching posts. The game says something like "The adolescent calf is too weak.". This makes sense for hitching to wagons, but surely the weaker an animal is, the easier it is to hitch to a stationary post?

Sailed from Release to Xanadu as a passenger on a boat. Once crossed over to Xanadu, teleported home using karma port while stil embarked on boat. Interacted with meditation rug, used bed in home to log out. Play was entirely normal. Logged back in 24 hours later. Had been teleported from my home to location of boat; all inventory changes were intact. I was still emarked on the boat, sleep bonus looks like it had been restored by bed. I was able to disembark from boat and play as per normal.

I do not live on Xanadu, but a friend does. I asked him to brand a hell horse, so I could use it to hunt without fear of losing my good horse gear to a random stranger. An adolescent hell horse was branded, and not tamed. I attempted to cast charm animal and got the following message: [16:32:02] The adolescent fat Raidhall rolls its eyes and looks too nervous to focus. I then tried activating a chopped garlic to tame the animal and got the same exact message. So, I then asked the village mayor that branded the horse to attempt to tame it. He was able to try, but didn't have the skill to succeed. The hell horse clearly turned toward him and let him try to tame it. I have been given full permissions for the horse, including manage to add other people, I was not standing on deed (I was in perimeter). I can lead it, I can ride it, I can put gear on it (only because it is branded), but I cannot tame it. This would be a problem if I were not a Fo priest who does not aggro hostile creatures.

Associated support tickets #72780 and #72784. It seems that catseyes, once they start decaying, will continue to decay, even if part of an active highway system. Consider the following: Start a new highway from an existing waypoint. To do this, you start adding a line of catseyes on a paved road. Perhaps your endpoint is a great distance away, and you do not have enough catseyes to complete the highway. The line of catseyes you have added will be blue. The last catseye added will be red. This red catseye will immediately start decaying, since it is not part of a highway system. (The decay may not be immediately noticeable.) The blue catseyes will not decay at all until the red catseye has completely decayed and is gone. At that point, the next catseye in line will become red, and it too will start decaying. All the above is the "normal" and desired behavior. Say you later return to this started highway and continue adding catseyes to the highway. Now the catseye that had been red, (and started decaying, perhaps unnoticed) will be blue. When you complete the highway, all the catseyes will turn green. However, any catseyes that had started decaying (the red catseye from the above example) will continue to decay. This decay will continue until the decaying catseye is gone and the highway goes offline. The highway will then turn blue, and the catseyes on each side of the now missing catseye will turn red and they too will start decaying. This is not the desired behavior. The current logic seems to be to continue decaying any catseyes that have damage > 0. The logic needs to be modified to only continue decaying catseyes that are red.

This can actually be a useful bug for finishing things like support beams, removing many clicks. I'd create them with (say) birchwood logs, then add the stack to the crafting window, add shafts of a different wood type, and because the support beams dropped out of the window one at a time, I could attach shafts to the entire stack just hitting "continue". Then, I'd drag the unfinished beams back in, add logs of the original wood type, and again be able to attach them to the entire stack as the beams dropped out. I could then end with attaching the ribbons. Much easier than the normal way of using the crafting window.
